  1. According to flight manual for carrier take off: Roll trim : 6° right Yaw trim: 6° right Pitch trim: 1° tail heavy From my experience if you want to trim the aircraft: 1) Stabilise pitch and roll first by stick and keep it stable. 2) After the pitch and roll is stabilised, stabilise yaw. 3) Set trim to yaw while keeping pitch and roll stable by stick. 4) Set trim to pitch and roll until you apply no pressure on stick.
  2. According to DCS flight manual, page 24
  3. My feelings about FM is: Quite common static stability for WWII warbird Extremely high dynamic stability for such heavy WWII warbird Gyroscopic precession is a thing (same like in P-47). Propeller with diameter around 5 meters results in big changes of yaw when trying to push or pull. Same for P-factor and SlipStream. Changing throttle results in need to change the rudder a lot. You don't need maneuverability when you can fly at speed of 600 km/h in altitude of 10 km. Noone can catch you.
  4. Corsair approach speed is 90 - 100 KTS IAS with flaps fully down. Do not go over 100 mph because it causes flaps retraction.
  5. Thing is: The corsair weight is over 4000 kg. (fully loaded around 8300 kg) But it feels like RC model. There is no interia and no momentum to fight with like at all other aircrafts in DCS:W. Also many aircrafts in DCS are at the limit of static and dynamic longitudinal stability. For example, a P-51D with a full auxiliary tank has its center of gravity shifted so far back that it causes great longitudinal instability. The only planes that don't give advance notice that a stall is coming are elliptical wing planes such as the Spitfire. This is due to the fact that the stall on an elliptical wing occurs all at once along its entire length, whereas on a conventional wing the stall occurs gradually.
  6. Maybe this is your issue. The video contains guide how to fix it: When I tried F-4U, the first words were: "Wow, it flies like on rails. Extremely stable, no oscilating, like the aircraft had no weight."
  7. IMO it flies "like on rails". No shaking, no drifting. Even when closing to stall spin there is no warning.
  8. The DCS flight manual says the maximum take-off weight is 7938 kg. But in weapons loadout menu it says the maximum weight is 7112 kg. This number is nowhere in DCS flight manual. So I would like to know where this comes from.
  9. Does the ultimate power setting turned off core parking by default? BTW I would like to know reason to hide this power option by default. It's not fair.
  10. Yes, Win11. Right now I have set power plan to turn display off after 3 minutes of idling. Will see the result.
  11. I think the DCS itself is not the main issue. It probably behaves like "running on background" which may cause this issue. I will post log once it happens but I am afraid that you will find nothing.
  12. I mean: I am in the middle of flight without pausing. Suddenly the screen goes black. I have to move the mouse or press something on keyboard to turn the monitor on again. My assumption is the system somehow don't know the game is running so the powers setting "turn off display after 10 minutes of idling" simply turns off the display right in the middle of flight.
  13. I think it might to have something to do with the windowed (and so the windowed full screen) mode.
  14. I would like to say the freeze is still there. But now it is less than 30 seconds. It was like 5-10 minutes before.
  15. After the first attemp it looks like it would be fixed. Tried to load in I-16 in multiplayer and there was just a very short freeze. Time will tell more.
  16. Hi. I have an question on you and the FLNKR grip. When you move the flip trigger up or down, is the "button" pressed in some position? Or is that pulse only? I can see the upper position is sensed by IR sensor. Could be this sensor be miscalibrated?
  17. It is caused by combo of DLSS and motion blur. Try to turn one of those off.
  18. Thank You. I am happy that you were able to find cause of this issue.
  19. IMO it sounds like Patent Troll.
  20. Are you sure? It was not like that few pathes ago.
  21. I've noticed something very interesting which might have something to do with this issue. When in game, the games runs perfectly. But the whole OS have tends to stutter. For example I am listening to some video on youtube as it was podcast and it is stuttering, freezing, e.t.c... Not jjust the video, but whole browser. So I have Hypothesis: DCS:W uses all cores - which leads to no free cores for OS processes. This may cause the OS stutters and also this might cause this exact issue.
  22. What I have found slamming throttle helps to overcome it a lot. But at the same time I've found that I should not slam the throttle.
  23. This undermines my trust in quality of realism hence why I play DCS:W. I am very sceptical. Time will show.
