ANSWER FROM TM REGARDING WT THROTTLE PROBLEM
jerda replied to Funkyjazz's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
It took me about 1 week to wrench the RMA # from them.(many emails and calls) It took another 1 week for my throttle to be shipped up there. It took another 1 week of waiting with no reply(then i called to see whats up, only to be told i will get a call back- still waiting for that) So, today is the beginning of week 4. Looks like im gonna have to call again to resort things out again. At the very least, i've lost a month and gained an extra shipping charge. This really makes me disappointed. My work would never allow this kind of pseudo customer service policy. -
ANSWER FROM TM REGARDING WT THROTTLE PROBLEM
jerda replied to Funkyjazz's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
That is probably what they told the customer service reps to say. 'Its an umm err umm oh, a 'firmware problem', yeah thats it. whats worse, to be lied to or to be ignored? Week 3 has begun, waiting for my rma throttle to return. TM canada has been sitting on my old unit for a full week now. No emails, No shipping info,Not anything. They wont even return my email. They previously said they'd ship "as soon as the throttle is received", I'm getting a bad feeling. You have 3 choices, find another hotas, wait for a real fix, or take a chance of major frustration. Is that why TM doesn't have a forum? -
Problem with Warthog Throttle
jerda replied to Jg2001_Rasputin's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
1.) I have my computer plugged into a furman strip, on a dedicated grounded circuit - That wasn't the problem. I've never had any other piece of equipment go out. 2.) I was using a 6' non powered usb extension on throttle and stick.(because i read that hubs were the cause of the problem.) 3.) I leave it plugged in at all times. (too ridiculous to have to unplug it) 4.) "TM cant ignore your dead Throttle unit." -No, but they sure dont try to expedite the process. 2 weeks ago the throttle was dead, now im still waiting for them to ship the new one(they already have mine). -

TM WH Throttle - Totally Dead
jerda replied to Flamin_Squirrel's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
when they said 'rare' - i think they meant the throttle was 'Cooked just a short time so as to retain juice and redness' - secretly meaning that they did not cook it long enough... just a theory. -
Problem with Warthog Throttle
jerda replied to Jg2001_Rasputin's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The fact is that mine broke, so could yours. I'm out for a few weeks due to their problems. TM is sending me a 'new' one. How long it will last until it breaks again? I wonder how many people with dead throttles would recommend a friend to buy one? Here's my TM support complaint; Too Slow. It took them 1 week of pointless emails and phone calls, everyday, before they would give me an rma #. Seems like it all could have easily been sorted out in a day. (tho they did seem to be busy, hmm, with warthog customers?) One of the girls said, "It must be nice, everyone over there is playing with their new 'toys' for christmas. - I laughed to myself, wondering what most of you guys would have said to that! :) TOYS? -

Good luck with tech support. Im getting the run-around with TM. I'm still waiting on them to let me ship it out. You may have better luck if you get some lights to come on. That part sounds promising. They may actually be able to help you. -
Its funny to see someone else use the nostromo n52! I've gotten alot of use out of it with DCSa10.

Problem with Warthog Throttle
jerda replied to Jg2001_Rasputin's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
My throttle seems to be bricked. I have already updated the firmware on it a while ago. I have not removed of the usb cords. It worked fine last night. I rebooted today and no lights - just a brick. sad. -
It's so much more than a digital mistress. That just sounds so cheap and quick. It's more like a digital wife. yep.

Ok its a 'simulation' in the form of a 'game'. It has the option to be 'played' as a 'game'. This topic always makes me laugh.

Thanks! nice work. This would be perfect on a tablet. Maybe next year... This app has a check list that you can tic off when done. also has additional text info for some steps.

Multi-monitor set-up guide & help (unofficial)
jerda replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
try making the names the same, i see "mfcd" on one, and "Camera+MFD" on the other. I think those should be the same. right? ["multiMonitorSetup"] = "Camera+MFD", and name = _('MFCD');
