Well actually an ex-29 pilot said (since the MiG has been withdrawn from HuAF...): This 29 really close to near, but the real still turns and accelerates better. BTW i think you think about Krieger's mod. Or not? :) Yes its totally true! Thats what i said before :)

Yes, and that envelope is the altitude. The MiG can turn better than (with the normal engine power) F-18C below 8-9000 meters. Above its engines give less power and the F-16 also turns better.

The MiG-29A was planned to take-off - defeat enemy planes around the base - land. Well if somebody use it with this configuration, thats the deadliest combo :) In lockon its give back great, as we experienced in the CI day 1.

Well the 29 is exactly exist for turn fight. In FC2 also, and if its get closer than 10 miles, every other plane is in a huge problem. But i agree, dont get into a turn fight with the 33.

I say 1 turn will never be decided and if so, also the 29 can turn faster. "What you read in the plane's manual is pretty much always right" --> NO! But its a fruitless debate. I just know, what i write. Thats all, its the last from me.

Thats not right. In 2000 here was an exercise between the 29 and F-18. The 18 has 2 powerful engine same as the MiG, but if you pull the stick its speed reduce very fast, like you crash into the wall with a car. (Dont forget: What you read in the plane's manual, thats not always right :))

Well in the 29 series the 9.12 has the most maneuverability. The German MiGs has reduced engine to have more life-time. Against F-16Cs they still won without loss in close air combat, but not against the swiss hornets. (Both exercises were in the middle of 90s).

Well than the 29s shot down reduce from about 30 to 15 :D

Thats why 9.12 of MiG-29 is a good choice. Almost out of service from everywhere. There are only some country what use the original basic version.

The C version has only ECM and larger range with the more fuel... Nothing is better.
