  1. Same as https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=279820 I will check if it happens again
  2. To me, the lack of assignable keys for red/green radio channels is the biggest issue of the module. If you play with SRS, Red Flag Campaign, or servers without easy comms, you need to frequently change channels. And currently you have to release your stick, grab the mouse, and try clicking on the tiny knobs. In VR this is a nightmare, and you can't do it while flying in formation.
  3. Here is the trk! How to reproduce : ensure wheel chocks are removed. Ask ground crew to add an external fuel tank. As soon as the fuel gauge is updated (about 4000kgs), start taxiing. The ground crew complains you are stupid. The fuel tank is there but no RP on PCA. It may be not a bug and that's fine, if only the PCA is not updated for the tank. And anyway not a big issue as other bugs. rp-bug.trk
  4. Hi, I confirm this, but how can we confirm with a .trk? The problem is there are no TACAN/ILS freq/channel assignable commands in the settings, these are only usable via the clickable cockpit. This is the same issue than radio channel selectors, they have no assignable commands.
  5. I confirm there is an issue, today forgot to switch to "NAV" after alignment, it was still on "ALN". I switched to "NAV" a few miles after takeoff, and everything was perfectly aligned. This wasn't the case before.
  6. Actually, I also observed that the ILS square is low, and the bombing cues are low. It's possible that the whole HUD is shifted low.
  7. I confirm the bug too with a clean OpenBeta install. The knob turns in both directions, but the theta or rho always increase. This happens both with the mouse and a VR controller. trk : hsi-bug.trk

    RWR update

Also, it became much harder to read in VR with not top-end headsets such as Rift S. I can't distinguish an F-16 from an AWACS without zooming now :(

    RWR update

I was about to report a bug that my RWR codes had been f#$%ed up :) I will need to keep it on the open kneeboard for some time...
  10. You can do the following test: Climb at 45000ft, M2.0 Dive -25° while trying to keep a speed of M2.0 Between 25000ft and 15000ft this is very visible. Energy chevrons under, HUD airspeed (CAS) increases a lot. True airspeed and ground speed decrease a lot (as shown on the INS). chevrons.trk
  11. I think I found the explanation, the HUD displays CAS, not TAS. So even with no wind (Where TAS = ground speed), CAS is much lower (by a factor of 0.6 or so) than TAS at high altitudes. That factor goes to 1.0 at sea level. Upon diving the CAS may increase while the TAS decreases. So the chevrons are correct, I was just not expecting CAS to increase that much while I was not accelerating, because I forgot how much CAS is lower than TAS at high altitudes.
  12. Well it seems this is not a rose garden... I have tested : "Nearest Airfield Select" and "Nearest Airfield Inbound" and it never works. Also, commands such as "Senakhi Select" kinda work, but when testing extensively with all airports VoiceAttack crashes after 20-30 tries. So it seems I can't rely on it for airport frequency selection... I have kinda wasted 15$...
  13. Yes, SELECT does the job! Also, setting the "Instant select" checkbox does make my initial command work. If you say "Senakhi Inbound" it does switch the frequency to Senakhi, then issue the command.
  14. I just figured out that VAICOM "training" feature trains me, not the recognition engine... Thanks for your answers!
  15. I know airspeed increases when diving, that's not the issue, please read the title... The problem is energy chevrons below the speed vector while the aircraft is accelerating. They should be above the speed vector. This is either A) A bug B) An effect of energy chevrons being based on ground speed, and despite having my airspeed increasing, my ground speed is decreasing because I'm leaving strong high altitude tail winds. But I do not know if the energy chevrons are ground or air speed based.
  16. Even non-FC3 aircraft have issues with this. I'm using mostly M2000C, the frequency selection is clickable-cockpit only, and have no available control binds. Ah, I will test this.
  17. Hi, I have set-up VAICOM and changed the keywords in French, and did the speech recognition training, and now it detects individual keywords fine. Now, I flied on Caucasus in DCS and tried ATC "Inbound" commands with the airport name before. The "Inbound" keyword is translated by "en approche". But if I say, for instance, "Gudauta en approche" (Gudauta Inbound), it sends the message to the wrong airport, despite having all keywords fine. Attached is a VA screenshot of what happens. Any idea?
  18. Hi, Thanks for the answers! When you say training, do you train using windows control panel, or the VAICOM training function? Regarding this VAICOM training function, is there a way to reset the training, or to make training profiles? If one day I want to translate all keywords to switch language, how am I sure that previous training will not mess with the new language? Thanks!
  19. Hi, I just installed VoiceAttack and VAICOM for use in DCS. I'm not a native english speaker and my french accent is very noticeable, and quite variable in time (depending if I'm focused on it or not...) and I have found that some people have shared french mods for VAICOM. Here are my pros and cons of both options: A - Keep VAICOM in english Pros: Vanilla VAICOM, no dirty modding/tweaking/updating issues Cons: Speech recognition will be trained with a (fluctuating) accent B - Use french profiles/mods Pros: No issue with training and speech recognition Cons: the VAICOM profiles/mods are likely messy and poorly updated Do you have an experience with this? Thanks!
  20. Today, after a cruise at M2.2, I dived. At about M2.0 / 650kts during the dive, My airspeed (kts, HUD) was clearly increasing, while the chevrons were well under the speed vector. Is this an airspeed/ground speed effect (wind), or a bug? Thanks!
  21. Thanks! It works
  22. Okay, so I'm not the only one to stay on High PRF, and I'm not missing much. Thanks!
  23. Hi, The radar PRF mode is one of the controls I never use, I always stay in High PRF. What are your experience with this mode, and in which situations do you recommend the two other modes? Thanks!
  24. Hi, On the Syria Map, I tried to use the Damascus VOR frequency (116MHz) on the VOR/ILS, but nothing happened on the IDN, which has only NAV (INS) and TAC modes. How do I get the VOR bearing? Thanks!
  25. Hi, What is the current observed shipping delay? The VIRPIL shop says 10-14 days, do someone has a recent experience for base / grips ? Thanks!
