  1. I've flown a couple of your missions, Zoomboy. Good missions. However, your work isn't recognized by LOMAN. Is there some way you could make them LOMAN compatible? Would make it easier for us to use them. But, in any case, thanks and keep up the good work. -xylem
  2. I don't use a sig, yamangman. What I posted, in this instance only, was my system specs, as you know. Since I don't have any problems with MS Library files, and yet have SP2, I thought it might be useful for someone more computer savvy than me. If you are concerned about the use of forum space then perhaps you might consider avoiding seemingly arrogant challenges, so that others would not be compelled to reply. Thanks...
  3. Thanks a million, cosmonaut ; that did the trick ! And, BTW, if you don't stop doing that with your head, you're going to need a chiropractor :P
  4. I have WinXP (SP2) and have never had a problem from day one. Go figure. 5. OK, I played the entire SU-25 strock campaign (v102). After each mission that mission was lockked so that I could not fly it again. When I finished the campaign the entire thing is locked so that I can't fly it again. The "fly" button is greyed out and doesn't work; ditto the "calssify" and "declassify" options in the drop down menu - they don't work. I never get the chance to enter the password to declassify (I assume it's 'Eagle'). Is there no way to declassify a campaign so it can be flown again? Is there a way to separate out the missions? I've seen some discussion at SimHQ but nothing suggested seems tto work. It would be a terrible waste not to be able to fly these again. Any ideas ? :?:
  6. Well, cool ! Thanks for the info..... :)
  7. Thanks for the replies guys. Yes, I agree it's a great community and very helpful. GGTharos; thanks for the good word; glad to know there's going to be a bettrer manual :D I wonder how you know this. I did several searches and couldn't find anything about it. Do you, by any chance, have a link where this is discussed? And will it be a readme or Acrobat? Included in the D/L or posted somewhere?
  8. When Lomac came out I was new to flight sims. And it is so beautiful that it has captivated me. But since that time I have been stumbling through a morass of confusion trying to learn the game (sim). One of the greatest difficulties I've had with LOMAC since it came out was finding documentation that was sufficiently thorough that it would allow me to learn the sim. It's been a steep learning curve which I don't mind, generally. But some information seems to be absent in the manual, and some is scattered about in various fora and private sites. It is exhausting to search it out. This one factor could spell difficulty for developers. I am just wondering, then, if v1.1 will come with a new manual? Or some sort of expansion of the old one? Thanks....
  9. I guess, Wags, that you are confirming that it is in a burnable format. Then it's D/L for me. A couple of questions: Can you estimate what the size of the D/L will be? And, what is the reason that some are opposed to PayPal? The only complaints I've heard about are from vendors who have their payments held up, not from buyers. What's the story? Looking forward to FC..... :D
  10. ,Hi folks, I would like to bring attention to a problem I'm having to see if anyone has any insight into it. I registered on this site some time ago. But just recently I have started to get a small flood of strange mail. Some email is blank (the message eradicated), with just a date to show something was sent. It has been stopped by my ISP with the following notice to me: Received: from webmaster (67-42-25-24.slkc.qwest.net[67.42.25.24](untrusted sender)) And today I got a notice that some email sent using my email addie (the one I registered on this site with) was returned as undeliverable. These were sent to : shadow@master-it,ru ,and shadow@leontief.ru. The messages themselves appear to be gibberish. But, I did not send these, and do not know the recipients. These were returned to me, but many more were probably sent to people using my name. I am a die-hard LOMAC fan, but am a little concerned about this site and it's security. Does anyone know anything about this? Is this happening to anyone else? Any advice on what I should do? Thanks all... Xylem BTW in case it's relevant; I use Antivirus, Firewall, and Spybot programs.
  11. The inadequate wingman AI has been discussed ad naseum on the UBI forum. It was covered months ago; wingies do stupid things, and often don't do as they are ordered. Hopefully it will be addressed sometime, but I have seen no assurances that it will be fixed. Sorry. EDIT: I overlooked this statement by Shepski : "The AI was worked on a lot and is much improved... wingmen are now much more effective and will also have a better chance at survival for example."
  12. Absolutley right, DarkStar. Thanks. Don't know why I didn't realize that since I used FBP so frequently for the A-10A in the past. Thanks for the replies, guys.
  13. Hi folks, I took a short recess to try out Pacific Fighters. It has underscored the realization that LOMAC is, far and away, the absolute best flight sim around. So anyway, I returned and decided to bring myself back up to speed on the SU-25 since it seems it will be the important element in v1.1. I went to the FBP to try out some situations in the SU-25. I was surprised to discover that the Frogfoot is NOT available in the FBP. Can this be true?? Is there a chance that it will be made available in the upgrade? -xylem
