  1. Thanks for answer. About reflection you don't know where i can find anything about it (i have look in this forum and in google without success) And okey for the sound i know that pilot have an helmet with headphone but i don't know which level of sound attenuation it do, i talk about sound effect in high AOA cause i have noticed that with the A10C we can hear the airflow sound when we open speedbreak (i don't remember for the A10C) and the airflow sound at high AOA are loudest than the airflow sound make by speedbreak i think. I totally agree we don't hear big sound in the cockpit with the big headphone, but we are anyways supposed to hear this airflow sound a little ? or not ? And what is the optimal (for realism) audio setting for 7.A Headphone ? (Logitech G930 in my case) And another question, the "Volume" slider change the general volume or only effect/engine and any other thing that the 5 other slider don't change ? @EtherealN and Sobek : And for the sound effect yeah for the volume i can do it but with my Logitech G930 7.1 Headphone (in surround mode) i hear the same thing than this video, in fact it will some time make problems when several loud sound appear. Anyways i have a new PC config now (in my signature) I will try today or tomorrow DCS with and if i have again the same problem with my Logitech G930 i will analyse and post a bug report.
  2. Hi. First thanks to ED for the new DCS world with a lot of really nice thinks =) I want to talk about the new explosion effect. I find it really nice, perfect in fact, but i want to know if its possible to create another, not for replace but for using several, in fact in real explosion never look identical, i just want to know if : If someone create several new effect like this one, do its possible to see it directly integrated into DCS for have various explosions ? =) About effect i just want to ask how can i modified the reflection effect plz ? (which files and which part of the files, it must be a .lua ? :D) Cause i want more bright and realistic in color and in power of reflection... About visual things, in real warbird a lot of gauge are not supposed to vibrate ? I remember i have a lot of video of warbird's cockpit where several instrument are not perfectly fluid and stable cause of engine and aircraft vibration/movement, but i can be wrong about it...I i'm not, can we have the possibility to see in included for the P51D and other aircraft where the gauge do the same thing ? And a last but important thing for visual effect (mainly for aircraft like A10C and P51D) its a vibration effect, indeed at high AOA almost every aircraft begin to make huge vibration cause of airflow, its important for immersion but its mainly more important for realism cause we can be able to avoid spin without judge of when the aircraft will stall but directly "feel" it like in real... The same effect (but modified for make us see the difference between two) ca be also using for ground touch down, aircraft hit by weapon or another aircraft/object and finally by weapon (like gun) firing. For sound its the same thing, at high AOA when the aircraft have huge vibration we can clearly hear a heavy airflow effect, vibration + airflow sound will really improve immersion and help for piloting the aircraft. A nice example of the sound and the vibration here with an F-18 Super Hornet http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9uGD2upNGE Another thing about the sound, same thing than explosion in fact, can we have the possibility to use several files for the same effect, random used like : ExplodeCan-A ExplodeCan-B...ExplodeGround2-A ExplodeGround2-B ExplodeGround2-C etc etc... ? A simple module who just will recognize the files name but who will choose one random with the letter (or another thing) at the end, for people who want to add more sound or effect for the same thing just put another sound files and add a new letter at the end... And finally a big wish about the over sound like this : (RIP headphone or big speaker users :D) Its not only a problem in this video, when i flight i have a lot of time this effect of over sound, i know in real world an aircraft is loud, but its only a simulator we don't need to become deaf or have an headache just for realism... I hope a correction will be done for avoid over sound like that cause its too loud and we can't appreciate the sound...
  3. Why in fact ? information still classified ? Anyways i don't think that it will be a problem for people who like the SU-25 in general, but maybe the SU-25 TM then ? And maybe ED will not do it but maybe a Third Party Projects if information can be found... I think it will be nice to have the equivalent of the A10C :p

Thanks both of you for answer for but several point finally the best thing will be to wait and see =) I hope that we will have a DCS quality SU-25T (the simplified for free version and one with clickable cockpit and advanced avionic) A question about DCS world again. Now that several aircraft are in the same core, do it will be possible to switch from the P51D to the A10C or any mix during Multiplayer without need to restart ? And just a thing, i think it will be better if option like : sound and cockpit language can be directly assigned for a single aircraft, cause several modified sound files or for immersion or anything else can make somebody want to have different sound setting depending of the aircraft/helicopter, and same for cockpit language, a Russian can for example want the KA-50 in Russian the A10C in Russian but cause he will learn more about it still with US P51D for realism or anything like that...Or just add an option for (original language) where Russian still Russian and US still US... but its only my point of view...
  5. Hi here, i have several question about the new DCS World. First question : What will be FC3 ? cause with the new system DCS Core the only thing that FC3 can be its a pack of aircraft right ? (the same aircraft than FC2 and maybe one or two more who know) or FC3 will be what we imagine of FC3 + Combined Arms ? And can you give a date for FC3 and Combined Arms ? With the new first Third Party Projects aircraft for DCS what will be the new aircraft ? only a DCS aircraft or a simplified like FC2 aircraft will be possible ? What about Third Party Projects helicopter ? And do it will be possible to see more thing than aircraft that we can control ? (from ED or from Third Party Projects) like tank, artillery, SAM and AAA, boat but non combat vehicle like C130, KC-10 or civil aircraft like private light aircraft or public transport ? When Nevada and the next aircraft will coming the new graphic engine EDGE will be here too, that want mean a total review of DCS World with a Patch or a new thing to buy -> DCS World 2 ? And last question, what is exactly Flying Legend ? like the name can suggest : any aircraft who have become famous, or only aircraft that The Fighter Collection have ?   6. In fact i don't have realize that i use a bad word, English are not my first language sorry... When i talk about "lag" in fact i want mean the corruption of the aircraft position by packet loss who will do it crazy thing like moving 10 m away back to initial position, slide 5 m left, than 3 m back, be inverted and a lot of thing but in fact the player was immobile on the parking and do start up... And yes in fact the lag are not that, but in France we say "lag" for this phenomena, i have mistake the same world using in France and using in English... In fact we can have a delay between two computer without have a crazy position problem, if the information are not corrupt and send at the same debit not matter if the information come 1 minute or 1 hours after the time where it was send, it will be a giant time lag between two computer but that not will do the aircraft have a bug of position, imagine if a guy use a program who will send the aircraft position information several minutes after the time that his computer generate it, we just will see the aircraft do a fluid flight, but just with a delay between where is the guy in real and where we see him and maybe we flight with a ghost cause the guy have leave the flight since 2 minuts... The problem of the multiplayer in DCS its not the delay between what we see and what other player do, its the position of the aircraft who can make creepy things, the problem don't come from the latency itself, and i never talk about 1 hour latency in my last idea anyways, just MAYBE a little more delay compare to pass directly through the direct server just cause the information will not coming directly from the server but will be relay by another player who are supposed to have a nice connection speed and no problem between him and the server, but that not want mean huge delay, just a little more, but no packets lost due to a problem between us and the server. In fact i want mean, a little latency but no position bug. "and not A little delay, but no lag who finally mean the same thing"
  7. @EtherealN Ok P2P will delete the problem of lag but will finally be impossible due to bandwidth that it will require and will cause problem of possible desynchronization. And we can't measure the packet lost between two pair in UDP, and about that how can i force DCS in TCP ? But what about a mix of Client and my idea ? Just the "relay part" for people who have huge bandwidth like people who using fiber, an option of "relay" (with a gift like exclusive skin or anything else who can motive people who have a nice bandwidth to enabled this option) Cause we can't detect packet lost, but we can easily detect lag, mainly when its hard, and if we have a problem between us and the server, we will see everyone lag and everyone will see lag and maybe for a little problem between us and the server but with a good bandwidth for everyone. If lag was detected between us and the server (anyways in a client system the lag can only be here) we don't receive player information from the server but from the relay, people who have nice bandwidth don't will loose anything to be a relay, mainly for people who can reach more than 50 real Mbps, now we receive the same information than what the server are supposed to send us but before coming to us that just pass through another people and we don't need extreme bandwidth, same thing for the server who will always send the same information, just that rather than directly communicate with people who lag, it will send directly to the relay guy, and in this case the only think that the relay guy need its a not bad computer and a nice upload bandwidth. Other player will don't see anything changed, them will simply exchange directly with the server. maybe we can have a little delay between what the people depending of the relay see and what it is in real, but finally its better than always have a lag and better than force other people to see us lag. If i check, relay guy with huge bandwidth will not loose anything except a little % of power in the CPU and a little part of the upload bandwidth, people who hots everyone don't will see any change, other client who are connected to the server don't will see any difference cause it not will have except to not see lag from a people who are supposed to lag due to a problem between him and the host, and the guy who are supposed to lag don't will see any change except a little delay but no lag...:D What you think about this new idea ? :megalol: And if when the official SDK will be release, anyone create integrate and test itself a VOIP system including the quality of TS3 and the advantage of TARS but with the possibility to using encrypting com panel, did you think that, due to fact that its almost already finish (just maybe a little details to correct) ED will automatically integrate it officially into DCS (with the green light from the creator) or them can refuse to integrate new feature ? And ok i get it, anyways i have planed to learn before the end of this year the programming cause of a big project and for my work i will need to create myself several software...
  8. Thanks for your illustration EtherealN. But the problem is that its a client mode and not a P2P. What about a mix between P2P and client ? All information of aircraft are send by everyone to everyone in P2P and all other information (mainly the AI and any other information that host server share with client except player position) with client mode ? With this solution we can see maybe one or two plane lag if the connection between them have a problem but we can't see everyone lag due to a problem between us and the server, right ? Not really a mix between P2P and Client but a P2P with a Master, like the difference between seeder and the source in a download with a P2P software... The Master P2P its the guy who will manage every other information than aircraft position, that not change a lot compare to a standard P2P in fact, just that if we have a problem between us and the server only the information directly relative to the server and the position of the aircraft of the guy who host will lag... And a backup solution will be : if the game measure that so many packet lost between two pair to pass through another pair who have the best network speed between two pair with a problem between them for relay information. Cause if i see the host lag but another pair not its cause the connection have a problem between the host and me, but between another pair and me if i don't have problem and that this pair have a nice free bandwidth, we can using the P2P system for relay the information between host and the pair who both have a problem together and pass through a people who don't have a lag problem with both. This system can permit if the host crash to anyone to take the relay and finally don't make everyone disconnected, same if the host have a bad connection speed, the information that the host transmit can pass through another pair who have a nice bandwidth with the host and relay it to everyone and finally people with nice bandwidth will profit of it by helping everyone who have a connection lag between them but without loose MP quality finally, that will profit to everyone, including in case of "server" crash Same thing if one of the pair who are using like a relay disconnect, the relay will be switched to other people with nice bandwidth, and if its not possible cause no one have a nice bandwidth for be a relay that will lag but anyways without my dynamic P2P idea that will lag too and with everyone (or a lot of people) and not only between two people unlike my Dynamic P2P do. The possibility for people who create a really big mission to pass the server host to anyone who want can be nice too and can permit to see a server who not will be end before the not not cause of crash but cause of voluntary disconnection of the host. And if ED decide to include a VOIP that will be better than a Client server mode and for people who have slow download speed block VOIP when its not on the same frequency can permit to finally don't loose bandwidth for something that we don't use... What do you think about my idea ? I hope it can help. The problem are simple : the effect are horrible (look at explosion) the smoke are not really good, same for the flame, it we forget all effect who are missing like vapor on wing or trans-sonic vapor cone and a lot of other important and other who are only a simple details but who can do the difference between a bad or a simple graphic rending compare to an excellent rending. The color are totally false at 100%, the cockpit look plastic, compare with cockpit addons in Falcon 4 who are totally photorealistic. Look that http://www.dsogaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/air_507a_005.jpg and told me without lie that you don't want to see the same cockpit color realism in DCS, realistic basic color and light reflection ! Its just awesome and hard to see if its a true cockpit on a sim, the its not only a texture color problem (but if since the begin realistic color was using we now don't need to change it and it will be simply better) but the problem come too from the light reflection who are totally false in DCS, the sun color too, when i play the sim that look like if i have a yellow filter front of my eyes, only good points, that offer a good render with the yellow windshield mods, but that's all. DCS = capable to show at 10Km (more with Arma 3 who have better graphic rending in fact) and i have already explain that over 5Km (except for giant building or antenna) its useless to show 3D object cause in real life or in a video game we CAN'T see difference between 2D and 3D object at more than 3Km, 5Km its really enough...Over this distance shot ONLY 2D map don't will take big power, less than what the Arma 2's graphic engine take with 5Km view, and now we can tweak it cause a lot of details are useless for an aircraft simulator, we just have to integrate this tweaked beautiful 3D engine with a 2D sphere (like a lot of game do, example with X3 Terran Conflict or RC plane simulator where the map are awesome, use the rest of the computer power for calculate color changing to this 2D textured sphere and we obtain graphic close to Arma 2 from close range : http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/6284/armaiiscreenshotpcall43.jpg And the same rending in medium/long range than what Aerofly FS have : http://aerofly-sim.de/wp-content/gallery/aerofly-fs/aerofly-fs-discus-suisse-04-20111216-193230.jpg Both look extremely nice and both together can permit to show giant map scale like DCS with EXTREMELY perfect rending and a lot of possible visual effect. Same thing for the ground texture color and the aircraft color who look so many realistic that its really hard to believe that its not a simple real picture... I will stop here cause the list of example are GIANT and its not the thread here... But yes DCS are full of problem and the graphic rending can be 10000 time better than actually, mainly when we considerate the HUGE power of our actual computer (including the lastest graphic card who can run the lastest game who are close to real time photorealistic with 3 screen with nice FPS number). If only for this "far to be good" actual graphic DCS don't need big power for run, ok i not will say anything, but use 100% of an HD6970 for show ugly result i can't accept that without react... And just for information i have to a test with my I7 920 and my HD6970, both without overcloack, i have push my CPU to +15% and my GPU from 880 for GPU and 1375 for memory to 925 for GPU and 1410 for memory, and i was really surprise to see how many FPS more i get in DCS...->0 Same thing one day during a FPS/Eyefinity Test (without eyefinity) i have one time get MORE FPS with MAX graphic setting than the SAME scene (the A10C presentation scene) with MINIMUM graphic, sorry but that only shot how many its totally BAD and have NO ONE optimization, just a basic graphic engine optimization and NOTHING more. Best example, for another flight Sim (FSX AND XPlane) this addon carrier in FSX http://www.referenseo.fr/presse/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/USS_Nimitz__USS_Eisenhower_2.jpg and http://royalefrenchnavy.gratisim.fr/Navires/USS_NIMITZ_IKE_PORT.jpg and this carrier in XPlane 10 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPQxWLo5PZU both full of aircraft and with animation...Both take LESS performance than the DCS's carrier who have NOTHING on the deck, less animation and poor texture... Now try to told me that its normal than in both simulator we get better visual for less FPS... I'm really sorry to insist about graphic but all i have say its totally true here and proof that the problem don't come from me... Maybe for people who don't need graphic rending for immersion can be happy but more than half (including people who don't have buy the simulator due to this fact) it actually bad or horrible, i have test with a guy who know a lot about programming, who are really nice for photography and he have say, its horrible that look like if we play at Simcity...(two people who don't know the simulator world have say the same thing, proof that people who know it are just accustom to see it but for every other the result are always the same, its bad and ugly (except maybe people who have never see graphic from computer like me the first time i have see a simulator that was FSX). And for stop about graphic (anyways its far to be the only part full of bug and of problem, like the fact that every patch add new bug or the AI and a lot of things) No VOIP don't will make people piloting like if that was real, but VOIP + the huge number of missing feature who make DCS not a real simulator but a realistic game (cause the aircraft itself are perfect but the rest of the sim are bad) like the actual mission, my Battlefield idea its a good example : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=84001 Actual mission are only based to unrealistic thing, my dynamic battlefield idea can permit to embody A SINGLE pilot for a long period with OUR aircraft, OUR country, OUR assignment and a lot of things who will finally don't do a single flight without any suite, but a true conflict where every act count and where if we do stupid things (for avoid troll) that not will affect our country but we must have to pass again flying class for flight again on this server, same thing for ejected pilot who really need to be rescues, base manager will assign several aircraft and helicopter (or ground/sea vehicle) to this rescue mission and spy aircraft will REALLY be useful for the first time unlike today where its only here for make a role play of theirs use... With a lot of feature like that who are EXACTLY like real life and who augment immersion we will see more serious people, and less serious people will anyways keep flight on the standard server like actually. @EtherealN & Bearitall I read what you write, the screenshot are just here for shot that i have a "normal" connection speed, its the same ping when i play on any game server, the same band switch when i download and same for upload, the test i have made its just for show that i don't say : "i don't understand why that lag i have a good network connection" and finally have 300 of ping, less than 1MBPS in DL and less than 0.2 MBPS in Up, cause in this case yes its sure that my connection was the problem, but its not, and for game server its easy to see what is my performance, i just have to play with several online game, in the list : Arma 2 (all extensions), Assassin's Creed Revelation, Battlefield 3, Dirt 3, Fear 3, Portal 2, Rise of Flight, Splinter Cell Conviction, Supreme Commander 1, 1FA and 2, Unreal Tournament 3 and several other and in ALL this game, that i play with people in France, with Hamachi or in the official server with people who host at the other side of the earth its the same thing, i have a nice connection its totally playable and that don't lag, and when that lag its soft and hard to see it, its FAR to be like what i have in DCS, i don't care that every game/software are different, its always the same type of information who are send : position, attitude and actions, if other game can without lag show the position of any unit without have just a little lag, DCS can do it, for example in a game like Arma, we have the position of the player in the map like DCS, the attitude (vehicle, aircraft or where the player look) completing things like where the player look like and where the gun are aim, what weapon he actually carry, wish is in in their hands, the body attitude and more, like in DCS, nothing else and nothing more to transmit, if ANY OTHER game can do it, DCS can do it too... I have better quality of fluidity in the game with any other with : a bad day for network + download and playing with how who have a really cheap connection in another country, than : DCS with firewall disabled, ports open, connection/router restart just before playing (better bandwidths) and playing with people who have a really huge connection and in my country Sorry but when i see that its easy to say after that the problem come from DCS and not from any connection and computer, mainly when we know that the multiplayer know problem during LAN party...

Uploaded with ImageShack.us 4 screenshots of different network test with two who test the packet lost and the result : 0%, and not only in my country. now you can still say what you want but the fact is here : i have a good connection and i DON'T lag in all game i play, ONLY in DCS i see lag, sorry but i don't have pay every game creator for make an exception and according all theirs game with my connection, the problem are not on my side, and like i have already say i have several time play with people all around the world without lag but with DCS i have lag with people who living in France (and who have really better connection than mine) Anyways before the end of this year i will have the optic fiber... And yes DCS have a lot of problems, one of the biggest and the worst its the AI who are extremely stupid and CAN'T do a flight without do stupid thing, have a problem or anything like that, for example yesterday i have to a flight for testing several addons and the flare texture that i have modification, i don't have do extreme hard flight but the wingman incapable to follow me simply troll and spam me with a lot of " 2 Rejoin, 2 Rejoin, 2 Rejoin, 2 Rejoin, i was bored i have order him to RTB, he said 5 more time 2 Rejoin and after he say : 2 Copy RTB, i was happy that its finish to spam me but just after say me that he RTB he strike back with a lot of 2 Rejoin, i have give him again the same order and same thing, i was boring i have shut off my radio and shot him with a Sindewinder... Same thing for the carrier bug who are suposed to be corrected, sorry but i still see aircraft who bug completly on the carrier. We have the totally non-optimized graphic engine who cause bug and for ugly graphic suck all power of a big computer (i can't believe that people with I7 Sandy Bridge and the last graphic card (HD7970 and GTX 680) can have so low FPS and are forced to reduce graphic effect, sorry but view distance are a little excuse cause several solution can permit to show FAR AWAY (more than in DCS) without need big power and can be combined with FPS graphic engine and the result is : perfect graphic from shot distance (10->15Km, we DON'T NEED more for 3D details) and medium+long range (from 10->15 to infinite) with tweak like 2D evolutive sphere of horizon (and shot photorealistic details with evolutive color, i know you think that photorealistic are a commercial argument and its not realistic due to things like shadows taken with the picture and other difference but its 1000 better than actual TOTALLY false DCS's color). We have too the sound problem, when the game have several sound in the same time or loud sound my 7.1 headphone (Logitech G930 who NEVER !!! bug in other game, application, music software and all other thing) make me hear buggy sound. The fact that the simulator are based to CPU power + don't design for using multicore (perfect stupid couple) The fact that the SIMULATOR are more optimized for external view than internal view only... I need to continue ? Sorry but its not me who cause all this problem. I don't care about how other game are different with theirs multiplayer system, its design for share player information llike where the player is, what is this atitude (look down, up, turn and other) and other information like wish weapon, gesture, skin and other, same for DCS position of the aircraft, attitude of the aircraft, engine power and control surface position and head basic position and after that we have only information who only need to be updated and not to be continuously transmitted like here the TGP look, if the ECM are ON or OFF, landing gear, Flaps, lights, radio frequency and ID of communication (if he ask for engine start up, approach, refuel or other) its must be ONLY information who need to be transmitted ONLY when its updated and not continuously, if its already the case its great but that not explain why a simple position + attitude can't be correctly send and if its not the case its not another proof that its not correctly done... If an integrated version of TARS have a cost, are you think that the guy who have create TARS plugin have pay for ? i don't think so... Its less realistic cause its need that everyone on the server want to back to windows (alt+tab) without crash and connect to TS of the server and VOIP can be the first way to implement voice command (just say F1, F2 F3 and other, that will be a nice begin) for example the up position of the micro switch permit to enabled voice command and keep the forward, backward and down permit to talk on the VOIP and just shot click show the menu that we will command with voice command without spam other people with F1, F2, F3 and other things, that can be too the first way to implement player ATC and mission control center. And in the list of people who will connected to the TS server what when half don't use TARS ?... And i know its easy to create a TS server, but its not anyone who want to do it, and all modern game with multiplayer integrated VOIP (including simulator like Rise of Flight for example) Just for information, my friend don't troll me, but in a unknow TS server, unknow people can troll us, with integrated VOIP we can just mute a player without need to back to windows desktop, and risk crash of the plane or simple game crash... And i know that a lot of people finally don't use this simulator like a simulator but like an arcade game, and i think if DCS where more design for be a simulator and not an open software with a lot of arcade part that will force people to using it like a simulator, in real what happen if a pilot start up, take off and don't do the assigned mission ? he will simply intercepted and maybe shoot down cause aircraft steal its a reality, if DCS was realistic in case of several fratricide or things that the pilot must never do an order will be given for every fighter who are available for intercepting it and find why he don't answer at the radio... My dream its to do the same type of co-op flight with unknown random people on the server And i'm sure a lot of people want too to do it, but first without VOIP its not easy and with the lag problem its worst. So yes if the simulator was more realistic more people will use it like a simulator and not like an arcade game, but with the giant list of missing feature (and bug) its not for today... The position problem still here and with people from my country or from the other side of the planet, when i rejoin or when i host... My anti position problem its simple : Why an aircraft on the parking in a flat ground with both engine cut off without wind have to moving ?... IMPOSSIBLE, so when a corrupted position transition come and are supposed to make impossible thing to the aircraft, its simply blocked, the aircraft CAN'T without collision with engine stop on a flat ground without any wind accelerate at more than 50G for move instantaneously 5m ahead of this last know position, its simple and really logical... An aircraft can't be teleport at 1Km (or more) from his actual position, so, when the position are updated for do impossible thing like that the aircraft DON'T must do it before that its confirmed (cause the actual position can be false and the updated can be simply true). You know what must be the best thing finally ? Don't see the direct player position but a bot like who PILOT with the aircraft limitation for follow where the player are supposed to be, i have say a BOT LIKE not a real bot of course, but not a direct transition of position, just a follow of this direct transition... What will be the result ? rather than see an aircraft who will instantaneously be teleport ahead or back of this real position we just will see an aircraft who do a lot of engine power correction, but that all, the aircraft CAN'T look like a lag even if that lag really hard, the position will just be more fluid and according to the flight model limitation, and that will be a good occasion for using a third CPU core, for manage multiplayer (like we actually using SIM+ Sound, the best will be to using 4 core, Sim + Sound engine + Multiplayer + AI) And the only way for an aircraft to be teleport its only in the case of the actual position are totally false and the real are far away, but its the aircraft are just 10m of the real player position it just will using the flight model for reach the real position with maybe the possibility to overclock engine power if the real position are ahead and that the player use full throttle power. I'm sure this idea are not implemented, and i'm sure it can work and open new door (like save CPU power and improve radically the multiplayer with new possibility due to dedicated CPU core)... and both solution can be perfect : 1_ Automatic position correction according to aircraft performance (if the worst case if a corrupted information coming we just will see the player aircraft begin to turn for reach his updated position and turn again for finally back to the real position) (for position + attitude + surface control and head position and only updated when changing : TGP, Landing Gear, Flaps, Light and other thing who can still at the same state for long time before changing). 2_ trajectory more fluid, like if we using the mission editor for create a WPT route and in a route we just decide to be crazy and in a radius of 10m we put 10 WPT from WPT 5 to 15 and the 16 are at the normal trajectory, when we will approach of the WPT 5 after passing the 4 nothing happen, but when we reach the WPT 5 we don't will need to follow all 10 crazy WPT, cause its really close the aircraft will automatically switch to WPT 16...Just do the same thing for MP, when a crazy trajectory are detected, just correcting it by follow the more logical (the more right) trajectory. 3_ CPU core dedicated to calculate both of this feature (cause that will need power) and maybe cause a little delay for people who lag, but rather than see lag player just will follow the aircraft with 1 or 2 seconds of delay, and we can another thing with this new dedicated CPU core, a little more advanced AI flight model (AI itself who using a dedicated CPU core + another when we play SP mission) for see AI spin after try to pull high AOA in a dogfight or in an attempt to evade a missile or anything like that, and that can permit to calculate aircraft turbulence, cause its a IMPORTANT thing who missing actually, the beautiful XB-70 for example are crashed cause another aircraft who flying close to his tail was sucked in the vortex and collide with, its not a minor feature, that can cause crash (imagine a fighter at mach 1.2 at low altitude, hard to reach more than mach 1.2 at sea level but possible, imagine if this aircraft just pass under an helicopter, the helicopter will simply crash, same thing if when we try to land in an A10 a big KC-135 who will for any reason cross our trajectory will simply make us crash due to low speed during landing... 4_ anticollision system who are just a verification of position of both aircraft by transmit again and check several time position of both aircraft when theirs are supposed to collide, that will cause a 1 or 2 second delay between the collision and the effect of this collision maybe but avoid false collision (who happen me a lot of time) and that will happen only when a detection are detected and if this feature can permit to avoid collision who are never supposed to happen i think its a must have...

I know that the problem don't come from my connection cause two people with nice connection between them can have this problem and in all other game i play i don't lag, i have already play with a lot of different country, one day in BF3 i was surprise to find a server on the Antarctic, if i can play online with other game with people who come from various country and don't get lag and with the same country (or with people in my country) i lag in DCS, i'm sorry but the problem can only come from DCS, i think the network code are written like the AI in fact... Maybe but : 1: Its written really bad and finally don't work cause the lag problem still here, its a fact 2: its not the same solution that i have say, its a different who don't stop lag Sorry my mistake i have think you have say that the information pass through the Master Server at Moscow...:doh: Yeah but like i have say its a lot of disadvantage to using that : 1 I don't see a lot of people who using TARS, i have use it only one time with my squadron and only for testing it in fact 2 that need that someone have a TS server 3 that need to back to windows for connect and several computer/DCS crash when we try to back to windows (not my case but i think about who do) 4 its more binding and after the fact that we must not confuse different channel we have too and prey that we don't have a lot of troll who don't play DCS but who use the same TS server for another game and who decide to come troll us 5 its less realistic and a VOIP its the only way to using the radio encrypting panel, that want mean more realistic feature, and if a network code capable without problem to transmit voice are implemented, maybe with the same way better position transition will be too... If my anti-lag idea are implemented, why i lag ?... In this case its not really a lag but a bug of position of other player and i'm far to be the only one who have this problem... I'm not need any experience to understand that in a simulator or in an arcade game FPS game or any other game/software a position/attitude and basic animation transition are the same and that if for the same connection speed in ALL OTHER that not lag or have a bug of position the problem come for sure of the software itself and not from my connection.   12. @Sobek&EtherealN Just keep do the same thing than before loose position information, if the player aircraft turn, the aircraft that we see must turn too and if we loose position simply keep the aircraft turning at the same direction and, the aircraft keep doing the same thing than before loosing information, when the position will be updated the aircraft will spawn from the last know route to the updated route, but that will not be a problem compare to actual when for a little packet loss the aircraft will ALWAYS (not matter if the player use autopilot and follow a perfect trajectory) moving and everywhere and make a totally unplayable game, for people who don't have lag its not will be a problem, that not will change anything except for people who have lag who will have a better quality of the product... And with my simple solution for aircraft who simply follow a right trajectory no one will see anything and for a situation where the player turn if he keep the same turn the difference before and after the position loss will be imperceptible, anyways the position loss its less than 1 seconds, the only thing to do its to assuring that the aircraft will only follow route from confirmed position. Anyways why passing by Moscow ? The master server mainly due to the fact that a lot of people living far from it must be here ONLY for force people to be connected with a legal account but nothing else, the information between two player MUST be P2P + Host to P (and not Host to P only). Impossible to connect to multiplayer and to maintain a MP connection without Master server ok, but i don't see any advantage to use the Master Server for MP information between player, and with P2P+H2P we will be able to using VOIP controlled by radio function in the simulator, best than TS or Skype where we need to leave the game or return under windows for connecting with people that we don't know and to force someone to create a TS server with a real and nice possibility to using radio com + radio encrypting... Imagine both of my idea, only confirmed position (for people who will lag that just will increase delay of position but that's all) + logical aircraft performance limitation + server only for check account : Perfect multiplayer !...

Its funny cause in DCS we have just 10 aircraft and 30 effect in the same time and we loose half of performance, when i play game like Supreme Commander with an addon who unlock the unit number capacity i can have 2000 !!!! unit in the same time with a lot of explosion, fire, shock wave and a lot of things + !!! unit from enemy (and i'm nice i talk about only 1Vs1 and not 4vs4) and with the maximum of possible number of effect, nuclear bombs, impact of the ground, on the water, on unit, on shield, unit explode and more and more (including the perfectly beautiful flame effect of the Cybranasaurus Rex that i really what to see in DCS, cause this effect DON'T take any CPU or GPU power and are SO BEAUTIFUL 10000 time more than ugly explosion of DCS who take incredible power from our PC), and i still have less FPS loss compare to empty map -> max graphic stress than DCS with empty map -> 50 unit, ground and air maximum and a little number of effect. Why effect look better in Supreme Commander 2 and take 2000 time LESS performance than a single explosion in DCS ? Look this effect with the flame, the light, the heat blur Power consummation of 10 of them firing together = same power consummation than a SINGLE effect in DCS like a single explosion or a single Heat Blur for the SAME resolution at the scree finally and a 1000 time more beautiful effect in SupCom2, include : flame effect (perfect) heat blur (a little effect but still here) a really realistic smoke effect, two missile with light effect, smoke trail and explosion effect and a lot of little projectile with light tail and in flight explosion effect and ground explosion with a PERFECT impact where it can be perfect to see in DCS. So please stop to say that its not possible to IMPROVE TOTALLY graphic rending AND visual effect, its 100% possible. Another example here : with a incredible number of effect in the same time and a really poor FPS loss or here with the biggest and the worst effect for computer power, nuke and a incredible number with a big loss of FPS but don't still here long time with a lot of smoke and particle... Only one nuke like that in DCS will simply make the game unplayable... With the small size effect in DCS and the fact that the simulator MUST BE optimized for a cockpit view (including TGP) i don't know why the SAME effect can't be implemented in DCS (not the nuke but every other like flame, smoke, heat blur, particle and ground impact)... Why ?
  14. The bug are also here, mainly disconnection, aircraft spawn into another (free slot aircraft must be already on the parking and not spawn, that will be more realistic and avoid this bug). And my connection don't cause any problem for EVERY other game/software, i play BF3 without see any lag problem or disconnection, same for a lot of FPS game... Game where the position have less than a centimeter of precision in the map, same for Arma 2 and Same for Orbiter with MP addons who the full solar system are here and the ship of the other player don't get any problem like that. Maybe little lag will never be eliminated but its only in aircraft simulation that i see bug like that. I prefer a simulator where the aircraft follow a logical route before have a confirmed position with the other player and who can spawn from one position to another some time than actual where we see the aircraft make ground aerobatic maneuver or kill us by a nonexistent collision... The only thing one aircraft and do on the ground its follow a trajectory, well limit aircraft for only follow a FLUID trajectory on the ground and not see it can go under ground sometime... Same for the fact than an aircraft can't cross the map in a single second, its not a UFO, its supposed to be an A10C (i never have see aircraft who can do it anyways), just script it, i don't get why (except position rectification under CONFIRMED POSITION -> and not every time) and aircraft can do thing over the possibility of this flight model... I prefer have a ½ of delay or more than actual multiplayer MAYBE in direct but with this list of bug, and another people with nice connection speed together have see them have a lag... Its not the fault of my connection, the multiplayer simple must be totally rework like a lot of other things anyways...

  16. Anyways i not think the next aircraft will be a dualseat, i think its why ED have choosing the KA-50, the only single seat combat helicopter in the world... Except the Little Nelly who are an autogyro :D When i see the number of bug in multiplayer actually (so many lag, its impossible to try a formation flight without risk a imaginary collision or a lot of disconnection) i can't imagine what it will be with a dual seat aircraft...Same for the AI, today i have again have the proof that the AI are the baddest i have ever see, i can't imagine a AI wingman... i hope that not will be an F-16, we have a lot of sim for this aircraft and its maybe a nice aircraft but with nothing special compare to the F-18 with carrier OPS, high alpha and a lot of things who make it a really special aircraft and the F-15 who have incredible performance and power, i hope if that will be an Eagle that it NOT will be the C or the D cause only Air to Air mission will be boring after an aircraft who can only do Air to Ground, multirôle first and Air Air after...And finally i want see the F-15E but maybe too recent and two seat problem again...Same for F-14 who are nice but too old and two seat... F/A-18E are nice but the C have better maneuverability. Best choice -> F/A-18C Hornet with realistic and TOTALLY improved carrier OPS and with ground crew (i can't imagine how we can place the aircraft on the catapult without crew without kill every aspect of the simulation by using external view)... with high alpha and of course vapor on wings at high speed and vapor on the fuselage on high alpha like real with flexible wing effect !!! And please ED don't use plastic color this time please !!! take cockpit texture from photography....
  17. We can create a lot of various SimPit. For example me, i use the simplest possible, i have the Hotas Warthog, the Stick between my legs and the throttle on my left put on the original box (perfect height) and a Saitek Pro Flight Rudder that i have attach 2 cable, when i want fly i use the cable and catch in into the wheels of my chair and i use a box on my right where i put my mouse, and i play with Track IR, i can't play with Eyefinity cause DCS suck every little poor FPS of possible under the fact that its not optimized (and ugly) and the worst he can't take Crossfire/SLI, for me that look like a bad joke, ugly graphic and low FPS with the best computer config today and impossible to compensate in by taking dual GPU (like the fact that DCS is based on the CPU power and it can't using multithread, perfect stupidest couple ever, another STUPID thing who proof that its extremely unoptimized at a freaking level) Good luck for multimonitor... Anyways other possibility will be to create an identical solution (Hotas Warthog + rudder + mouse) and will using screen glasses, actually the resolution of the screen glasses are really low sadly but that have the advantage of the 3D and that save a lot of power due to low resolution and unlike Track IR the head movement are at 1:1 scale, and you can do better and use a glove with an IR system and 2 buttons with a software for simulate a mouse directly dependent of where you looking, that want mean that you have the more realistic head movement ever with best immersion possibility and possibility to directly click into the cockpit without mouse. For a nice immersion its the priceless solution, you just need good screen glasses (300$, 500$ for a nice model) who can integrate nice head movement sensor, or create your own by using a screen like a little 10" screen on your head with mirror system for see it with both eyes and try to get better resolution than google on the market and for hand cockpit clicking possibility i thing the best solution will be with a Wii remote and several IR camera like Free Track camera. Other solution will be a semi cockpit, Hotas Warthog, Rudder and several keyboard. After you have another solution but the cost begging to be high and the immersion are not perfect, you can directly using several touch screen all around you and simulate front panel (wit a giant or several front of you) left and right console (with 4 touch screen) and a main screen front of you. After that we have a more advanced sim that will begin to be harder and longest to create and big cost, you can create a full cockpit without gauge, every button and cockpit side reproduced and you use a lot of screen for show gauge, for example a big on the front right who will show right MFCD and engine gauge and a lot of other for every screen + main screen. After we have one of the best SimPit possibility : create a full cockpit with every working gauge but its the more complex and harder and the solution who cost the more and finally you will using it with a single screen front of you (i think its completely useless) And the best solution for a little more cost will be the same cockpit but with a giant flexible screen (or two/three of them, depending of the size) who completely recover the canopy at 100%, you just have to put a system in your helmet (cause with a 100% replica cockpit you must using a real suit and helmet :D ) who will detect your head position and move where the screen show the image (sadly with the unoptimised graphic engine of every simulator its the only way, a 360° display will kill a NASA's computer...) And if you have more budget you can do the last final immersion thing to this cockpit : using a platform who moving by hydraulic or electric system, put your cockpit on it for simulate basic movement effect and vibration, using a voice reconnaissance system for say : F1, F2, F3 etc for radio com, use a system who make feel realistic for respiration with oxygen in the mask, and a belt who will tighten you when you take G, put nice speakers all around your cockpit and another in your helmet for the radio and aircraft system. And if after that (the best ever) you want more, you have a last solution : 3D view ! You have an helmet, flexible screen with polarization i don't think that exist, but flexible screen with 120hz or more that exist, you can using two LCD screen filter in your helmet synchronized with your screen and have a nice 3D view in your perfect cockpit ! But that will cost more than a real aircraft (like the beautiful Piper J3 Cub) I think its all different level of cockpit realism/complexity possible. Except maybe if you have billions of dollar and you want pay for holographic display, supercomputer dedicated to this simulator and artificial G effect technology :D

Create a "Free Track" IR system and download Freetrack http://www.free-track.net/ and use a compatible webcam or if you really like the simulation buy Track IR http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/ and you will be able to move your head closer of the HUD and look around easily, if you really like the simulation its a really must have. And when the simulator start strange thing happen, it start to unzooming and give bad effect, press Enter (on your num pad) and the zoom will return to normal setting and you will see a little better your HUD. But you must do it with Free Track or Track IR for be able to move quickly your head into the front panel for see instruments, screens and other. But we can't configure the HUD position in a fighter aircraft (maybe in certain WW2 aircraft only) you can only move up or down your seat in the case of the A10C for example. You can disabled "head movement forced by G" in option, your head will stop to moving with the aircraft. But the HUD don't move, the HID itself or the data show on it, that don't move, only your head move, its not adjustable.
  19. Yeah but i think the Eyefinity from ATI are better and the main advantage of the next generation of Eyefinity its te possibility to compensate, for example i actually have 3 screen in 22" each. I will soon take a couple of MSI HD 7970 Lightning and a 27" screen, i will be able to use my eyefinity setup with a big screen on center and two 22" around, when a game can't run at 5760x1080 or for movies i will use only the 27", for DCS i will see, depending of the capacity on a single card in DCS, but if i'm lucky and that my config win a little more fps with crossfire activated (already see FPS gain in DCS with Crossfire on this forum) i will be sure activated my Eyefinity. But maybe you will told me that the TX 680 support the screen compensation like the Eyefinity 2 and that will be a good new for me... =)

People who have the possibility can directly begin to create home cockpit or preparing hardware for the next aircraft, people can already begin to study doc from the real aircraft (like i have only for curiosity begin to read information about the Hornet)... Maybe ED have theirs own reason for don't told us what it will be (i don't understand what can be this reason) but why not announced an announcement, like say : "In 3 month we will release the trailer and official screenshots of the next official DCS Fixed wing US Aircraft." Or something like that, but not lest us wait without any idea of how many time we will wait, imagine if we will wait for 5 more month for a little information... A lot of people just will begin to be mad about it, and announced if faster can permit to everyone to begin to create addons like procedure mission, aircraft advanced possibility and a lot of other things who will completed the default mission create by ED... And private company can too begin to create a joystick or panel instrument like the hotas warthog but more advanced, imagine for example if the next is an F/A-18, several enterprise can begin to create various reproduction of the real, certain will be cheap and other more advanced than the hotas warthog with for example possibility for the game to controlling the throttle position, same for rudder or a lot of thing... I see a lot of reason for announced faster than possible what will be the next aircraft and i don't see any reason for don't announced it...

  24. @EtherealN Its what i have think, but actually without any SDK or tools its not possible to create a new aircraft, maybe modified several things in actual but that's all... @ogata321 that will be perfect but ED will work on it for a LOOOONG period of time :D Look the time between every DCS aircraft, its not fast to do, its a long and hard work, but maybe with the time do every FC aircraft as the same level than the SU25T can be possible, advanced flight model and a little more avionic. @Blaze, i have never say that its easy, i just said : for ED its less hard (don't mistake with easy) compare to DCS aircraft completely reproduced, look the difference between simple freeware aircraft in MFS created by anyone and an aircraft like PMDG 737 or the VRS Super Hornet, for DCS/FC its the same, DCS aircraft will always be more complex, harder, and longer to create than FC aircraft, compare to DCS aircraft FC aircraft are not hard, that don't what mean that its easy to create it, and i say "hard/not hard" for ED team, not for everyone who want try to create one...

And please remember me what is exactly the "3rd parties" i'm not sure to not mistake... @Blaze & joey45 Ho yes sorry your right, aircraft without advanced avionic and without advanced flight model like the F-15C in LOMAC are certainly more complex than the KA-50 and the A10C... Seriously are you kidding ? i don't have saying that its easy to create an aircraft for Flaming Cliff, i just said compare to DCS aircraft like the A10C the A10A in FC2 are not hard to do, that's all... @Everyone The must have still the B-1 !!!! he look like a spacecraft, its a nice bomber, or maybe DCS XB-70 Valkyrie :p But what about DCS CVN-65 USS Enterprise ? :p
