Udate Just a quick update - if anyone is interested. Just built the instrument panel from MDF, plastic and perspex. Going to add screws to the bezils and mount the monitor. Have a lot of work to do with the rudder and base. So I'll do a drawing - maybe someone with some experience can help... anyway - will post soon... here is the panel.

But still Gadroc, people were buying. Where do I donate?
-
Blimey - well I will donate (why did they do that I wonder?) What about the gauge packs i.e. A10C does it come with... I only saw one link?

i want to buy Helios.... Does anyone know where the SC simulation store has gone. It is not on their site anymore and no information as to where it is or how the hell you can buy Helios.... Is that just plain stupid or what?

Hi, Does any one know if the RWR for the A10 is working yet in Helios? Thanks :)

WIP Still loads to do, but doesn't look too bad! (I think) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=70880

I used this guide... http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=60815 Or there is a guy on the forum called 'Airdog' he was very helpful.

I use the MFD extraction lua. It's quite easy once you get the hang of it. I also got rid of my old GTX 280 and bought an Msi GTX 470 Twin Frozr. Really nice card, very easy to overclock, so no performance hit. I have to polish up the screen as it was fairly scratched. I used T-cut. It works well. My main screen (view) just fits inside the canopy dimensions - so I can see the whole monitor. It will be mounted on the nose right in front of the canopy.

Hi, My gliding club was going to dump/ burn this old K6-E aicraft because it was too expensive to re-build. So I thought it could be put to good use and turn it into an A10C (simplified) pit. Here are some pics of my progress. I had to extend my WH stick by 4" which worked quite well. I am working on the canopy at the moment having cut it down because of some damage. Hopefully I will have it finished by the end of the summer. Let me know what you think!!..........

Hi, Just wanted some advice really. I have had TIR 5 now for about a year. Fantastic piece of kit! However I wanted to get some decent headphones because I am going to fit a BK gamer 2 to my pit. My problem is twofold. First I would like a good set of headphones for under £50/ $70 with a standard jack (NOT usb) I also need to be able to fit my TIR to it (so the headband can't be too thick). Does anyone have any ideas/ advice? Thanks :)

Thats okay.... all the other posts I read about exporting MFCD's said it couldn't be done in full screen.

Yeah, I'm running a GTX 280 and still got quite a bit of stuttering. I'm going to buy a GTX 470 next month and sell the 280 on ebay

Hi Livebait, I had the same problem when I tried to adjust the res, so went back to the original 1920x1980. BTW what graphics card are you using? I was thinking about upgrading mine.

Thanks Guys - It worked! Took me a bit of time changing the settings so they were where I wanted them.. but looked great and worked fine. I'll paste my final file when I get home. Next... Helios!

Hi Talisman, Nice set up - how did you cover your monitor (instrument panel) as i would like to do the same thing... looks really good! What did you make your cover from (I was going to use, very thin sheet of wood - With perspex on the back to fit the actual screen size... then cover with aluminium sheet) Cut the holes in line with displays like you have.. Thanks

This should have read - about $75

Thank you.... I eventually sorted it... Works really well. Made a few changes so that the MFCD output lined up with my Couger MFD's. BTW I did notice a drop in FPS but wil try changing height size in resolution. I only have a GTX 280 - I saw one going for £50 on ebay, so I may get that and try SLI - do you think that would help?

HI, I've been following Airdog's instructions for setting up my MFD's. I've changed my Lua file in the Multimonitor folder and the options lua. When I enter the sim and go to the options page my file isn't showing on the monitor dropdown list and I don't know why. Does anyone have any ideas? I thought maybe i had placed the file in the wrong place (and the location of the options lua). Does anyone know the correct location of both these files? Thanks :)

People Using TMWH that never bellyed...

Asus Rampage 2 extreme - no problems as yet but have only tried the WH for a week as I am still building my pit! -
Thanks Airdog. I'm still slightly confused. I took your original code (where you only had the two MFD's - looked like on a laptop, below your main). You described exactly how i want to do it.. i.e. with the small sceen centered under the main... Which was why I thought if I could work out your co-ords - I could then work out mine. I am also going to use Helios but not with as many instruments as you are showing. Anyway - I'll try what you suggested ov er the weekend and post the results.. thanks for your help :)
-
Thanks Kuky, I'll give it a go this weekend...
-
I'm going to set them top left and top right of the smaller monitor.

Hi, If anyone can help that will be great but I am trying to work out in particular Airdog's MFD set up. I have a main monitor running at 1920x1080 res and a 17" widescreen below at 1440x900 Airdog had the exact same setup (well the resolutions were - 1920x1200 Main - 1366x768 below) The resolutions are different but the screens are in the same position as mine are. Here is his Lua file........ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('mmbetamfd'); Description = 'Two Monitor Config' Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 1920; height = 1200; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 1.6; } } LEFT_MFCD = { x = 328; y = 1253; width = 360; height = 360; } RIGHT_MFCD = { x = 1232; y = 1253; width = 360; height = 360; } I have been using this as an example file and trying to change the x and y co-ords (I will use the same width and height) with no luck. Spent a lot of time trying to work out where Airdog got his left x co-ord from.... Can any one help me work this out based on my screen resolutions? Thanks

Thank you !! :)
