  1. If the next aircraft will be an F/A-18 or any carrier capable jet fighter, a country with open sea will be nice like Morocco, Senegal, Somalia, South Africa, Mexico, or the Argentina. If its not, the Libya, Iraq, or Afghanistan.

Nice idea but you can modified in the mission editor your mission file for set the first waypoint in flight close to the objective or if you fail to the mission but want to take off you can using closer airport. But if you talk about the Crash RCVR for an option for spawn where you are die or where you are 5 minutes before (for example) its a great idea cause anyways crash RCVR option its not realist, of course, and that don't will change a lot of things for realism to add this option, but its nice cause we don't will loose long time. And i think its not hard to do cause we can start a mission in flight actually and that's not change against crash RCVR, its not needed to save, you just continue the flight by taking a new aircraft.

If ED give us a SDK we can be able to see a lot of new aircraft (ans several units), new for AI like diferent version of actual but too the aircraft that ED don't have made and new "playable" and maybe too, new hardcore like fan will made F16 with Falcon 4 data, or the AH-64 with Combat Helo data, maybe transport, awacs, tanker and why not civil aircraft and chopper too and more possibility...

And for information i have already talk about my idea with a good programmer, he have say to me its a very simple solution based on a minimal number of polygon and a simple and single HD texture by object with possibility to use real photography (photorealism render) without need Anticrénelage or Tesselation but with a good chance to work with a minimal of power BECAUSE its a simple idea and the rest of the power will be using for light, reflection, effect and other, i'm not stupid i have check if that can work before talk about. Now admin please can you close and delete this thread, i don't have create it for see stupid joke and total disrespect close to insult !
  5. I have made one in wish list cause i wish a better graphic engine... And the other to Simulation Research cause i have several idea and i will work soon to a non-conventional graphic engine capable to show real photorealistic graphic render with a minimal of power and in real time and the distance its not a problem with it, the limitation of my idea can be bad for FPS game but for simulation, strategy game, car, boat and other simulator its not a problem, the idea its really simple and based to actual technology and knowledge, nothing magic. But now that i see so people who DON'T want to change things and want to still with actual...bad graphic engine for every flight software, simulation and game, i prefer with a good programmer make a demo and i don't will (like i wanted to do) give free my idea for people who finally don't want that, or just say that them don't want that and maybe after make a demo software people will see the potential of better graphic rending and like always after have say : "actual is great we don't need more" will want it, its how people work... But its just a project for the moment, realist with maybe a great potential, i will see. I why i have make two threads and now its useless and anyway the second will be delete. =)

Yes that can be nice bun i think we don't need 3E snow for make tracks or blowing it, look at FSX the snow its not in 3D, we just need a little texture like the actual black tracks when we turn hard, and for blowing it just an effect like when we flight close to the ground the dirt effect, or like FSX with the engine do it. And yes its too much to ask i think... With an SDK a lot of people will be able to do that cause i think ED will never do it , its too much eye candy for them i think...

I know the French version ^^ "Les grands esprits se rencontrent (great minds meeting)" And yes its a good idea, we can be able to do a lot of things with that, including when ED make an sdk be able to transform a maneuver into a script for learn it to IA without need to write wince long time a .lua, its more faster and better, but for training its nice too, or for everyone who make video...

  9. In real life you learn to walk before learn to run, its more based on this idea. And real pilot will learn emergency procedure before anything cause first time = big risk of error and fail, and new pilot can have an accident during take off and learn to stop the aircraft first will help for: one, if the pilot have an accident or need to abort to not panic by don't know what's do and lets the aircraft crash or add error to critical situation, and two, make a little training for the last step : landing, cause at landing pilot don't have right to error that's can be fatal, and before go at the take off speed stop at 75 knot or below will help the pilot in the first flight for familiarization with take off rolling cause more faster than that for rectifying trajectory pilot can unfortunately over turn, leave the runway and crash on grass, below 45 before turn off NWST the pilot don't take many risk cause the speed can permit to break fast, correct trajectory and be safe and if he loose the control the aircraft not will hit the grass at fatal speed. Don't forget that for several first flight follow a right trajectory on the runway its not easy and the first of its the source of a lot of crash, look during WW2 how many pilot are die during take off training, aircraft have evolved but the risk are not gone. And anyway we must learn aborted take off one day or another and learn it soon as possible its better ^^ And included training mission are nice but not really realistic cause in a single seat when we take off in real life we must landing after and we don't will do that in 3 part (3 different flight)

Hey, i think the possibility to adding several options during flight can be nice and can give to ED a lot of possibility for the future and when an SDK will be available a lot of people can add several things. Options and informations that i wish to see : Keymap and possibility to change the keymap. I think with the actual graphic engine and other we can't change during flight a lot of options like graphic settings, realism and more, but maybe some of can be change like labels, crash RCVR, radio assist, maybe the easy radio too and more. Sound lvl options can be useful too. For other options that we can't change, just the possibility to see it (don't mask or delete it, just disable) can be useful for a lot of things if we don't remember the actual setting and for any reason we need to know it. Buts that's not all, cause possibility to see encyclopedia can be useful too. And another thing too, possibility to create fast custom profile of loadout for rearming, just new radio option for : rearm with custom profile...And the list. Custom profile can be nice and possibility to change and edit can be really useful if custom loadout don't be good for the mission that we will use or for multiplayer if for the mission one or several weapons must to not be use... The possibility to have a little help by consulting official (and maybe other too) manual can be nice, possibility to read any .pdf files put into a specific folder, and for not use 100% of processor by opening a big .pdf like A10C manual, possibility to read it like only one but in several part or possibility to see the same in several part with subcategory (for avoid to see 50 part of a single .pdf and need to search during flying and maybe during emergency the pdf that we need) cause in real life pilot have a manual with emergency procedure, several of it in .pdf that's we can read fast (with minimal of details, just with principal things to do) in a emergency situation can be useful and a lof of people of community can do it. And maybe the possibility to open a second pdf menu but transparent and with only emergency pdf and too the possibility to click any cockpit's buttons through and with a little area (like right down corner for example) where we have the basic command for the PDF reader can be useful for fast do the emergency procedure without loose time to close and open after for every step cause in real life for manual inside aircraft the pilot just have to look the manual and look at the panel, and same for aircraft without manual inside, pilot just ask to tower/airbase the procedure (a lot of time happen) but just after ear what do he do that and not loose precious time... A lot of other things can be nice like adding several AI flight or change the flight of one if for example by a bug he be lost and not follow the route (i have already see that) or test trigger, correct it and more things that's can be useful for do a correction without restart, if that's work for multiplayer several things like adding new player aircraft can be nice for example, or possibility to change weather, that's just will slowly change with realist transition from actual to future, possibility to add failures in real time and more... And maybe the possibility to use all of this option for editing mode, possibility to use mission editor with launcher AND with the 3D application, that's can be nice for everyone who want a 3D editor and for testing if the trigger, the flight or other will work without need to wait 5 minutes the time that's we stop the simulator, we editing it and we restart and observe it again. Obviously the editing mode must be different to the flight mode by administrator/editor possibility, no compatibility with multiplayer and all possibility of actual mission editor, and things like possibility to change weather without transition and more...
  11. +1 but not only that, we miss a lot of things Ground crew miss too, not only visual bug only 4 options its not really nice, we miss a lot of things like wheel chocks, cause for big wind the aircraft will moving before we finish the startup, we miss the guy who help us for check the control surface cause with random failure that can stop to work and in internal view we can't see the rear (and a simulator must be done for internal view, before i hear: use external view), the guy who guide us, for take off its just eye candy but for landing, when we never know where coming that's can be nice and more and more and more... We miss the windsock its true, we miss a lot of things in airport...
  12. Nice, and anyway i think adding rain effect will help to make more easily the frostbite effect cause both have a rapport with weather and canopy, several files will maybe be using by both ^^

Hey, i will show you my idea of tutorial, its more for people who beggin and for the first flight but that can be useful for everyone i think I want to know what you think about, don't hesitate to complete it or correct what i have say : (long post) I think the best way its : Use an A10C without any load (no weapons/pod/gun) in a clear day with little wind, don't try without wind for the first time cause after that will be more harder for learn with wind the second time but a little wind its advise, this tutorial have the advantage to be done with a single mission without restart it or wait long time during phase, but i just say when do the step its not a tutorial for learn how do the step, its more general. First learn and do start up and turn off the A10C and learn one by one what is the function of the button/switch that we use, repeat it without any video or document and when its correct, the first step its done. After that learn advanced start up with more check list and hud customization. After that, stay on ground and learn to use the basic HOTAS function with hud and left MFCD with map for basic easy navigation. Ask authorization to the tower for rolling and training to taxiway rolling with correct light turn on and correct speed. Go to runway, wait the authorization for take off turn on/off correct light, align to the runway and do an aborted take off just after turn off the nosewheel ST and at 75 know (before the middle of the runway) set the throttle to minimal, deploy airbrakes full, use slowly wheel break and turn on again nosewheel ST below 50/45, you are at the other side of the runway, do it again for correct alignment with wind, its better to profit of the travel for training again, after that do a normal take off, climb at (for example) FL 100 (10000 feets). Now training to basic flight maneuver, don't care about the waypoints, first learn to using trims command with something like 80/85% of throttle, when the speed and the pitch of the aircraft are stabilized, without touch throttle, try to follow a single altitude and keep wings at horizontal, reduce throttle and try to maintain altitude with trim (don't be below 200 knot if you can), now use full throttle and trim your aircraft again for maintain altitude, keep aircraft at full throttle and without touch trim make a basic turn, first with 20/25° roll (right or left, no matter) and do a 360° turn, if you have one connected to your computer use rudder for maintain correct turn yaw attitude, after, do the same thing by turning at the other side, after that, do the same thing with 45° and after with 75° roll, after do a last right and left turn with 20/25° roll but with 80/85% of throttle when you starting (before begin wait that the speed are stabilized and trim your aircraft) and do it again but now adjust the throttle during the turn for try to keep the same speed, now back to 80% throttle and learn to climb and dive with 10/15° with the same speed by adjusting of the throttle, after that do again a 20/25° roll turn but with 10/15° pitch for example right and up and after left and down, keep the same speed and the same inclination, after that go ahead to closest waypoint (or the first if its not so far) and learn to use the 3 mode of autopilot during travel, follow several waypoints (don't create mission with big distance between waypoints) try to follow correct route, speed and altitude. Now back to airport, make an aborted approach, 2 or 3 time for learn correct approach, after that do an aborted approach and for the last don't abort before be close to the runway something like 500 feet, just before be over the threshold of the runway. Now training to touch and go, set full throttle just after the wheel have touching the ground, and climb, do the same thing 2 or 3 time. Now do again a touch and go but on the ground keep throttle to minimal, airbrakes open and the nose of the aircraft at 10° up, don't use wheel break and at the middle of the runway set the flaps to middle position, close the airbrakes and full throttle for climb again. Now last training before landing, go at middle altitude, like 2000/3000 feet at landing speed (130 knot, don't go below 110 or you stall) with deploying full airbrakes, full flaps and landing gear. Its hard but try to maintain the same speed and the same altitude, and when you master that, do the same thing but at low altitude (not extremely low, more like 200/300 feet), over the runway and try to don't lets the wheel touch the ground, do it several time and the last time try to do an "aerobatic" climb, keep the same pitch angle, full throttle close airbrakes, flaps and gear up. And now just make a simple landing, go to parking and turn off the aircraft, if you want do more time that and now you master a 100% the basic flight, if you do it several time, for the last time do it again with loadout (but don't use it) and you can now learn advanced flight maneuver and navigation and after learn to set parameter of weapons/strike and combat. First time for strike training load the aircraft with training weapons for improve realism. Explain : First you must learn to start up the aircraft cause its the first step that you must have to do, for training you must do it several time and learn the turn off the aircraft its useful for learn it and keep learn to start aircraft without restart mission, after learn custom start will improve your knowledge of the aircraft and you will find yourself the best way for you to start safely, fast and with custom step the aircraft. Learn the HOTAS basic use with map and navigation its useful for the flight that you will do, its better to know it before take off, taxi rolling will training you for follow a right trajectory on the ground (useful during take off) and its better to learn when turn on/off which light during start up, taxi and landing soon as possible cause after you will learn a bad things and its hard sometime to correct that... Learn how abort take off must be learn before take off for obvious reasons and you will learn to follow a right trajectory at high (ground) speed, you must take off front of wind and this training have make travel you at the other side of the runway, where the wind coming back of you, for travel faster and useful the runway its better to do again the exercise, after just take off and climb where you can learn the maneuver without risk to stall close to the ground and keep a safe altitude if your maneuver make you loose altitude and you must learn how to flight before learn how to navigate or other, before combat training you must learn advanced maneuver including stall and stall exit. And the order of the maneuver its important, trim its really important you will always use it, its the first to learn, you must learn to follow single altitude before learn to turn at single altitude, learn to turn slow before learn to turn hard, after that become harder, learn to turn with fixed speed and after with fixed speed and altitude and before learn to turn with fixed speed with climb or dive, learn to still at fixed speed with just climb or dive, and when you master turn its more easy to learn to turn with fixed speed than learn to climb and dive with fixed angle and speed. After that you must need to learn to follow a route when you navigate, and during the travel learn to use and know how work the autopilots will be nice for waiting to rejoin the first waypoint, you not will wait without do anything and the ALT mode (mode for keep turning rate at the same altitude) must be using in last and help you to align with the trajectory between the waypoint that you coming to and the next, just before that, the PATH mode will help you to coming at the altitude that you want for follow waypoints. Learn visual approach must be done before ILS (ILS its an advanced navigation) cause for do ILS approach you must have to know how to land before. The landing its the most critical phase and the harder for some pilot, you must learn to go away if something goes wrong before simply land, you will practice approach and abort at the same time, after, when you master approach how to touch its the next step and touch and go its the best way for learn that, and before learn the touch and go you must learn the final approach moment (the 500 feet), its just when you are over the threshold when, for land you must use minimal throttle and pitch up (500 feet its a example and a maneuver safely area, don't abort at the next time cause its a training and don't do it prematurely cause that will be easy and you don't will learn more than hight altitude "hight for landing phase" aboard) and learn to abort at the last moment its, important and will help you do learn to approach correctly cause far of the runway that can look like a perfect approach and the landing can be finally bad at the last moment. Touch and go its nice cause you will just for touch and go ahead want to touch more slowly than a simple landing and the area where we glide before touch its not matter cause we have a full runway for do that and before learn to land, learn to touch the ground slowly its better and safely, after the long touch and go will training for try to land without eat big runways area before touch and will help for learn how to loose speed without using break (if that don't work if something goes wrong during real landing), and before using break you must slow down a little and the must important part of the training its to learn to keep a nice angle during rolling. The next training will help for more sweet landing, close to kiss landing and at 2000/3000 feet over the runways the risk are minimal, but over the runway at low altitude its more harder but its more easy to see the altitude over the runway with more precision and this training will help for master a nice landing by mastering the glide before touch the runway cause maintain a fixed altitude its more harder than glide slowly for land, and at the last pass over the runway do the "aerobatic" climb will help for learn to keep the same pitch angle and its nice to do that, its more like a reward in the training i think and finally do a nice first landing its the suite of the reward. But its MY training its not an universal or an perfect training, its just for my the better way to learn the basic flight and a lot of pilot including people who master since long time DCS A10C can finally learn and more master flight after follow that.
  14. Anyway if the rain effect will do the Black Shark 2 the A10C will have this effect too. Actually make 3D rain/snow will be nice cause its not, when we turn the camera we see the rain/snow fall but at the same trajectory not relatively to the ground but to the camera, that follow it, 3D or the same visual effect but in a 360° sphere...

For the first screenshot we just need a photorealistic (why not with google earth) ground texture cause actually the color are not realistic but for middle and hight altitude we don't really need to change the resolution of the texture, just the texture itself. And for the second screenshots its more a light color problem, actually the sea are not bad, same thing for the cloud we have not perfect but correct cloud and with HDR the sun effect are nice but missing reflexion on aircraft cause that look plastic for the moment, the sky color are not perfect too but still correct and bad thing i think (but i'm not sure) cloud will not become dark at sunrise, but i need to test it but i'm not remember even see that in DCS.
  16. I know i say that a lot actually but i think the best way for make a lot of mods its that ED make an SDK that just will resolve every problem and give us infinite mods and addons possibility including ADDING (and not replace only) new aircraft and a lot of things =)

  19. @EtherealN Yeah its a bad optimization problem cause you are not the only one with a simple "old" computer who can using DCS with nice fps and i'm not the only one with powerful computer who have a bad fps, i have made a test and for the same scene i have already see (thats bad its only for a single scene during presentation of the A10C and not always) : Maximum graphic settings scene with more fps than the same scene with minimal graphic setting, that just bad... Outerra its a graphic engine with little physic incomparable and i talk about graphic engine and not about full software, FSX its not made for combat and look the new VRS Superbug who can using weapons, Arma 2 its not made for radio simulation and i have a a single people make an addon for simulate where the radio can receive. I just talk about the graphic engine of Outerra and not about any full software. Can you talk me more about the buffer program plz ? And yes but flexible screen don't exist since long time and projector its not free, that's need big room and this people will not be sad if they can have a full canopy field of view. The only thing that i see its other software can do better (sometime including too the distance like Outerra where we can see more far away) without using top secret or alien technology, that's all... And its exactly what i say and the first thing that i don't like about the graphic engine, if even less powerful graphic card can obtain good fps, why more powerful graphic card don't be better like any other software (and i don't talk about other game and EVERY software including 3D software) and the CPU don't have big impact about graphic engine. You talk about graphic engine like if its the same thing than physic engine and other software configuration, i'm sorry but you can't told me that i don't understand and say that, graphic engine have ONLY on impact to graphic render its why we see the same big graphic engine using for several game with totally different physic, AI, script and more. Yeah but i have never see it and a lot of time with camera hacking or simple bug i have see under the ground for a lot of various game and software and okey maybe some title do that but you do like me and compare DCS with other game and i have never see in for Crysis but this game its a perfect example of bad optimization, it eat more power than (for example) Battlefield 3 and BF3 are better for graphic rending, like DCS graphic engine and Outerra... And with this "trick" or not DCS graphic engine eat so many power and its not optimized with graphic card, mainly for more powerful actual CG cause with completely minimal graphic setting i (and many other) don't have correct fps that still low and the problem don't come from my computer who can use any other 3D application with correct fps i don't lag... I have the box of LOMAC in my eyes right now its write compatible with Dx 9.0b audio and in the CD i have DX9 suit and the same graphic engine can "update" for example Crysis 2 before the patch can only using DX9...And a lot of people (including people who know a lot of things in programming) have told me that its the same graphic engine and anyways problem salved : ED work for a new graphic engine... And if anyone can told me more about the new graphic engine And where is the screenshots ? its the screenshots of Nevada ? Any link plz =) And yes sorry for the language barrier a need practice more the English, i canonly basicly talking for the moment :/ And anyways i don't ask to made graphic engine look like FPS or with extrem graphic render but something like we actually see in Grandsurf video will be perfect and better improvement with graphic card and maybe the new graphic engine taht ED make right now can do it. And thanks you for quote my entire post =) Anyways problem solved, we just must wait new graphic engine coming "soon" and maybe an SDK too for make more easily graphic and more addons and maybe can do for full map addon like Grandsurf and maybe too add new map. That was a very nice idea cause the informations on the thigh of a pilot can bu useful, if the briefing and several information about aircraft, weapons and mission will be show, that can really by useful and the gain of realism compare to the escape touch for see the briefing will be extremely nice and an option for disable that for people like Frostiken who don't want it can be nice =) Easy possibility to customize that with text and picture will be nice for single and multiplayer flight !

You can told me everything you want but i just see an evidence : With the MOST POWERFULL computer configuration today we still lagging, low FPS that was horrible, kill every immersion and give headache, and the result ? not the same but really less render than other graphic engine like Outerra, Outerra who need a GTX460 for MAXIMUM setting about what i have see and DON'T lag, if only DCS engine will correctly work with actual graphic card...But that lag and for bad result... Its nice for ED that you defending the graphic engine but don't forget yourself the fact, today its simply impossible to make cockpit for example cause try to make 360 or just 180° screen with DCS graphic engine just will kill every computer, and do full replica of a cockpit for use it with only one little screen its just bad and useless, and use flexible screen at the place of canopy and see 180° of graphic without need a NASA computer, THAT can be nice.. I'm using Eyefinity and its horrible for startup, on flight its correct but on airport that lag so many, i have bad FPS like 10/15 with a HD6970 graphic card (one of the most powerful actually), for what we see its just extremely bad, and if even in a single screen we can be able to use maximum graphic setting without "lagging close to the death with only 50% of GPU power using" or something like that... The fact is : that lag for nothing... The problem its with maximum graphic setting if even we can have it, the graphic engine still look bad compare to other like Outerra where we have NO PIXEL on the ground and where we can flight without lag and for NORMAL computer cause actually we almost need supercomputer for DCS graphic engine and without any SLI/Crossfire support its worst... And Outerra can do everything DCS Graphic engine do, but better, DCS graphic engine its NOT optimized, its hard to think it when we see how many power it need and stupid things like calculate water under ground, why the water need to be calculate over ALL the map area ? That just stupid, and if only that was the single mistake... But problem +problem + problem "and more and more" give a problematic result... DCS Graphic engine using DX9 but we actually are with DX11, that just have...several year of delay... If computer exist since 2000 year and ED have begin to create the first software 5 year after, they could still with the same graphic engine since 1995 years ? new "game" new graphic engine, its lot of time what every one do, but actually the graphic engine don't have changing since LOMAC and maybe before that, just..."optimized"... Don't told me that we can't have better cause its not true, we really can have and Outerra its the best example about that cause it actually do better and we can have better than Outerra in reality cause Outerra its optimized for SPACE simulation, showing full planet from orbit and space simulation need more sacrifice and more power than aircraft simulator... but like always people who don't want to ear the problem about graphic engine just will take a single little part of what i have wrote, the most easy thing to "kill" and forgot the rest...
  22. @Geskes Yes its exactly what i have say, for many people its only eye candy but for many other people its important for realism and for immersion and its really important, and if even we can have better graphic you will be happy too... And what you think about thing i have already say in another thread : what about stupid AI who can't avoid a stupid collision between two BIG plane coming slowly at collision course or make totally unrealistic ground strike procedure by strike, turning like a Boeing 747 with extremely long and quiet turn and do it again, a real A10C can make 3 strike pass by minute in DCS its more than 1 minute ("speed is life" its not only a simple expression without any sens, in dogfight its true and for military destroy more faster than possible target its too really important and can really change a lot of things in combat and simulation MUST be realistic) for only one target with bad choose of weapons with boring and unrealistic trajectory (and in real dangerous to flying quietly like that in combat situation) who can't correctly do AA refueling without every time collide with tanker on who can't land on carrier without make bug and deck collision, or when we strike at us just move 10 m away and wait to be killed, did you want to see improvement (just a simple question) ? @ all And anyways like Fifou265 have say in my other thread, what about Outerra ? (i knew it but i have forget since long time) Its the PERFECT example of NICE graphic for BIG (more than DCS) visibility range 3D model can be really detailed and complex (can make same cockpit than actual, not need better or maybe chance color cause that look a little plastic compare to real), its really adapted for simulation (air and space) tree are not bad and ground texture its close to perfect we have the impression of see 3D grass and the texture still in 2D and that NOT eat power like DCS cause with dual core cpu and old graphic car (recommended 8800GT and using for the video 460GTX) we apparently be able to obtain same graphic of every video of this graphic engine that we find on internet and with little tweak (like limited altitude or optimized for work below space edge of space cause until ED what to add cruise ballistic missile its useless) and graphic rending optimized for the maximum speed of the fastest object of the simulator (when we see in video that the camera can pass from low atmosphere to middle orbit in little seconds and travel at extreme speed over orbital speed (more than mach 20 its sure but i don't know how exactly and simulation for only one aircraft must be optimized for internal camera before think about external) we can be able with the same (and i insist i don't talk about ED buy this engine but make the same or closest with actual technology and knowledge and DX11) graphic engine we can be able to have the same thing but with better tree (maybe something between actual and what we see on Grandsurf's video), little 3D grass, nice building don't look like a box but without excessive 3D details and several 3D object like truck on airport, civil traffic, radar and more.
  23. @Sobek i just give idea that's all, i have never say that is easy and its not my work, and like i have say its useless to obtain extreme details like Arma 2 but nice compromise better than actual its possible. and I'M not asking for SDK a SEVERAL people ask it, i'm just actually talk more about it and i just have giving example, we can do several things with with .lua but the rest count too and word harder with only .lua only for make a Mod maybe not compatible with multiplayer its useless, but do the same thing for possible official integration and by the same way helping ED its better...Its stupid to refuse help i think... And if that will be easy to do it only with .lua why people (sometime who know programming and write .lua) don't do it and not ask it and know that it will maybe never do...?

Nice idea and if its do the general chat can maybe be touched and if it is i think possibility to show historic for ingame chat AND radiocommunication can be nice cause that miss we lost a lot of information !!! =) Nice idea Erdem !   25. @Sobek yes i understand, but we coming from object where we can see any details like house with every external and internal details where the complexity its extreme to the "object" in DCS with building look (and be) like a simple box with low resolution texture... And anyways 10km = 30000 Feet, cruise altitude of flight, at this altitude we DON'T see object and low relief in simulation AND in real. ED can make like Flight simulator, make disappear 3D object since where we don't see it (less than 10km) for trade with single photorealistic texture of the ground can be possible cause at low and middle altitude over 10km except high building we can't see the difference against 2D and 3D object, and the power saved by the same terrain than Arma 2 with divided complexity and loose a lot of detail like interior of house or extreme details and texture can be using for the simple 2D photorealistic map. I prefer have a bad transition effect but with nice graphic before and after that than actual, and if its well done with same position and color against 2D and 3D object/texture we will almost not see the difference and we can obtain better graphic... Actually the size effect make simulator have a false dimension and with correct size effect, where big object close of us not look little but realistic, with a good exploitation of that we can show at realistic way 10Km object and anyways try to give big view range are fail cause we don't see far like real life, well its useless to eat power and kill performance for make at final unrealistic thing... Its only an idea, don't kill me xD Anyways i have a good reason to think that soon computer will have a BIG revolution with extremely more powerful and faster hardware with CPU at THZ frequency, and when we will have it, the problem will be solved... @LostOblivion Yeah i agree but more important than change graphic engine or new 3D model or any eye candy, i have said it a lot of time : I think the most important thing that ED must have to make soon as possible its a SDK. Cause a lot of things that a lof of people ask will never be done for a lot of reason like ED don't want to loose time for several things or simply want but don't have the time or think its eye candy and not useful and more. With SDK every idea can be exploited make a better simulator with more possibility cause the "fan made" are often best than original and sometime we see extraordinary things. That can too solve a lot of problem, like people who will rewrite AI script cause actually DCS AI are EXTREMELY BAD and that not only eye candy or other that really important and we can obtain advanced air maneuver from AI, we can be able to adding better effect for explosion and adding (thing that we ask since LOOONG time) vapor effect on wings, ground crew and more... And most important thing, community already have contact with ED team (like exactly right now we talk with Sobek) for simple "game" that rare and ED can ask to the community to make a lot of things for them, we can have sometime really nice thing cause fan made are nice and ED can have more time for important things like correction of bug and problems, optimization and more and everything of that can help to adding more playable aircraft and ED can take several mods/addons and aircraft and make official things and give to ED really big and better commercial argument without need to give money for work and the time loosing for SDK will be really faster take back and at final give to ED more time.
