Hi, yes already tried that, tried again but no difference. I am certain it's the headset. Bryan.

HP have agreed to ship a new G2 but it's on backorder, I'm in the UK so not surprised. As to whether it was the lenses I can't say, but my Wife tried the headset on and could see the same problem with blurred/flickering terrain so it's certainly not my eyes. Strange thing is HP asked for a camera shot through the lenses but try a I might I could not get the phone positioned in such a way to get any kind of image in the photo. Weird but it seemed as though the lenses were misaligned in some way, how people get those through the lenses videos beats me. Bryan.

Yeah, it's defiantly running at 90hz, at least that's what it's set for. It's like a blurry filter has been placed over the scenery and no amount of playing around with the settings will remove it. I think the lenses are possibly defective, will speak to HP support and they can damm well troubleshoot it! Bryan.

Taking info from various forums including this one I have tried numerous different settings but at best the problem is at best slightly improved, but it makes me feel sick looking at the view outside, so much so that I have decided to return the G2. Thanks for the reply. Bryan.

Thanks for the reply, no what I am seeing does not seem to be widely reported from viewing various forums. Bryan.

So I have got a very annoying problem with my new G2, that I have tried everything I can think of to solve. The problem is I have a shocking case of aliasing (at least that's what is looks like). This aliasing (for want of a better word) is visible in the cockpit to some degree but the outside views are horrendous. Every single object (mid to long distance) has this horrible shaking/vibrating effect. I don't think this problem is related specifically to DCS because the same problem occurs with MSFS 2020. I have tried increasing mssa settings within DCS and increasing the resolution per eye setting within steamvfr but all that does is lower performance without solving the problem. My system is a 5950x and RTX 3090 wth 32 gigs of ram. I have tried the earliest driver that is available for the 3090 and the latest with hotfix. I am very close to assuming there is something wrong with the G2 itself, but have posted here in the hope that you experienced VR guys can provide a solution. Thanks.

[FIXED] HUD: A picture is worth a thousand words?
Komrad replied to randomTOTEN's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
It's clear to me, at least on my system, that ED have dropped the ball on this one. I made the mistake of updating my non beta install which of course led to the A10c HUD being messed up, but I managed to roll back to the previous version so no harm done. Komrad. -
Cool new and awesome cockpit...buuutttt......

How are you finding your HUD view? For me I'm handicapped with it and I have trackir. Komrad. -
[REPORTED] High-quality A-10C cockpit switch logic

+1 Bryan. -
ED have acknowledged that there is a problem with Hud alingment with the latest update. Bryan.

I like the new cockpit textures, but I despise the new seating position. The default view is much to far from the instrument panel, and if I manually adjust the position then it just looks weird. As others who are flying in 2D have mentioned the Hud view is messed up as well. Bryan.

Snap views are not saving with the latest A10c update, worked fine before this update. Save user snap views is selected. Bryan.

Just thought I would chime in on this thread as I have been having similar problems. I would be able to fly the A10C for about 3 minutes, sometimes less, before the sim froze to eventual black screen. The error message in windows was a "display driver has stopped working and recovered" message. I had previously contacted DCS support about this and they suggested editing the TdrDelay registry entry. This did not work, so I finally bit the bullet and down-clocked my Inno3d 1080ti factory overclocked card. I only took the core value down 30hz and the problem has now completely dissapeared. Just wanted to encourage you guys that there does seem to be a solution to this problem, in my case at least. Bryan.

Thanks for the reply. It looks like I was overstressing the 1080ti, the main culprit being ssaa. That was using 30% extra of the cards capacity, hard to believe. I would have thought using pretty much all of the cards capacity would have just led to poor performance rather than crashing, but dcs seems very sensitive in that area. Anyhow just glad to be up and running again. Bryan.

Problem with the latest version of DCS World (2.5.4) Cold and dark instant mission everything working normally, then suddenly black screen, sound can still be heard. This is a clean install, just A10c installed. Have updated 1080ti driver to latest version and installed latest motherboard drivers. Attached is the last crash log, would really appreciate any help as the sim is basically unusable at the moment....:(:( Many thanks Bryan. dcs.log-20190624-201615.zip

Just double click setup exe, install routine should do the rest. Bryan.

Utorrent is perfectly safe, Google it. Bonus is it checks the downloaded files and makes sure they are valid. Komrad.

The http/ftp servers are overloaded, thats why you are being asked for a password. Dont' bother trying to enter one it won't work. Your best bet is the torrent. EDIT: typing as EtherealN was posting. Komrad.

Forget the word 'BETA' there is no such thing any more. We are dealing with the full RTM product now. Komrad.

The theme of this thread seems to be that ED are having trouble developing and supporting extensions to the DCS series or at least they will have in the future. Nobody knows how much money ED make from their commercial contracts but I am willing to bet the sum is considerable. I think it fair to say that they consider the gaming market a topup to their finances rather than their main focus and also they love making simulators for us users. If ED were to consider that it was not financially viable to develop for and support the gaming market then I personally would not be happy with an ongoing subscription solution. Personally I would be happy to pay slightly more on a one off basis but thats as far as I would go. Bryan.

Oh well, then I doubt that ED particuarly care about those users who get bored with their products so quickly ED have their money and it's all rosy, in the business sense anyway. But a lot of repeat business is generated by not only the quality of a product but also by the reputation of the developer as well as word of mouth by users. I am willing to bet that ED have gained a lot of sales becuase of their loyal user base and I am sure they realise the importance of keeping fans loyal to the product brand. The best way of doing this is of course listening to their user base and keeping them informed, and not in the dark, as to why certain development decisions are taken. But above all I am sure what all users of ED's products want is a product which meets their simming needs, and not one that fall dissapointly short of what it could have been. But I am persauded that ED love their creations as much as the people who use them and will do their utmost to keep this sim as feature rich as possible. Keep the customers happy and they will come back for more. That is a sure fire winner for any business no matter what products they sell. Komrad.
