I believe the "Force INS alignment" is there exactly for that purpose, to force players doing an alignment. It was like that even before 2.7 AFAIK. It's off by default, maybe you could contact your server administrator to know why he wants to enforce this setting?

[RESOLVED] CCIP piper is too bright with NVG
Galinette replied to Major_Shepard's topic in Resolved Bugs
This was a hotfix for the 2.5.6, it's maybe incompatible Have you tried without on the 2.7? -
Ground strikes must be carefully prepared with the Mirage. INS update being at the heart of the process. That's a kneeboard page from my last large scale MP event where we had to strike at Batumi. The spot was perfect for update after crossing the whole map over the ocean. This was fun I hope they add BAP100 one day, it's the perfect duo with RD.

[NO BUG] Cannot input Initial Position on INS after DCS 2.7 update
Galinette replied to Figadas's topic in Resolved Bugs
Good question that should be asked to Dassault ! WP 0 is not really a waypoint, it has way less data. It's just a way to display your current position. -

[NO BUG] Cannot input Initial Position on INS after DCS 2.7 update
Galinette replied to Figadas's topic in Resolved Bugs
RTFP!!! The last big change on the PCN is with the BUT (waypoint) 00. Selecting BUT 00 in PREP mode displays the current aircraft’s coordinates, altitude and true heading but this BUT is read only and cannot be edited on the ground or in flight. This means that now in order to start the alignment process you have to select a BUT with your current coordinates and altitude set. The simplest solution for now is to use the BUT 20. -
[NO BUG] V/UHF radio menu not working on multiplayer
Galinette replied to zb2oby's topic in Resolved Bugs
On servers with easy comm, you need a different bind, which is the regular F12 menu afaik (I don’t use it so I am not sure) -
[PLANNED] FBW G-Limiter AA else CHARGES not working as expected
Galinette replied to =36=Witcher's topic in Bug Reports
If you look at the default.lua bind file, this bind is doing nothing else than moving the cockpit switch, to AA when the device sends a 1, to CHARGES when the device sends a 0. If you think you are sending quickly a 1 then a 0, and it doesn’t end up at CHARGES, that’s either because you are not sending what you think with TARGET, or because DCS or DirectX mess up the events, by filtering out the 0 or swapping them because they are simultaneous. You should check with a joystick event logging tool what TARGET is really sending. -

[RESOLVED] HUD - Horizon Secours During Cold Start
Galinette replied to Greedly's topic in Resolved Bugs
Also, you didn't uncage your ADI. And you likely didn't power it either. -
I believe that on the real jet, you can't even edit WP0. It's current INS position, read only. For the alignment process, you need to select another waypoint (not WP0), set its position, and start alignment. It was maybe a choice to enter alignment pos in WP0 in the DCS module, as WP1 is the bullseye on many servers. But, being able to edit WP0 outside of the alignment process is a bug. You can't correct position like this.

Yes, exactly the same for me. A lot of strain in FS2020

[RESOLVED] Exterior lights are crazy strong
Galinette replied to IRRE_Biluf's topic in Resolved Bugs
I'd say, position light are too strong, but NAV lights are not strong. Go look at a real aircraft with nav lights at 100m, they are crazy strong. These things are meant to be seen from 20nm And... for several months the mirage was almost invisible at night at close distance with all lights on high. This was way worse.. Hey IRL, your nav lights are WAY too bright -
Yes : Updated: ADI Cage/Uncage mechanism behavior
-
No, it's now uncaged as IRL. Click and keep mouse button pressed to hold pull the knob, and turn it CCW with mouse wheel to align it in the center. To recage, keep pulled, turn CW and move the needle past the upper position.
-
You can start your engine by setting it at IDLE + 1%. It will start and wheel chocks will not get removed.

Can the mission editor be extended by mods in such way? I'm not sure. Until then, you can use this: https://www.movable-type.co.uk/scripts/latlong.html

I don't understand, if you set 10 waypoints in ME you have them loaded right? The only thing that's not implemented in ME is BAD, you need to enter them in the cockpit. But BADs are much more easy to type in than full coordinates.
-
Is this possible with other Aircraft? You can't use BAD function on the INS for this?
-
Hi, The other day, on a busy server, I had these values. (Sorry for the low res, VR screenshots can't be better) What does these mean?

Hi, I'm adding a F10 menu item through missionCommands.addCommandForCoalition Is there any way to retrieve the group or client which triggered the menu item in the called function? Thanks!

When I have a radar+magic lock (triangle around target), the IFF "A" doesn't appear on the HUD. Is this a bug or a real behavior of the mirage? This makes identification after a merge super tricky in some situations, and you often can't fire your fox2 without a heavy risk of killing the wrong target.
