"- Place EXE in a Folder (X:/<>/DCS Updater Utility/), Do Not Place in your /DCS World/ Folder." this is unclear to me, i can't get the updater to work. Where should i put the EXE? I keep getting the error "DCS_updater.exe is missing or corrupted", i just want to do a clean. NVM; i'm on steam edition, maybe write in the intro that it won't work for Steam. would have saved me a lot of time.

So i did clean DCS before trying the first time, then i got horrible performance. As i say, i followed every step in the first post. I just want to revert to how it was, since i had pretty smooth gameplay for hours.

Don't really know if the FPS went up, but the game now always starts stuttering after a couple of minutes playing, and glancing left or right now is horrible (i can see everything double while moving my line of sight fast). Before installing OXR I've never had that problem. As you say, I read most people do get better performance with OXR, so must be something on my end I suppose. I don't got any mods installed apart from kneeboards, those should be fine right?

How do I revert this? Just uninstal Open composite and OpenXR? I get worse performance in game (menu's are beter) while using OpenXR with the same graphical settings, going from smooth in vanilla DCS to a slideshow after (exactly) following the first post.

hallo, ik ben nieuw in de flightsim wereld, heb nog maar 2 modules in bezit (BF109 en de Viper) maar nog geen maps, welke map vliegen jullie het meest?

Hello, I'm a complete noob to flight sims, i got MSFS2020 for free, so thats how i rolled in, bought me a simple Hotas (T16000M). Then I discovered DCS, and oh boy, i became completely addicted, always had great interest in WW2 in general (living in Belgium is a gift regarding that interest) and especially the warbirds. First modue i bought about a month ago was the BF109, had no idea what i was getting into, such a hard plane to handle, but on the upside, the systems are simple. Watched alot of BFM tutorials on youtube to get some base idea of how to fly and not just die every time i've encountered a bandit. Last week i bougt my second module, the F16 Viper, what a beast, complicated, but so nice. I found the learning curve verry steep (again, i'm a complete aviation noob) but thanks to the Grim Reapers tutorials i'm starting to understand the basic systems. I'm now able to use the radar and weaponsystems in a basic way, but i'll need ALOT more time to master them and familiarize with the plane. Anyway, i'm truely enjoying the learning proces and the game at whole. Now i would like to buy a map, but i really don't know witch one to buy first, any suggestions? (to be honnest, i enjoy the Viper more than the BF)
