  1. Hi again. There is no doubt the stuttering is caused by EPLRS from AWACS. We fly more than 3 hours without EPLRS and absolutely no freeze. As soon as I turn it on they come back... Its a major issu for a BVR theatre...
  2. Hello A very nice thing to have in mission is from far : something we don't know, something we would never expect to be hapenning, something very suprising, etc... How great are missions where lots of differents things happening all along your flight, which feel alive ! But when you flight this mission again, things feel familiar... and when you fly again, you already now what's going to happen, again and again... Because everything is already written. This fantastic mission you loved become tastless, because everything have to be written. The only way to make things each time differents is adding some kind of randomness to your mission. Then, each time you fly your beloved mission, something have changed. How great is the feeling of being suprise into your own mission ! Moreover, isn't " surprise effect " the most realistic factor ? So shouldn't it be a priority in a combat simulator game ? to have something you would never think about ? Multiplayer is very great for that, because you can't predict player actions. But how to do it in PVE mission ? One of the way is triggers : First step is: once, random 50, group activate Great. But how to do it during the mission ? we need more surprise! once random 50, flag 1 is true then once, flag 1 is ture and time more 120 sec, group activate. Yes ok nice, but i mean with more " randomness" you see ?? like a time interval ! But... there is no time interval To create a time interval you can do that : But omg... its going to take 30min to make only one unit wth ?? Triggers are ok for few groups. But when you have more than 30 groups on each coalition, 60 differents kind of groups you need to setup one by one. Its going to be such a crazy nightmare that just thinking about it hurts my brain. Second step is : if DCS can't, third party and mod could --> MOOSE Yes, Moose, i love moose, it expend so much DCS capacities, it should be integrated to DCS like the "DCS coalition change in ME mod " But it took me so many hours to learn how to use the basics of moose and .lua... and im still a super noob at it. Even with Moose, creating a random spawn is " something not so obvious"... Then I simply realize : why is something so simple such as " Random spawn " not already exist in the game, or so in a simpler way ???????????? So wouldn't it be ultra supa dupa FANNNNNTASTIC to have something like that in the ME ???? ( Pro Paint user here ) Located hereis the ME might a bit too much to ask So at least, we could have this in the conditions !!!!

  6. We tryied the mission with new blue task force awacs. Everything was running perfectly. But suddently the upload/freeze started again -_- If relaunch the mission : no freeze. Now it seems the freeze are not present at mission start, but could be triggered during the mission we are investigating again. EDIT : With KJ2000, mission is running absolutely fine for more than 3 hours with 3 clients. So Blue US E3/E2 might be the problem.

IRANCHESSV2.1_FREEFLY_ZEUS IRANCHESSV2.1_FREEFLY_ZEUS.miz This is the exact same mission but withouth the Blue Awacs IRANCHESSV2.1_FREEFLY_ZEUS_NOBLUEAWACS IRANCHESSV2.1_FREEFLY_ZEUS_NOBLUEAWACS.miz The problem seem to happenning with : BLUE AWACS, US, E3 and E2. Maybe more... No uploading/freeze with BLUE TASK FORCE, KJ2000
  9. Well good news is : i'm now absolutely convince that the package/freeze were coming from the blue Awacs. I've tried to place new blue awacs : E3/E2, différent altitude/speed etc, but the problem is happening everytime. No problem at all for red awacs. Bad news is : Blue coalition AWACS are causing Freeze on my mission !! Here, you can clearly see that there is no more upload spike. And no more game microfreeze every 10sec~.
  10. Update : after many troubleshooting, i've found the origine of the problem, and i cant believe it... Its the blue AWACS !!!!! There is 2 Red Awacs and 2 Blue Awacs. I've removed the red awacs : no changes. I've remove one blue awacs : package reduced by 50%. I've removed the 2 blue awacs : NO PACKAGE UPLOADED ! I'm going to invastigate a bit more.
  11. Hi there ! With the squadron we are running missions on a dedicated server. On one mission, we have a very strange problem we struggle a lot to fix. For each client the game microfreezes every 10-12 sec. The freeze is synchronized with all client. the microfreeze is very constant, and happen whatever the graphic or the client setup. We have identified a specific value thats changes very similarly to the freeze : on each microfreeze the client is uploading a package : the bigger the package, the bigger the freeze : The problem is not showing on solo, and it does not happen to the host. Its a client problem in link with the mission. Our Dedicated server can't be the source of the problem : who ever host, the clients have the freeze : so its a client or mission issue Server specs : Z270-E i7 7700k 16G 3000Mhz SSD 1Gb on Ethernet cable. --> it cant be a server hardware/software problem, on other missions it runs perfectly fine. Client : It can't be the clients fault cause who ever it is, the problem happen. Im localy connected to the server. Some other are internet connected, some are wifi, other are cabled. My client PC specs : i7 10700k 16Gb 3000Mhz ( i know its not enough, 32 on there way :) ) RTX 3070 NVME SSD 4Gb/S Wifi 400Mbts up/down As a client, I have 2-4 ping on the server. Every client have Reshade. Can't be the problem cause no freeze on other mission/server -> it cant be a client pc hardware/software : whatever to specs or the mission or on other server it runs perfectly fine. So it must be a mission problem. The mission is Iran Chess https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/fr/files/3314295/ The " upload spike " only occures on this mission. But we can't figure WHY its happening. Sometimes, very very rarely, client have no spikes at all ! I've tried to : disable MOOSE, disable EVERY script. Only the value of the spike is changing : the more is on the mission, the bigger the upload spike. We dont feel the freeze if the spike is lower than 12kb~, we start feel the freeze from 20kb~ (sorry i dont know the units, its the number shown in dcs connexion box) They're is no mod on the mission. Clients and server have disable windows defender stuff etc... -> so problem does not happen in solo So we think that the problem is : something the mission ask the client to send. This thing is size is changing depending on what on the mission (no trigger 10kb/s, with every trigger : from 20 to 50 kb/s ) They are errors is the clients and the server logs. But i dont know where to start... the very specific thing is the interval beetwen the spikes/microfreeze: its constant whatevere the client is doing: on ground, on air, what ever the aircraft he flyies, his computer specs etc... Actually i trying to figure out : whats happening every ~10sec in the mission ? -its not realtaed to Moose : no diffrence with/without -no related to trigger : with all or none : no difference - client logs says ZSU57 and Ural skin cant be find : removed ZSU57 and change Ural skin HELP !   12. Hi ! I hope im in the good place for player request So, very simple: We need a better interface for triggers management. This one is ok when you have few triggers. But once you start having a lot, it become a nightmare to manage them. These are the points that i think, would improve trigger management: Greater interface size: this one takes only 10% of the screen ! When you have a "lists", it feels akward to scroll down the list when you have this massive blue tongue empty : Trigger interface should take the entire blue space : Being able to create folder : this one is a must have, folders to have a better visibility of what happening for example: " BLUE COALITION " " MISSION START TRIGGERS " " GROUND UNIT SPAWN " etc etc.... something like that : Flag with a name, not a number : its a nightmare to manage flags with a number. For example: You are using 10 flags. You realise you have made a mistake, you want to remove flag 5. So now, you are using flag 1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9,10. You now realize that flag 8 should be triggered earlier, before flag 3 : so now its 1,2,8,4,6,7,9,10. After that, you want a unit to start mooving when "this flag is true", and "this flag" is triggered by a helo taking of... but what is the number ??? can't it be named "HELOTAKEOFF" ?? Well... you see the point: it become a crazy mess. If we add flag with a name (btw we could still be able to have a flag named with numbers!), everything will be clear ! for example: flag : IFREDT90SPAWN flag : IF10BOMBINZONE flag : IFFLAG1AND2 flag : STARTMUSIC flag : BLUEARTYFIRE Well, this are the 3 points that to me, must be in the ME. Actually, the trigger interface make ME a nightmare when you build a "big" theatre. Fly safe, and edit your mission good ! o7
  13. MMmmm i think set up a trigger is the way to go. How can i do that, cant really find what i want in actions. The things is, i must have something like " if X attacks Y ", but Y must be ANY red gounds unit, it cant be just a group, because if have some many of them... with a random spawn etc...
  14. Hi there ! Im looking for some help to set an artillery site. I want the artillery to shoot at any ennemis getting in their shooting range. Actually, they are set to RED STATE and ROE: WEAP FREE. Their are some targets in their red circle, but the artillerie is doing nothing :( I've wait 10min to let the artillery calibrte and stuff, nothing ( the engine is not even running ?? XD ) I think if the targets aren't in the visual range, artillery needs to get the info from something else: but what is it ?

I just realise that yea, Midi controllers have tons of Rotary and sliders, and most of Flight Sim controller panels have very few and they're crazy expensive !! :D im really interesting about converting a midi for DCS : once you have converted the Midi into just a rotary panels, will you always need to have a program open to make it work in DCS??
