I had the same problem, but other posts fortunately already found a solution. In Black Shark 2 the communication menu \ only works when the KA-50 touches the ground. Once you are in air you have to use the key combaniation right ALT + \ then the communication menu appears. This only seems to be the problem in Black Shark

I would only buy X-Wing if they also develop the TIE Fighter :smilewink:

I have AMD R9 280 from Gigabyte and I don't have any problems running DCS modules. No crashes, no glitches.

This is unbelievable! I never though I would be picked! When I was a very small kid I had the chance to sit inside an old broken down Mig-21 that was being put on display in an abandoned old soviet barrack in Hungary. Now, thanks to the lucky draw I can click all the buttons in the cockpit as I used to :lol: Thanks again for Cichlidfan, JetBLASTER and to Leatherneck for making my day such a memorable one!

I have re-installed the game as an administrator and the campaigns work fine! Although what I suspect that the main problem was, that when I installed the game for the first time I also installed the patch for it. I have the English box version of the game and I suspect that the patch is for the Russian/downloadable version. I was reading on the forum yesterday that one of the ED members mentioned that the DVD version of FC 2 will contain the patch. Thus, I have installed the patch on the already patched version and I think that created all the problems in the campaign missions. So in the box version would be nice to mention in the installation guide or on the box that this game is already the 1.2.1 version. BUT for sure installing the game as administrator and updating especially my Nvidia driver helped :)! As I tried the campaign right after the fresh install and the game crashed after 45 min or so. After updating my drivers this problem did not re-occur. So thank you Distiler for helping out!

Thanks for the fast reply! I have checked for error and crash logs and I had a few, so I have them attached to this post. Also attached my DxDiag file. For the controls, the option "use these options for all missions" was already checked before I tried out the Su-25 campaign.In the Campaign "Revanche" (also a Su-25 mission), there all the control works, so that is strange that only in the Cold War Warrior campaign the above mentioned controls (keys) don't respond.... I did not install the game as an administrator, so I will re-install the game as advised and keep you guys posted if I have any changes DxDiag.txt Error and Crash logs.zip

Hi Guys! First of all thank you guys for making this sim! I was waiting for the Lock On sequel since 2006! So as soon the DVD version came out I bought it and everything working well, except the campaigns... :( The F-15 campaign crashed right at the beginning of the second mission (when you need to escort an transport plane). After 3 seconds everything froze up, and I had to press ctrl+alt+delete to get back to windows. The Mig-29 campaign, I believe at the fourth mission (when you need to do a fighter sweep for a SEAD mission to destroy the enemy's communication building), after successful completion of the mission, I landed and everything, thus clicked the button to finish the mission. After that the game froze and again needed to press ctrl+alt+delete to go back to Desktop. This time there was an error window showing Runtime error in the simulator.exe. And the funny thing is that the game only crashes when the mission was successful. If I end the mission when it is not completed, then the game doesn't crash. I have the same problem with the Su-27 campaign at the second mission. Again, only have the Runtime error if the mission was successful. Finally on the Su-25 campaign (the one with the Cold War scenario) the controls of the SU-25 doesn't want to respond. I can close the cockpit window, start both engines, and the communication menu button also working, but the buttons/keys for changing flaps, raising the gear and the command (Shift+O) to activate the laser do not respond. This is very strange, because in the Quick Mission option when I fly the Su-25, all these commands on the keyboard works. I have tried to re-assign the keys and assign these commands also to my joystick, but no effect... I did not try out the other campaigns yet..... I did not see anyone posting any problems with the campaigns, so I wonder if I'm the only one with these problems. Or the others really love to create their own missions and they haven't tried out the campaigns yet ;) I'm using an Acer Aspire laptop with Nvidia 8600mGT and 2.2 Ghz Core2 processor with Win Vista Home Premium with SP2 (32bit) If you need some diagnostics/error files, please guide me through how to get them and I will post it ASAP PS. Please note that I also tried the campaigns again after resetting them and replayed the missions several times, but always have the same end result... Cheers!
