  1. Hi all, A few words about bomb release modes. MAIN -TACTICAL RELEASE- by button WEAPON RELEASE,all bombs are dropped in ARMED status.(always) EMERGENCY-by two buttons EMERGENCY RELEASE INNER and OUTER. There is a choice between ARMED or UNARMED by switch TACTICAL RELEASE.Red light is ON or OFF. EMERGENCY with no pilot input(no release button).This is fully auto-release . In case that load is dropped(electrical or mechanical failure),automaticaly is released load from second pylon in pair(1-2 or 3-4). This el. circuit is powered stright from EMER.RELEASE in breakers section. Very quickly for start,I will by proceed tomorow.
  2. Yes,this is non standart,unusual but not impossible.For training flight with bombing task,exist such mechanical thingy which can imitate second bomb in pair(1-2 or 3-4). Just now I have not much free time,but I try to explain something about bombing system as soon as possible.
  3. This is russian terminology-vneschnyi-external -vnutrennyi-internal So, it does not mean,that optical rangefinder is out of board of a/c. Or,you can try to ask somebody on russian forum for exactly explanation.
  4. At second. External-base optical range-finder or -vneschne-bazovoy optitcheskoy dalnomer-. When we have exactly set wingspan(on inner scale) and exactly framed target by rotation grip (MANUAL mode) we can read range on 400-2000 range scale. When a piper is off from some reason,we can read range on fix net.
  5. DV-30 and ZDV-30 do not belong to ASP set.DV-30 has only to provide baro- pressure for altitude computation unit which is a part of analog. computer. This unit(in ASP comp) has to convert physical pressure to electrical signal. ZDV-30 (potentiometr) can correct this signal. By this input we can fix a difference between baro-altitude of ground target and take-off airfield. This system is used only in GROUND mode.
  6. Probably is located in forward avionics bay.Altitude correction was adjusted before flight by ground personel,or by pilot.
  7. Altitude input is from DV-30 unit,which is connected to static pressure system and pitch angle(epsilon) input is from AGD-1. The DV-30 has el.correction unit ZDV-30,but I do not know, where is on BIS variant.On MF variant is located in cockpit.

  10. I'm not very sure ,but first true simulation bombing mode CCIP,CCRP had A-7D or E.
  11. Ooops attention-PBK-3 is a bombing sight from MiG-23BN and it belonging to sight complex SOKOL(FALCON)-23S, which was used on this fighter- bomber.The MiG-21BIS has not this systém.
  12. Yes.Only in GYRO mode.In SS mode mirror is mechanically caged in boresight line and gyroscope is disconect from power supply.
  13. Once more Harle,this is automatical way of dampering. When you have to set ASP in fix300m range mode (FIRE,GUN,MAN,GYRO, AIR)distance is set to MIN by rotation grip on throttle(below 600m)red light BREAK OFF is ON. When these conditions are fulfil a group of relay ensure: -disconnecting pwr. supply from damper.button on cntrl.stick -disconnecting pwr. supply from vert.computation coils(no need computing aiming angle) -connecting bigger pwr.supply to vert.compensation coils(dampering) -connecting bigger pwr.supply to horiz.compensation coils(dampering) -pwr.supply on horiz.computation coils will be responsible to lead angle whitch is computed in this time. -The piper never disapear from your angle of view up to 5-6g force load, because of difference between angle velocity of target and your Mig is very small.Practically you are seating on its tail
