Just finished the campaign and I have to say its great! The only real issue I had at the end, that kind of pissed me off was when landing during mission 15 I was on final. Literally within 3nm, had gotten all the calls and all...and then I see another aircraft gently turn in front of me in its correct case 1 recovery pattern. Had to go around and almost crashed into him on deck because it was out of the blue. But as I said, I thoroghly have enjoyed all you campaings and this was no different. Thank you

I googled it for DCS and it seems this was requested once, years ago. With the growing interest of close air support TTPs, it would be nice for aircraft to be able to broadcast their sensor feed to a ground unit as they do IRL. Obviously this might potentially need a significant rework of how the TGPs are coded.

Thanks Bomb came off, JTAC heard the boom. Also visible on Tacview. Its just that the TTI went down to 30 and then stopped counting down. I don't think I remembered to say that before. The TTI stopped at 30sec. And from roughly 36sec it took 2-3sec for it to go down a number. So based on memory it took 12-18 actual secs for it to go from 36sec down to 30sec

Was playing in multiplayer and tried to conduct airstrikes guided by ground laser. After dropping the bomb, where the time to impact is usually displayed the countdown acted weird. The countdown went down, but slower than seconds. Almost like it was still displaying time to release and not time to impact. I can't think of anything I did different to what I usually do, but this is the first time this has happened. I'm playing on Steam version open beta. All for more helicopters, but I can't stop and think about how they'd fit in DCS World. I look at it from a multiplayer perspective, but even from a singleplayer one, I can see that a lot of modules don't see any love for campaigns officially. Now while there's custom missions online, they don't have the guarantee of a good experience. I assume modules get taken up as projects by studios (3rd party mostly) because something abstract about the aircraft incites enthusiasm within the dev team and that'll serve to keep up both motivation and discipline. But that something absract usually comes with a story and I feel like too few modules get sold along with that story. Long story short, create the module, sell the module, create a campaign inspired by that story and sell that to us too. So yes helicopters, but helicopters that fit into the mold that DCS currently provides. -

I want to make the FC3 F-15C HOTAS commands as true to life as I can. I've already managed to make the joystick paddle switch as intended by assiging different functions to the button's press & release. But now I'd like to add a condition to a binding. If gear are up the button activates FLOOD mode, if gear are down it works as NWS Hi-gain without triggering FLOOD mode. I've tried for hours now and I don't know if its a matter of the .lua not recognizing if else conditions at all or its just me butchering the format and still not recognizing the format. Can someone help me out? Thank you -

Also remember that SA-10s and the Big-boi Patriots were never meant to shoot down fighters. So them not shooting their telephone poles at highly maneuverable fighters would be ineffective and a waste of resources anyway, since the big rockets aren't as maneuverable and at max range would be low on kinetic energy. Air defenses are also purpose built, not as jack of all trades. So look into the Skynet. Another point is that we have 1970s-80s air defense in an arena where we fly mid-2000s aircraft. We don't have modern air defences in the game currently. Check out some of the mods. HighDigitSAMs should add modern SAMs, I believe. If you match the eras, they'll be a handful.

Don't know if this has been brought up yet, but... With the DTCs and mission planning features being developed. It would also be nice to have a preset kneeboard format, that fills out (automatically or manually if feasible) during the mission planning. That way your mission planning wouldn't only be in the flight computer, but also visible for yourself to reference.

I just read the book Viper Pilot and I know in the book they fly F-16CJs, BUT... The author describes using a HOTAS command in order to get a position request over datalink to his flight/wingman and hearing the datalink chirp when he received the position. Is that a thing in the CM or is it just not implemented yet or is it specifically not done? Thank you

Okay is it just me that's having this? Same issues in M14. Noble won't break off from Metal. It did the first time I played it (got shot down), second time this happens. Its like with M13, it only works once EDIT: M14 also has a non-applicable IFF code on the kneeboard. IFF is octal codes, but the kneeboard has it 1499, which you cannot input. -

I get it. If it makes you feel any better, even though I'll end up skipping this mission. Tops remarks on this campaign. Still love it. Something about this whole campaign. I can't put my finger on it. The atmosphere or something. It's just right. I love it. -

If you want I can give you my track files. One where Chevy 21 breaks off, but Twister doesn't destroy the SAMs and two track files where twister destroys the SAMs, but Chevy won't break off. -

So. Funny thing I'm playing it right now. On my third try. First try, CY21 broke formation as they needed to, but Twister failed to create desired effects, so got stuck at that point. Second and the current third Twister destroyed citadel, but CY21 does not brake formation -
