  1. Its just a graphic engine, its not a physics engine, that will impact only for what we see, avionic and flight model not need to change... I don't know why that will be a crap simulator, explain plz, cause, in this video its a 3D where player control camera and during flight we can see really nice visual range like flight sim need and for the rest, and a simple HD6950 can without lag work with this graphic engine, DCS and any flight sim for graphics like sim city need full power of HD6970 and other best graphic card, don't work with 100% graphics setting without lag... Same realism with BF3 (for example) graphics engine (or render) just must be perfect !

I have listen before posting my long post a lot of sound cause the problem with no monotone sound is a bad voice effect like Enfield 2!!! 0 ENGAGE that ENEMY tank from NORTH, exactly like what we hear from Arma 2, its extremely bad, example : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oib-3bd_q_k The solution can be to add more voice or multiple prerecorded thing like for heading record many time every heading 085 095 138 179 258 298 336 359 same for altitude and more... I agree but that will be worst than everything if the voice become like Arma 2... Anyway when DCS will include various ground unit for player control (cause DCS want mean Digital Combat Simulator and not Digital Air Combat Simulator), maybe on day we can have tank SAM, boat and soldier and more... For the moment just the possibility to control pilot can be nice, imagine, like combat helo, the possibility to get out our KA50 or A10C, walk around and more... Possibility to add ground crew with nice advanced animation (cause if its not better than actual AI soldier animation, its useless), maybe too, the possibility to see them help us for installation in cockpit like in real with great animation and good pilot body... And in my long post i have too forget to say : the possibility to choose one by one what we want during rearm cause a lot of time we want custom payload but we don't find what we want... Why not like combat helo the possibility to choose it outside the cockpit or just with radio communication, like every one want, and see ground crew really load it...
  4. In my precedent post i talk about the graphic problem http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=81293 , and now, more important problem, the AI... Why its important ? One, cause actually a lot of thing that the real A10C do, we can't do it too, for example cover ground infantry under fire, DCS's AI will kill enemy or be killed without try to stay cover, example of real CAS : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3rpz-Ea2hg Here the soldier don't still where the sniper can kill him... Or if even JTAC is under fire, it will continue to make a really LOOONG attack procedure, will i think in real if i'm under enemy fire i just will ask to aircraft to strike faster than possible the enemy position and not take 5 minute under fire to make long procedure... But aircraft too have the same problem, look how attack aircraft or helicopter will proceed... Flight ahead of the target, drop the bomb and make a LOOOOOONNNNNNG turn, extremely long and quiet turn so borring, align again and do it again, that take SOOO many time and if we say "speed is life" its not for nothing, faster the objectify its completed, faster the mission its over and better it is... Look it : At 5:30 at airshow demo of ground attack, in real its really close to that and IA don't do that, but a think its really important, that can be realistic if AI do the same maneuver and drop 1 or 2 flares !!! In real life attack aircraft pilot do many time a fast turn, dive and firing gun on target and sometime don't climb before hear pull up pull up !!! from gpws And that will not hard to do, you just need to script it, that not need extreme AI... Cause AI flight with military attack and fighter aircraft like in a Boeing 747, and during attack it will still at navigation speed indicate in mission editor, but navigation and combat speed must be different, combat speed must be automatic. Or attack with bad weapon like using gun against a tank and maverick or bombs against infantry... Same for a lot of things... Like standard flight, look it : and F-15 and the two A10C "goes inverted after refueling" and its not an exception, and its a real part of flight... Hight performance take off, low flight and close flight formation its important for two things... First, IA its supposed to simulate real pilot, real military pilot never will flight so conventionally, sometime they will go crazy cause its important for the moral... And its too important for : Hight performance take off its a lot of time what pilot will do at scramble situation, low flight its important for flight under radar and same for really close flight formation, two formation of two aircraft can in enemy radar look like only two aircraft, and the surprise effect can be important, imagine two F16 go ahead to intercept 2 enemy aircraft on radar look like 2 mig 29 and, at BVR missile range F16 will not flight against 2 but 4 mig 29... More humanize IA can be important cause imagine 4 vs 4 situation, RED vs Blue, 3 blue are killed and the last still fight against 4 enemy, and, 2 more RED coming... I think real pilot will try to escape and maybe save is life, IA will try to fight and die... Another problem, IA react without any reaction time... And ground unit its a problem too, adding more unit like sniper can be important, why ? Imagine in Black Shark, we have for mission to protect ground unit, enemy sniper kill two on them, other try to find a good place for stay cover, we try to find where is the sniper, if we are so far that will be hard to see him but if we are so close we take the risk to be killed cause 50 .cal its really dangerous... Same for A10C, without the risk from the sniper, but imagine, we thing the area is clear, we make low pass for try to see friendly and hided enemy with machine gun fire at us... And soldier with anti tank weapons too its very important and can really change a lot of things in mission... More important, the combat strategy... Its not rare situation, i think its more common than A10C deployment, i think every aspect of combat its really important in a simulation... Who not want to make real ejecting pilot's protection mission with real helicopter extraction ? See firetruck automatically coming after crash at landing, see accident and not crash by bot stupidity, the difference against rare crosswind landing fail like in real or stall by inattention and stupid crash cause AI can't correctly follow good procedure of air waiting area over airport and do stupid collision or stupid crash at so many time... Cause actually we don't really can do a real or realistic CAS mission... Like that And a lot of example... Now imagine the possibility for ejected A10 pilot to control realistic pilot (and not a strange guy with strange movement), to try to run and escape to enemy force and ask helicopter extraction, be cover by other (AI or player in multiplayer), see friendly force if not far coming to help us on the ground and wait the shopper... Its realistic for people who need to eject and for pilot who will cover us... The possibility to see F15 (for example) take off at scramble situation in reaction of enemy aircraft enter under air space without set it in mission editor (with possibility to disable it if we want)... Civil traffic too, cause we have already civilian car and one jet, but try to not shoot, do collision or integrate in civilian air traffic for when we land (or take off) on civilian airport, or interception mission, civil aircraft its too a part of the real flight... Possibility to embody the JTAC. And a lot of things... Group and ungroup possibility, i explain, imagine the possibility for any group to be separated into multiple little group or individual unit and each follow a secondary route preprogrammed in mission editor when a trigger is activate or itself in special condition with possibility to disable that. But the must biggest advantage can be for flying formation, imagine if F15 will escort A10C, every aircraft flying in a big formation and not 2 independent formation cause any little problem (like leader turn for avoids a stupid collide or escape from a SAM) and F15 will be really far from A10C. Same for refueling, imagine formation of 4 F16 close from tanker and prepare refuel, since one of viper will begin to refuel the 3 other flying in formation with tanker with aleatory with possibility to choose : aleatory formation or designed in mission editor, same for escort of an AWACS or anything...Like that http://www.aviation-fr.info/militaire/ravito/fighters_0002.jpg possibility when 2 different squadron will refuel that all flying in formation with tanker like only one air group. Imagine 3 A10C Springfield 3-1 and Ford 6-1 and 6-2, 3-1 join 6-1&2, 3-1 its not under direct order of 6-1 and can't give order to 6-2, but 6-1&2 can aks help to 3-1 or 3-1 can ask one of 6-1 or 2 or 6-1&2 help for every objective or if A10C meet enemy aircraft he can ask help to closer F-15 formation, that will open the inter flying group communication, need assistance, help for navigation, SAM or AAA level in area (where the aircraft with who we talk is), request for rejoin formation and more. Imagine the level of realism if AI formation of transport helicopter ask in one player to kill a Shilka or if we are on the same frequency we hear formation of AH64 or A10 ask help for killing a bandit (for example) Another thing will be the possibility to take off with the wingman, the full formation of 4 aircraft or more. A Good thing with AI will be the possibility to not flying so conventionally, imagine AI F15 do an high G turn between waypoint or for join formation, the possibility to set, in mission editor speed to auto in several waypoint with desired arrival time like "between 15:23 and 15:37", and add to manual speed option like : slow speed, cruise speed, max without or with afterbutner Or AI going crazy after end of mission, like when all enemy as been killed A10C or helicopter formation flying really low, the possibility to set in mission editor altitude to auto in several waypoint, in real life pilot will profit of flight when the mission its over, imagine how many that will be funny and realistic if in turn we see like in real, the 4 aircraft of the formation turn one after one and not always together, or leader turn right and wingman left with radio order like : break formation - left and RTB. Or the best possibility, imagine in formation with wingman, we use radio option for free formation (aleatory formation adding by default and possibility to add new made by modder), imagine for example AI wingman decide to flying to our right wing, really close and beside, after several minute he decide to flying just behind and below us, really close like for confound radar signature, and we ask him fire at enemy tank with maverick, it will stay in formation (if we flying heading to target) and not leave formation, strike and back. And if he kill the enemy tank he do a victory roll with flares, that will be really nice to see that AND realistic cause real pilot do that too. The possibility to firing together, imagine radio command for: every aircraft of the formation firing missile together "firing with me", all firing when the leader open fire (with a correct delay like 1 or 2 second max), that can be nice to see and useful for synchronize attack in every SAM or AAA in one pass and realistic. And with that we can do like the formation of 5 A10C firing maverick together in the official trailer... About AI another good think will be, the possibility to be NOT the leader of the flight, imagine how that can be fun, or just realistic to be a flight element, receive order from leader AI and target with spi broadcastor, we will not need to follow another aircraft flight for do formation flight in simple player mode and that can be really useful for training flight... But a lot of things need to be added, turbulence effect when another aircraft cross us trajectory cause in real little aircraft and helicopter can be crashed by that... Just adding a drag effect, i don't ask to can see the effect on dirt, smoke, cloud and other (even if that can be extremely nice) but the effect on other aircraft its not only for fun... Please ED be the first to change things about air sim... Sorry for my bad English and the long post.
  5. Hi, i make this post cause i want to talk about the graphic engine of DCS. This graphic engine is one of the best of graphic engine in the world of the simulation, yeah, but...Simulation graphic engine are really bad compare to other graphic engine... Anytime in simulation, simgame and game with plane, graphics are really bad... And the worst, that need very powerful computer for working and it still lag at maximum settings... Ok i know a lot of people don't need big visual rending for like it, but half of other need it for immersion and i think its important to not forget it, if we have great graphic engine people for who visual its don't matter can use it with minimum graphics settings and have more fps and for other people at maximum. Simulation = realism, realism for flying model, avionic AND visual, and even if people not need it for immersion, its nice to see good things, they can profit... Well, what i have against sim graphics engine and what is, for me, the solution ? First we are supposed to embody a pilot or any human eyes and not a camera, in external view the size effect its bad, when we look against carrier or big ship that look like a extremely small think, like a plastic model and the fact that the camera its limited at 3m over the ground and can't come close to the object reinforce that, but that really bad cause the most advanced 3D model are really nice with a lot of details but we can't appreciate it cause of small object effect... But some 3D model and texture are really bad like infantry or trees... The new pilot model in the cockpit of MI-8MT and E-2D are really nice like that : http://hpics.li/22f18ad and its really hard to see it cause by small effect, the fact that the shopper move and cause the cockpit glass are not invisible, and infantry look like that http://hpics.li/9eb8786 Note that the camera it this screenshoot its closest possible and at the minimum ground height and i don't talk about the horrible ground texture... What is the solution ? FPS graphics engine...Why ? Cause FPS, First Person Shooters graphics engine are made give impression of human size. well a lot of people will told me, its not appropriate for flight sim/game... Are you sure ? Another example with Operation Flashpoint : And we can save a lot of fps with distance atmosphere effect like we can clearly see it in this video : For low altitude, the speed fuzzy effect and the shot distance of view will help for winn a lot of FPS and for medium and high altitude ground imagery by satellite can be perfect (like tileproxy in flight simulator X) cause i prefer loose 5Go of HDD space and obtain extreme graphics effect and a lot of persons too, for people who don't want, well they can disable it and/or don't download the texture complement... And if you use algorithm for generate house, tree and (i have imagine the concept) terrain autogenerate by software using cartography data, satellite imagery and road/railway data, you don't will have to (re)create everything... Vapor its nice to see but that can hide something like in real, in dogfight when we have an enemy at us 6 and its hide by vapor, that add difficult... Another example... The new "simulator" Take on Helicopter... It use Arma 2 engine, its work and the visual its nice. And why ED have delete the pilot that we have (and we can hide if we need) from DCS Black Shark ? Another important thing can be to really see bird for try to avoid it when we cant or for really can make the difference between bird strike and AAA or simple engine problem or anything else.. Same thing for show cockpit glass frost, its add difficulty and realism, same for dirt and oil (oil effect by any smoke), and mainly, humidity and drop of water by rain, cloud and contrail.   6. DCS F-15 Silent Eagle !!!!!! Anyway, F-16 will have new version for exportation, F-15 too with the Silent Eagle, the F-35 will coming into active service, F-18 will have modernization with a project like Silent Eagle. A lot of new things will coming !!!
  7. Same for me, i want it too, its bad when we have a lot of skin and we don't know it by the name, that can really be helpful, and same for payload for example : rockets !!! I never know what i put on my wing, 3D and description directly without need to search long time in encyclopedia and maybe not found it will be nice ! And about payload !!! the possibility to choose 1 by 1 what we want carry since ground rearming miss too !!! But things that game/software creator have forget its : Its better to give choice, for people who want it, well this option can be nice and for people who don't want, its simple, a option for disabled it ! ALWAYS give the choice to people who will buy !!! Its better to give so much option maybe never used by majority cause little list of option with only the minimum will just be bad for a lot for people...

Hardcore sim with Intruder can be nice but we meet again the twoseats problems and its so old, if ED have a contract with USAF or Navy like i think...Army don't want to training pilot for old aircrafts. But if ED give to community the possibility to ADD new aircraft without replacing existing model AND give to us the possibility to make a full aircraft (a lot of people can make it with realistic avionic and more) for future integration, ED can for free obtain 90% of the work for a new aircraft and if ED they had done we could now flying with F14 F16 MIG29 SU27 SU33 and maybe a lot of aircraft made by a lot of fan working together with the maximum of data from internet, ED just will have to finalize it and win 4 aircraft or more for make 4 new DCS without loose so many time and maybe with multiplayer compatibility, ED will win money and we will win new aircraft for hardcore simulation. Imagine : DCS Black Shark, DCS A10C Warthog, DCS Community F-14 Tomcat, DCS Community F-16 Falcon, DCS Community, MIG-29 Fulcrum, DCS Community SU-27 Flanker and more and maybe before the next official DCS, depending of number of fan for single model, we can have 1 or 2... That can be nice and like that you can have your Intruder ^^ And several good programmer can make super IA for multiseat adaptation, and take again the AH-64 idea and why not the MIL 24/35. Community can too create new effect like the vapor effect like we ask since SO long time, new explosion effect and more...

F-16 can be nice but ED alway do dual engine aircraft and that can cause problem with Falcon's player with a lot of people will say : in falcon we don't do like that and that is different and more problem and actualy FreeFalcon and OpenFalcon its not dead... F-15 A and B its so old, C and D its so limited and E its multiseat and so modern i think and twoseat can cause problem BUT maybe ED want to do an air superiority aircraft only and not a multirole and the C can be done...Or maybe the E with good IA for the second seat like JTAC ^^, possibility to be pilot or copilot and two player during multiplayer, but i don't think so. And F/A-18C its really nice, single seat, multirole, why not carrier OP, look SU33 in FC2, ED just need to improve realism for carrier without necessity to make a ship simulator and maybe if avionic data can be use we can expect a F-18E, the multiseat its the F, the E its a singleseat and anyway we can be spoil for a lot of thing about the radar without know it, like actualy the A10C the military version of this simulator its not exactly the same... And for the next if only we have one day, that depending i think, if we have a F16 the next will be an MIG 29 if we have F15 the next will be a SU27 and if we have a F18 the next will be a SU33, but maybe a full version of SU-25 before Russian's multirole for equilibrate the A10C presence and why not too an helicopter for equilibrate the KA50 (AH64 maybe) Anyway if air refueling aircraft with probe and drogue are added we can suppose that the next will be an F/A-18 Hornet, and ED make military simulator with, after, civil adaptation, IDK for the next but for the A10 its that, and if its the same, army don't need to train pilot for old aircraft (A10C version its coming since 2006 and will be replaced only for 2028, F16 its now used a lot for exportation, and F15 have a new version with the Silent Eagle, but carrier training with multirole (F/A) can be usefull for the futur F-35, but maybe before end 2012 government will disclose a lot of secret aicraft with incredible performance and F22 F35 and other can be done in simulation cause this technology can be classified at obsolete... The best way to know it, its to wait...

No, really, the next must be a F/A-18 Hornet C/(D?) and maybe E/(F?), i know the E is modern but the C version of the A10C is modern too...And anyways DCS its have a military version first, the civil coming after and USAF/Navy want to training pilot for modern aircraft ^^ Carrier OP can be perfect, and ED make a new boat for the next patch, well, maybe... :p But Hornet and carrier can't be doing without realistic ground crew, high alpha and vapor on wings like this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fo3owHXK9r8 in very humid day an aircraft don't need to turn at 9g (7g maximum for Hornet) for obtain vapor, and the wings of the Hornet are so flexible...
  12. Hi, I think the possibility to adding "ghost" in .trk can be nice for a lot of things. I'm explain... The possibility to flying like we want, make a .trk and flying again in another aircraft in the same .trk . Like other player is recorded in multiplayer. That can be nice for formation flying training, training himself to buddy lasing, making video cause if we adding multiple ghost in a single track we can obtain the possibility to make a good movie with aerobatic or tactical air maneuver or anything else that we can't really do in multiplayer cause of lag, other player going crazy or if we don't find so many people or the possibility that other player can't do what we want cause its too hard or cause he prefer do differently... With possibility to set the ghost at "no interaction" mode where IA don't react, the actions of the original track will not be changed, just add a second aircraft. And better, the possibility to set the ghost to AI track in a mission (single or MP), that can be perfect for do nice mission cause simple IA can't flying like a player or a real pilot. And like say in this thread : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=79962 the possibility to rewind or "jump" at one time of the track like a movie player. And too, a better .trk system cause, for me, when i look my replay my aircraft never take off cause i see it turning on grass and be blocked, and i think i'm not the only one... I prefer have biggest .trk files with detailed information to actual cause sometime if we do a close formation flying with wingman and AAA firing at us, the wingman can be destroy but in the .trk both aircraft are sometime destroy or error like that...

  13. You can imagine that it is the reaction time of the pilot, like if your flight copy what you have say, select waypoint to the base and check the radio frequency before talk with you for confirm it cause in real life you cant do it really instantaneously.

You cant ? ah :/ Really Copter with AH-64 Or maybe French's Tiger cause we have only Russian and US Aircraft/copter for the moment...Why not the old but beautiful and not less powerfull AH-1 or MI-24 If Aircraft F/A-18E and F or Mig29/SU-27 SU-30, Typhoon *-* (i know the Typhoon is so resent) I prefer F/A-18E/F ^^

I think, adding ground operation with atc can be nice for realism, for example the ATC say us which parking we get or give us a choice, if we get to stop in the taxiway crossing by another aircraft, that can optimize how AI acts on the ground and fix collision or blocking situation, that will improve realism and fix AI problem in same time. Like that we can takeoff WITH wingman after ramp-start, cause for the moment for take off with the wingman we get to start the mission "in runway" because he wait that we have takeoff... Nice option with ATC can be Emergency Landing, for example if we use it with damaged aircraft, fire or other, firetruck will wait us close to the runways in middle and in the side and when we exit the runway (for grass's crash or taxiway) with engine stopped or if we have do a landing crash, with ground menu, we can ask for firetruck coming close to us and with a little visual effect (or not) he can fight the fire or prevent internal fire with water-canon like in real, that can be really fun/nice and improve realism in emergency situation. Other radio option (after Ground and Emergency) can be for the wingman, imagine your wingman have taking little damage and loose payload...If we told him to RTB he just get to land and stop the plane. Option like : Land and... _Rearm _Refuel _Repairer _Recover (all 3) _Wait Can be really useful About payload, i think nice think can be the possibility to add 10 personal payload (F1 to F10) per mission for rearming, that can really useful when we ask rearming to ground crew cause sometime we don't find what we want, that can eventually work for 2 type, normal or heavy, we can selected big only if we have less that 75% off fuel for example... Same options for wingman will be nice. And why not showing ground people like crew chief for coming in or out the taxiway ground power generator and soldier close to the aircraft like i have see it in training mission of DCS (for the soldier) Edit: Sorry i want mean: Rearm, Refuel, Repair...
  16. F22 with supercruise and vectorial thrust can be really nice, same for F35 with vertical take off... BUT !!! Stealth technology, moderns weapons secret data that a big wall AND !!! if only one modern aircraft its adding, any modern aircrafts must be addind too like French's Rafale, Russian's Su-35/37 Mig 35, modern weapons and more... F/A-18E can be really nice with carrier operations and why not adding F/A-18F (biplace version) cause i think a lot of people want to flying alone in the plane but so many want maybe try too to fly with a copilot in multiplayer or with AI, that can be fun and nice. And that can be nice to have 2 vertion of te same aircraft like SU-25 and SU-25T And the Hornet its fun cause he can flying really slow and with hight AOA. And that can be a good occasion for adding more US and Russian carrier but too French British and more with Super-Etandard and AV8 Harrier... and more combat ship... Just, look what happen with the wings of the Hornet when he turn... The wing of the Hornet is really flexible, please add this effet if you do an Hornet ! =)

Nice idea, and add little video (or a simple animed.gif) in weapon info in the encyclopedia or more than one image for show weapon, how use it, effect and for what type of target the weapon is the best, for exemple short video/gif of A10C firing maverick in tank or AAA gun in little dive and breaking before be at tank/AAA gun's range... DCS's users can made short video and ED can selected if, that can do a nice think and ED have only to selecting the best video and not loosing time to do it =) I think link from playload (in weapons info that Squid talking about) of selectioned weapon to encyclopedia can be nice too if we want advanced info without try to find it since long time... Advanced info can be for weapons that the A10C can take, DSMS possibility, which station modes or more...
