  1. In Serbia 1999 the hit rate of amraam was 12:1 so he may be right and as i know serbian pilots didnt use chaffs (they were trying to get close enough to dogfight so only took some flare). Only thing they did was 2 9g turns for 7-8 seconds.(In game even a 9g is hard to achieve...) Also their SPO-15 most of the time were inactive (inoperable). They could see the missiles visually mainly at night. And Exorcet is 100% right!
  2. But we have the relfex to turn away when he launched :D
  3. Su-25T/A has also AFM not just SFM with good ground handling.
  4. Thats not the 9.12, that has newer radar, what you were trying to say is the nullseries 29. That has the same radar as the 23MLD only because the factory werent ready with their new radar..
  5. This list also doesnt show the improved land/take-off physics and the improved flight models or just mistyped at the imroved flight manual part (i hope... :D )
  6. Can you upload the MiG's? I would compare with mine...
  7. Shortly: maybe in the future...
  8. :D "In latest test build I can still kill F-15 and F-16 armed with AIM-120 while flying the MiG-29A armed with R-27R & R-73.. it's not that hard at all so really, should keep in mind things are being changed and tweaked... hopefully for the better... so lets keep the arguments low " In DCS to outturn a missile is very easy right now and from a BVR fight you are just some seconds to be in close air combat. In FC2 it was a hazard game. 29A will have a better evaluate.
  9. KOLS is NOT gyro stabilized. It will show directly where the plane nose points.
  10. My bad: "The MiG-29SMTs are able to show TAS, older versions arent." This is the true statement.
  11. German MiG-29s are other topic. After their modernization they had other radios, on their HUD were shown the frequencies and a lot of changes include the IAS on the left top corner of the HUD in knots not in km/h and altitude in feet instead of meters on the right top corner..
  12. The MiG-29SMTs are able to show IAS, older versions arent.
  13. Those holes can store 1 chaff or 1 flare. You can put 60 flare and 0 chaff 59 flares and 1 chaff 58 flares and 2 chaffs... etc. And mechanists can set up the sequence to how to deploy them (1-2-3-...-60 at once and they will always deploy from the top of the rack)
  14. You may right about it, but the 9.12 is rarely equipped with this loadout and as i know only the russian and german (now polish) 29s were able to carry them. And the germans had the same fuel indicator as the hungarian and ours werent able to carry wingtanks.
  15. "In the MIG29 images below (of MFD serving as a HUD repeater) the left MFD is I think showing the Radar Acquisition Cursor The right MFD is showing the EOS Acquisition cursour ?" Will ask some pilot later, but i guess its right.
  16. Almost forgot. These types of MiG-29s will not show anything like that on HDD since thats a HUD repeater. Dont know about Su-27 and 33, as i know the Su-27S had the new HDD function we have in FC series, below that version that was also a HUD repeater.
  17. Yeah its offtopic (its a real HUD) BTW Kuky im not sure, but i guess 27SM
  18. 68 is not correct (Flaps never move automatically on MiG-29); link: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1601903#post1601903 ->2nd paragraph 69 not only MiG-29
  19. Depends on the pilot. Not everyone is the same...
  20. The planes we have in FC series (29A aka 9.12 29S - 9.13 and the Sukhoi) can only show the same on the HDD. Doenst matter the mode you are in (if i remember correctly)
  21. Now there is a version with english subtitles.
  22. I think it's because of the extended fire on the tail side, but i still thinks the blades burst in the combustion chamber. But you are right, the fuel was burning :D
  23. Those flames in the engine looks very similar to this one...
  24. Actually the pilot (Milenko Pavlovic as i know) was just practising the manouvers for an airshow (maybe '97 or '98 in Serbia). It was only a test flight.
  25. Thanks Soviet the invitation! We are sure in!
