  1. I'm sad to read this but I understand and respect your decision. This server was my introduction to DCS, thanks to the very dedicated and friendly playerbase I was able to learn a lot and I honestly wouldn't have become such a sim addict without it. It wasn't easy to start on this server for a new player like me but having to learn how to navigate, stay hidden, fight and play as a team was the complete package no other server could offer. The time and effort you put in the missions and scenarios will always impress me and I'll miss the intensive fights both in the air and on the ground it provided. I haven't been able to play for some time due to me moving an ocean away from home but I truly hope to hear from you and the Alpen's CW chads. Thank you Alpen, take care !

  4. Mission Behind Enemy Lines is bugged rn, none of the Blue units spawned and Red EWR is not working. We're trying to rotate quickly It must be related to the ED servers update, hopefully it will run fine next rotation. If you see this in the next few minutes @Alpenwolfwe'd appreciate a mission rotation Also, the briefing says 2 different things about the rotation :

  6. Ok ! I reinstalled the Samsung Nvme driver (mine was already up to date) I also disabled Razer Cortex last night and didn't have any issues. I didn't play for very long though so not 100% sure it's the culprit. I'll try the rest of your suggestions and if everything runs smoothly I'll do some tests to pinpoint if Razer Cortex can be a culprit. Razer Synapse already being a problem I wouldn't be surprised.
  7. @Alpenwolf I didn't get to play a lot of Last Man Standing tonight (DCS decided to crash a lot this week) but it was a lot of fun. Tried a few rocket runs with F86, F5 and Viggen and got shredded by those WW2 AAA guys in all 3 tries (same in Mountain Peaks) I may be really bad but it was impossible to be in launch parameters without being sniped. If you don't intend to tone down their skill i'd gladly appreciate some advice ! The only bug I could find for Blue was the Gazelle M variant Hot3 missiles missing from both airfields. EDIT : this Hot3 missile thing must be dur to the new rotation glitch, we'll see on the next one
  8. Dude, tell you're kidding. Please. Going down that road litterally means taking out : - the Gazelle because of its UFO flight model - the mig21 because somehow AIM9 tracks better when its AB is off - the mi24 because Petrovitch is an all-seeing god and you need a nuke to kill the thing etc. I won't comment on ban policy or its fairness but as far as I understand it, it usually doesn't happen for an innocent first offence. If players take all aspect missiles just because some bug or a mission editor oversight allowed them at a warehouse, it's on everyone to play fair and not take them, same thing for everything else (Viggen speed included) All the usual players on this server know the rules (rear aspect missiles only,...) don't reverse the roles here.
  9. No joy I just had a crash on Marianna in MP again. Same symptoms (no CTD, DCS freezes). I redid a DxDiag (in case it's useful, I'm not sure) and the log file.   10. My DCS is installed on a Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus, which is a NVMe M.2. I'll try what you suggested with Synapse. I'm also using Razer Cortex to free a little bit of CPU and RAM usage, I'll try and disable it as well if that doesn't work. Many thanks, I'll keep you posted !

  12. Hello, I sometimes get random crashes where DCS stops responding but doesn't CTD. I can still hear RWR and engine sounds but the image freezes and task manager shows "no response" from DCS so I have to force quit. I cannot find out what's causing it.   14. Bought the Mig 19 a while ago and the ground crew => repair option doesn't work in multiplayer or singleplayer. Ground crew will acknowledge the repair command saying "copy" but nothing happens. I'm on open beta, no mods. repair test Mig19.trk

  16. Cries in Gazelle M You make a good point, but Mi8 dropping troops is a perfect counter to that tactic. Plus, in classic CA fashion their aim is godlike and can take down a Gazelle in a few shots or even a huey if unaware. Even though it's entirely possible for a Huey or Mi8 to spam AA units near the farp (which can be really annoying I concur) I'm pretty sure a couple uncontested Mi24, if not a single one, would obliterate the Farp in one sortie if the anti-air deployment wasn't there. I'd say it's a non issue when there is enough teamwork but can be a nightmare flying solo, which pretty much sums up the whole pvp experience imo. I actually find the fact that a single Stinger or Igla dude can contest the capture more annoying, they sometimes don't appear on the map when using tactical commander or jtac slot and it can take a long time to find that single fucker, especially with the pathfinding being totally borked right now. But I think that the current state of CA won't make this fact change anytime soon. I also believe Hueys aren't able to load troops anymore for some reason. In a perfect world, I'd rather have capture conditions be : 1) all hard units (tanks, apc, bmp, AAA,...) destroyed and 2) if team A remaining units or infantry in the area are in greater numbers than team B, then A captures.
  17. Good suggestion, maybe a limited number of units deployed at the same time (like Hawk and SA6 on most missions) would do the trick ? Getting chain killed with a jtac loaded in the back on Street Fight, which are very limited in that mission, gave me ptsd
  18. I re-read the briefing before posting and I didn't find this quite clear (maybe it's on my end though) You're right @NELLUS, AJS as a striker needs self defense. We'll continue to try and tell people carrying 6xrb24Js that CAP isn't the Viggen main role on the server. I know most usual Viggen fliers respect that but I've had at least two instances these past few days with guys loading 24Js up the wazoo and not really giving a F*** when told that numbers are very limited while GCI is desperately trying to find strikers to complete objectives (and I've play red a lot more this week !) Hopefully most will play fair but I'm a bit skeptical given past experiences. @Alpenwolf I understand you're doing what you can and we're all thankful for it ! How do you feel about that tactical commander slot in Phone Booth ? I'm guessing you didn't put one because it would make things too easy to capture an airfield with 1 or 2 bradleys/bmps without even driving them ? If that's the case let's just wait for an update so our EWRs work again without human intervention.
  19. @Alpenwolf Could you replace one of the jtac slots with a tac commander one in Phone Booth ? (Since EWR's and ground units need to be activated now and only tac comm slot allows that) I hope ED will fix this, it really is making chopper life frustrating. Also, this mission ended today with a win for red side while blue still had Nalchik. Red destroyed the blue incoming vehicle group to Beslan while blue didn't finish theirs. What are the parameters to win this mission exactly ? (I always thought it was holding both airfields) On a side note there are still people flying CAP Viggen with 6 Rb24Js, I wish there was a way to lock loadouts at 2 maximum
  20. TY, I was flying solo. Last time I tried the multicrew with the Gazelle was more than a year ago and it didn't work very well (lots of desync issues) maybe I should try again, it may have improved. This particular Mi-24 was busy attacking Al-Bateen on the Once Upon A Time In Abu Dhabi mission so I think he was flying high to spot targets for ATGMs and had tunnel vision so I managed to sneak those shots. It's a mighty weapon to clean an objective. On a side note, my gazelle was reduced to dust a short while later by a sniper shot from an AI BMP gun. This thing is really fragile, I miss the 24 in those cases

  22. THIS ! I'd love to be able to draw a flight plan from scratch exactly like the F10 map marks with the Viggen and not only in mission editor. I really hope such a thing will be implemented
