There must be the backup of the cdds 'cockpitstexturestga.BACK' in '\Program Files\LoTextureTool\Backups' or '\Lock On\Bazar\World'. Replace '\Lock On\Bazar\World\cockpitstexturestga.cdds' by the backup, and you will be back to the original state. Make sure you see the original seat texture in the game, then try to install again carefully.
-
Sorry, I can not do that. There is no object at the bottom of the seat. Only ED can modify that. I'm sure they will make full 3D cockpits in the future version of LockOn or the successor. We will probably have more freedom to look around then. Wait and see. :dreaming:

The downloadable RAR file includes three files. LoTextureTools_Setup.zip : Unzip and run the .exe to install the tool. RusSeatFix for DDS.zip : Unzip and follow the instruction in the readme. RussianSeatFix for LOMAN.zip : (Optional) LoMan version. Place the zip in the LoMan's addon folder. I hope it helps.

OK so LOMAC has the AFM for ....err.....ummm
TekaTeka replied to Mizzy's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I think AFM for Su-27 is far more difficult than the one for Su-25. Su-27 is a supersonic aircraft and it has the special characteristics at high AOA maneuver AKA cobra. Su-25 was a good choice as a first try of AFM. -
EDIT: This mod is included in another mod now. If you like my new cockpit reflections, you don't have to bother about the procedure described here. 1.1 Cockpit Reflection + Russian Seat Mod Update: The texture will be put into a CDDS file, and you will be able to save some resources of your PC. This is NOT LoMan compatible. This mod will replace the Russian cockpit seat texture. It will be a desirable fix after you extend the cockpit view rotation limits. Download @ lomacfiles.com The RAR file includes the DDS version, the LoMan version and LO texture tool setup. See here for the view rotation limit tweak and the LoMan version of the mod. You need the 'LO Texture Tool' to install this mod. Installation: 1. If you have the LoMan version of 'Russian Cockpit Seat Fix', uninstall it. 2. Run the 'LO Texture Tool'. 3. Click 'Open CDDS File' and open '\Lock On\Bazar\World\cockpitstexturestga.cdds'. 4. Select 'PRIBORY-09-27.TGA' from the texture list. 5. Click 'Import Single MipmapFile' and open 'PRIBORY-09-27.dds' from the unzipped files. 6. Close the 'LO Texture Tool'.

I think you already checked this, but just in case. :icon_roll Select 'OPTION' - 'INPUT' - 'Mouse' from 'DEVICE', and switch from 'BUTTONS' to 'AXES'. Then, make sure 'Zoom View' is empty: no axis assigned.
-
Disconnect all the joysticks and other USB devices physically, then see what happens.
-
Updated the LoMan file, too. (Attached.):D Tips: To visit each airfield, fly the mission, open F10 view, click the airfield icon you like and press F11 key. @ 666th_birdy: Why is the wind so strong? EDIT: Attached file deleted

If you have the Ace Mega Codecs Pack installed, delete it. 1.1FC doesn't like it somehow.
-
Here. LO texture tool @ CheckSix!
-
Maybe. There is another problem in LoMan yet. LoMan automaically searches a CDDS file that holds a texture to replace. But there are textures of identical names in different CDDS files now in 1.1 and LoMan can not distinguish them at all. So the textures can be put in the wrong places now. Sigh... :icon_frow
-
The problem is that LoMan can handle only DXT5 type of DDS files while LOMAC also uses DXT2 type. Till 1.02 there were small number of DXT2 textures. But there are many in 1.1. The ideal solution is to modify LoMan so that it could handle DXT2 files properly. LoMan has the other problems of poor qualities on generation of MipMaps and DDS compression. I hope these will be solved in a future version of LoMan.

1.1 View Rotation Limit Tweak + Russian Seat Fix
TekaTeka replied to TekaTeka's topic in DCS Modding
Thanks for the comments and the reputations, people! I'm very glad you liked it. Ruggbutt found there is a mixed-up bug on the counters. He reported it in the 'Bug List' thread. -
1.1 View Rotation Limit Tweak + Russian Seat Fix
TekaTeka replied to TekaTeka's topic in DCS Modding
(Remember the mod works only for 1.1FC.) ED made it possible. In 1.02 there was a gap in the middle of the headrest and nobody could fix it. In 1.1, ED filled the gap, but they didn't finish the texture. So I did. Of course, a lot of photoshop work was needed. -
1.1 View Rotation Limit Tweak + Russian Seat Fix
TekaTeka replied to TekaTeka's topic in DCS Modding
I forgot to post the actual photos I refered to. http://www.b-domke.de/AviationImages/Fulcrum/2789.html http://www.neomega-resin.com/mig29rear.JPG -
View Rotation Limit Tweak You already know the cockpit view rotation limits can be tweaked. I will show you my setting and some comparison of various settings. To tweak the limits, you edit \Config\View\server.lua . This is my setting. I extended the limits as much as I could. -- Camera angle limits {horizontal angle max, vertical angle min, vertical angle max} CameraAngleLimits = {} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_27] = {160.0, -76.0, 110.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_33] = {160.0, -79.0, 110.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_25] = {109.0, -70.0, 105.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_39] = {116.0, -85.0, 110.0} <--Su-25T CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iMiG_29] = {160.0, -80.0, 110.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iMiG_29K] = {140.0, -65.0, 90.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iA_10] = {160.0, -72.0, 110.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iF_15] = {160.0, -81.0, 110.0} You don't want to lower the 'vertical angle min' beyond my setting, or you will see the unfinished portion of the cockpit. In A-10, you will see the chaff and flare counters more easily by extending the limits. This is an example of the beauties of the tweak. (The counters have a mixed-up bug. The chaff counter shows how many flares are left and vice versa with the flare counter.) For Su-27, Su-33, MiG-29, A-10 and F-15, you can set the 'horizontal angle max' according to your preference. See this picture for the comparison. I recommend 150 to 160 for realistic feel. And for movie making, full backward view might be interesting. Your setting is only effective on single player play. On multiplayer play, the hosts will force you to use their settings, so that everybody will play in the equal condition. I also list the factory default values for your convenience. CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_27] = {140.0, -75.0, 90.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_33] = {140.0, -75.0, 90.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_25] = {95.0, -65.0, 90.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_39] = {110.0, -80.0, 90.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iMiG_29] = {140.0, -75.0, 90.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iMiG_29K] = {140.0, -65.0, 90.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iA_10] = {140.0, -65.0, 90.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iF_15] = {140.0, -80.0, 90.0} Russian Seat Fix After you extend the horizontal view limit of the Russian aircraft, you will see the weird look of the headrest. I made a mod to fix it. 1.1 Cockpit Reflection + Russian Seat Mod You can see the larger pic of the new seat. You will see sometimes the brightness difference between the right and left half of the headrest. That is because of how the texture mapped and something I can not handle. Enjoy!

No problem. I've done it. EDIT: File deleted

Wao! It's getting better and better! Again, I made it LoMan compatible. :icon_wink EDIT: File deleted

Do you know the ILS display has been changed in 1.1? There is no ILS bars anymore. You have two circles to follow instead. See page 23 of the new manual.

There are some pictures of rusty A-10s. (I would say 'dirty') http://www.military-wallpaper.com/--feiji/gongjiji/a-10/001.jpg http://www.military-wallpaper.com/--feiji/gongjiji/a-10/007.JPG

It works for me right now. You can try this link: the top page of the site. http://www.lomacfiles.com/

Ironhand, I did it ! I edited \ME\meinit.xml and this is what I got! See the code number! You have to click on the airbase icon in the in-flight map to see this. This is not a perfect solution but it is much better than nothing. I attached the new meinit to this message. You can try it by replacing the original by it. (Do not forget backup the original first!) meinit.zip

Thanks for the comments, everyone. :) Ironhand, The maps are great and very useful ! (I noticed the number code of Kransnodar-Pashlouskiy is missing. 19?) But, sorry, I don't think I can include those info in the mod. I might try something else... Thanks for the suggestion anyway. I checked it and found the direction changes if you have the following wind of 4m/s(13ft/s) or more. So the icon only shows the default direction. As I described above, the direction can be changed by the situation. So, it might not be a good idea. :icon_roll Those numbers are very rough, so please treat them as rule-of-thumb numbers. (1)Above ground level. But most of the airfields is placed lower than 100 meters, so the difference is negligible in most cases, I think. (2)I checked it. It's about 500m(1,600ft). (3)Looks like AI always approaches from the right side and turns right to face the runway. (4)From the runway threshold.

Hi, Omega Oska. :D My graphics setting is the Default 'High' setting plus Heat Blur (X800XT). But I don't think it will affect the HUD color. The color looks different if the background changes. The color difference between (70,255,160) and (100,255,160) is very slight, so the impression could be affected by various reasons. If you want to compare more precisely, you can take some screenshots, pick the HUD colors in a graphic tool and read the color components. But you don't have to follow my numbers. It is just a suggestion. If you find another setting you prefer more, nothing is against you to use it.

This mod is LoMan 2.1 compatible and can be installed over Lock On 1.1 and 1.02 You can download it from here(LockonSkins.com). The airfield icon will have an arrow shaped sign on it. And you will be able to tell which way you take off or land by ILS. I think this is useful when you edit your missions or you are lost direction in flight. Note : Sochi-Adler Airfield has the opposite approach direction against the icon. If the following wind is 4m/s(13ft/s) or above, the direction will be the other way. I also made an approach guide diagram. This will be installed into 'Doc' folder as 'ApproachGuide.jpg'. I hope you like it.
