When i launch 2.0, 1.5, or 1.5B it will open oculus home, and then stop loading DCS. I'm trying to download the steam version now... *edit* Steam didn't work either. The only way to use DCS is to disconnect the rift.

Just broke my track lip pro. Need comfort
jerda replied to bojangles_25's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The TIR reflector works better for me because I don't have to recharge my batteries or wear a power cord. I just tape them on top of my wireless headphones and i'm done. I used freetrack for years with the ps3 cam. I've made my own clips, bought, broke and repaired the Tir Clips. Now, instead, i'm using TIR5 with the reflector and have had much better results all around. Making your own clip is fun and cheap, but can be frustrating. -
Do you have any other usb game controllers plugged in? You might try unplugging everything not being used.. And/or double check your control settings to make sure no other device is using the roll axis. (maybe double check trim button too?) good luck.

Uhhh, the pledge drive is less than 3 hours away from being over. These extras amount to nothing anyway.

I wish it were setup so freetrack would move your head only and the mouse would move the gun.

I thought the 'p' word was for porn. What a disappointing thread. ;) Of course a patch is coming out soon, it's buggy. Moaning never motivates em, Whats done is done. On that note *bullwhip cracks* - Stop wasting time, back to work! :)

I have a midi controller and would like to control the lighting control panel in the A10. http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/BCR2000.aspx I have seen plenty of "joystick to midi" programs available, but never a "midi to joystick"... Any ideas?

That takes an ejection seat to a new level. You'd never need to get up! lol Good luck.

I decided to use what i have, so i took an old 15" sub and screwed to the back of my chair. It's powered by a bass guitar amp(mids and highs cut on the eq). Im using surround sound headphones that has an output that feeds into the bass amp. It really makes a huge difference with games, music, and movies. Im guessing my setup is louder than an actual butt kicker(which is probably not a good thing if someone is asleep in the other room at 3:00 AM :)

Those of you Using TrackIR and Headphones
jerda replied to Lonecrow66's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I used to use a multiple output pro audio sound board. It would have been possible to do what you asked. I used it along with a sidechain compressor that allowed the background sounds(jet engine/betty..) to get quieter as someone would speak on comms, then when they stop talking, the sound jet sounds gets to full loudness again.(similar to radio DJ's when they have music playing but can talk over it) It's a rather complicated setup for most. (i used the free software from www.reaper.fm to process it and a tascam board 8 outs) I think 636 Castle has it right. I dont know if those two will conflict with each other. -
I believe video has is the FC2 soundtrack playing? :) I thought i accidentally opened FC2 ....lol http://www.popularmechanics.com/home/improvement/electrical-plumbing/precision-magnetic-switches-invention

Problem with Warthog Throttle
jerda replied to Jg2001_Rasputin's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I thought my MFD went out today - but i had accidentally unplugged the cord :) When my throttle went out, i was maxed out on usb ports, running everything at the same time. I also had a hub running several ~5 things. I wonder if the load on the power supply caused a strong enough surge when the computer started to cause problems. -

My RMA'd WH throttle finally arrived today. I've never been so happy to see those green lights. The model number remained the same. I heard a squeak when i advanced the throttle all the way, but now it seems to have gone away. It was very quiet and if it happens again, it really wouldn't bother me. I'm as happy as a hog now. buh-dmp-dmp Anyhow, here's my timeline; 12-27-10 -The throttle went bad - this is where the calls and emails begin 12-31-10 - I shipped the throttle 1-7-11 -Canada receives my throttle 1-20-11 -They finally ship it back(after 2 weeks) 1-26-11 - back in business. I must admit i was using a non-powered usb extension (6 feet long). Now i've plugged it straight into my computer. Though I will not plug and unplug anything before i power on and off. I will try to return the button settings the same. Overall, this was a long and annoying process, but they(eventually) did take care of me. Best of luck to all with problems. I hope i don't have to post any bad news here ever again. -

Thats like saying, 'I smoke cigarettes and dont have cancer.' Just because it seems alright now, it doesn't mean somethings not gonna break later. Didn't you read the surgeon generals warning on the side of the WH box? ;) -

Yes, i shipped them the whole throttle. I think(hope) the email they sent was a carbon copy of what they send to everyone...maybe its a bad french translation?... or maybe i'm gonna get a box full of spare parts to look at? who knows? At this point i'd say anything is possible. -

I've finally got the email ; I hope they are just kidding -spare parts? Ha! Guess I'll find out in 5-10 more days. They did not mention anything about refunding my shipping. I'm so tired of calling them, i dont know if its worth losing my sanity.
