  1. it happens even with another (non liberation) mission, caucasus map. I downgraded to DCS 2.9.1.48335 Open Beta and the missions where I had the crash now work ok. So I am assuming something got broken in the last 2 OBs?
  2. Hi there I have continuos crashes with a Syria mission in VR. This is a Liberation mission. It all worked fine until I updated to 2.9.2.49629 (and the one after has this issue too). This is the relevant except from the log. I don't think this is covered in Chappie's guide.   3. Hi there does anybody know if it's possible to join a multiplayer session where 2 users, one with the standalone version and one on the Steam version, fly the same F-15E, one as pilot and one as WSO? Asking as I'm planning to do this with a friend and we're unsure this would work.
  4. solved by using openXR tookit. Once I installed that, I can have MR always on even with MT and DCS is using openXR (native).
  5. For those of you who can't use motion reprojection always on with native openXR (else the UI freezes), I had the same issue (reverb G2) even with the latest patch. The only fix for me was to replace the openvr_api.dll in the bin with that from opencomposite. Not anymore: I turned on openXR toolkit and I now can have motion reprojection always on with the native openXR. Just in case it helps anyone else.
  6. I have a reverb G2 and I have to have motion reprojection always on. With single thread I can have that if openvr_api.dll in the bin folder is replaced with that from opencomposite (file size is 1800kb vs 600kb), otherwise the program freezes as soon as it loads. Now with MT if I replace openvr_api.dll in the bin-mt folder with that from opencomposite I still get the same issue of the program freezing. The issue goes away if motion reprojection is set to automatic, but it just stutters too much. In fact it looks like DCS just ignores the openvr_api.dll in the bin-mt folder, I can tell because the 4 spheres appear during loading and this does not happens when using opencomposite's openvr_api.dll Does anyone have any workaround to force DCS to use opencomposite's openvr_api.dll with MT?
  7. was using custom labels (labels.lua in saved game folder). once labels_format_version was set to 2 instead of 1 the problem went away. Just in case someone has the same issue
  8. I have the same issue. I have a custom VR scene with no hangar and an F16,F18 and F14. I can just make out the outline of the F18 as it's all so dark, unless I stare right into the sun. This happens only with MT.
  9. Hi, I just updated to the latest OB and I now get the weird artifacts shown in the attached image when using VR. They only show up on the left eye, on the caucasus map and they appear/disappear depending on where you look. It happens even in the quick start free flight mission (F16). I tried native openXR, and opencomposite openXR - same issue I played yesterday with the previous OB and it was fine. I have a reverb G2, 3090, latest Nvidia drivers, win 11, 64Gb ram, i9 10920x, 2Tb M2 storage Any idea what's causing this?
  10. Just installed latest patch, still freezes as soon as I enter the menu in VR (Reverb G2) with reprojection always on (work when set to auto). Also when loading missions or the menu, a black screen appears. It's not as annoying as the epylepsy-generating flickering you get with stem VR, but... So far this is a step back compared to opencomposite
  11. Thanks, that's useful to know. However I still don't understand how's it possible that setOrient(-10,-90,0) produces the the same result as setOrient(0,-90,-10). Any ideas?
  12. can someone please enlighten me on how transform:setOrient(i,j,k) is supposed to work?? I have a custom VR garage with an F14 at the back, set at 90deg to me (so parallel to the menu screen). However for the wheels to touch the ground the plane needs to be angled down a bit. If I use transform:setOrient(-10,-90,0) I get EXACTLY the same configuration as transform:setOrient(0,-90,-10), where the plane leans on its side. I couldn't also get transform:rotate to work. I don't want to play with extending the shock absorbers, they should be in the parking position Any idea? Thanks
  13. I used to have a Rift S and I never had to restart DCS after every mission. But I have to do that with the G2 and opencomposite. It sounds like a memory leak somewhere, but am not really sure it's just DCS.

  15. Hi thank you all for the comments and instructions, I have recently updated from a Rift S to a G2 and OpenXR has definitely made a positive difference compared to using SteamVR. So much so that before this I was kinda missing the smoothness that MR (ASW) gave me in the Rift S. Also the strobo effect with SteamVR when loading missions was just doing my head in and had resorted to closing my eyes to avoid looking - thankfully this is gone with OpenXR. I have one issue though that I don't think anybody reported: I run an SP mission, go back to the main menu, then start another mission and the FPS is suddendly very bad - like 7-8 - with no recovery. If I exit the game completely and reload it then fps go back to normal. I have reproduced this several times. Any idea what may be causing this?
  16. The NVG have become weird after the latest update on my Oculus Rift S. Whereas before the green circle only occupied a bit of the field of view, and it looked like part of a spherical lens, now it is massive and it looks like a flat disc. See attached image. On a flat screen it look ok. Any idea what's going on? Thanks

Hey Lace I played all the missions and I thought I'd post some feedback: I really liked the ambience - it does feel like being in the Nordics in the middle of winter! there is a RNoAF skin (nato 50 year anniversary) available - maybe that could be use for immersion (better than flying with USAF markings ) in most missions Kobuleti doesn't have any stock of the flavour of AIM-9 selected for loadout. So to avoid taking off empty either you have to change the missile type of add store to Kobuleti. I would say that triggers and mission objectives could be improved. In many missions (3-6 iirc) the objectives don't make sense (as in what you need to do for the mission to be successful), and there are no triggers to let the player know if it's time to RTB when the objectives have been reached. Liked the surprises in some of the missions. If the triggers/objectives can be fixed this could easily become a nice campaign. Thanks for sharing the missions!

  19. It's ok. "Afghan bear trap - Viper" works OK at my end with 2.7.6 and the latest released version of the NG scripts. I can generate the 1st mission OK and am halfway through. Note that I did have to update it to make it work. But this doesn't mean that I've updated it 100% correctly (as the error I was getting shows). Once I've finished it I'll make it public through Eagle01

  21. ...it used to in the previous stable release. Did anybody try with the latest stable (2.7.6.13436) ? I had maybe 80-90% accuracy with CCIP before, just tried again and it fell to 10%? I swear I am not drunk
  22. it's the afghan bear trap - Viper, by Eagle01. I updated it to the NG script as I think it's an awesome campaign (once I'm done playing it I'll ask Eagle01 to share it of course - just wanted to make sure it works). It all worked ok until I updated the scripts to 20.47.132 yesterday. I'll let you know if the latest version of ATO_Threat... fixes the problem. The file you attached has the same issue I also tested the bit that sets the target and landing waypoint elevation to 0 and it works (I only copied the relevant snippet of code into the current version of the scripts, rather than using the whole file you shared).   23. I may have found an issue with the latest version of the scripts. I upgraded mid way through a campaign, and at the end of a mission I got this error when generating the next one : I then compared the only previous version of the script I had in my backup and ended up commenting out all the lines [call] = true in the AddEWR function. I was then able to generate the next mission correctly. Is this expected?
  24. thanks @Miguel21, I'll try and let you know. I found an issue with the "campaign end" mission. I just updated to 2.7.6.13436 and noticed that in DCS you can show the campaign mission details. The problem is that if you click on "show" for campaigns that are ended, DCS freezes and you have to kill it from task manager. I discovered that the issue comes from the fact that the _ongoing.miz mission after the campaign has ended is empty. I opened one of the ended ones, added a ramdom plane, saved and then DCS wouldn't crash anymore. Don't know why at campaign end all of the units are removed, but I suppose that if in DC_EndCampaign.lua the "remove units" section is disabled the problem would be solved.
  25. If you can give me a pointer as to how to get the player flight I can have a go at making the change myself if you're happy with that (and share it of course). For landing it's more like a nice to have, so never mind
