  1. yeah I also added some curve, custom curve on pitch and roll.
  2. but there is still question one of the first post.. anybody?
  3. Photos pass throu the shutter, and depending on the shutter speed we see more or less blurred, human eye sees a rotor blurred (including the hub), we should see like huma eyes in the game, not like a camera.
  4. I'll try, that's the way I'm more used to pilot helis. Thanks
  5. it's not about screen or 3d view, it's about attitude, it s so hard to keep the attitude still ! I videopilot UAV helicopters with LCD goggles in real life and it's not that unstable , and we're just talking about small models with a Wind/Weight ratio a lot higher of real scale helis, the can move like little mosquitos If I givve they the right inputs, but they are still if I don,'t they mantain attitude if i don't move my fingers..., I suppose (but I can be wrong offcourse) that such a big heli like the KA50 shouldnt be so unstable.
  6. mmm... if I look at the rotor hub I can clearly see any single parts while I'm in flight... that' shouldn't be like that, I'm an aerial photographer for work and also RC heli pilot so I have my idea of what I should expect, and DCS doesn't look good to me at all, may be a limit of my video card? (nvidia 7800 GTX)
  7. Oh I see, some others replace the 3D model on a certain rotation speed with some new textures of a blurred disk (at different stage of blurriness) that coul be a solution, I think you'll agree with me that even if you like it , it's not how it looks in reality..
  8. Looking at real ka50 videos, they looks to me to be more responsive on rudder, they change heading so quikly that I can't do the same in the sim, even without payload and half fuel.. Are these parameters perfectly simulated ? It also looks a bit strange to me that the hely is always "bouncing.. swinging.. tilting..." a bit, I mean, it takes time to learn how to hold it still in some direction, is it the same on the real KA50? Is it so demending? I flew a Robinson r44 once and also an A350 (lot cheaper machines) but I didn't notice this behaviour, why should a more complex machine like the KA 50 be less "stable" of those little choppers? Thanks!
  9. 1-Sometime I can hear the turbine very clearly, but some other when I back in cockpit from an external view, the sound is different, I can't hear the stong turbine anymore. (same in lockon) 2- When other players online run up the engines I can see a lovely sound of blades starting to rotate, that's absolutely lovely, but it doesn't work with my heli, only with other players. 3- Volumes, can we hear the little noise of a button or a lever inside a running ka-50 so clearly? But I understand that in real life there is a range of volumes that cannot simulated in a headset .... probbly that's the reason.
  10. I really would like to have motion blur on rotors instead of perfectly high shutter speed pictures, the absence of motion blur doesn't give the sense of rotation speed of blades, and depending on the external view camera angles, sometime they appear to rotate even slower. I'm also thinking at a more realistic light ring in the night when the blade tip lights are turned on as I can normally see in real scale and RC helis with night blades. The visual effect of light ring is baically a safety feature for formation flight I guess, but it works only with motion blur.. For sure this would be simply more realistic and nice, so I suppose the DCS comunity would appreciate it, Is this realizable from ED ?
  11. I noticed that sometime the 4 bottoms on the right of my leg (bank hold / pitch hold / alt hold /heading hold) reflects the outside light in a way that in daylight is difficult to understand if it's pressed or not. Sometime reflection is so strong that an OFF button looks brighter of an ON button... Did you notice the same?
  12. Konan, congrats for your points and tone used, very funny thread.
  13. Thanks Brad for sharing your knoledge with us, if we have no airspeed , just hovering, and put the stick full right aggressively we still have blade strike right? so what is the purpose of having so much throw in the cyclic? Thanks
  14. With the cyclic centered , the lift generated is simmetrical, the air just "twist" while going down but the force on the main shaft is simmetrical, different direction simply cancel the yaw effect caused by a single rotor.. I don't think so. can you prove it ? or doyou have some direct experience with this statement? infact they don't collide unless you move the stick aggressively..
  15. I don't know with real scale helis, but with the remote controlled helis that I have (coaxial) it happens exactly as I described.
  16. I don't think High Power/altitude and abrupt pedal input causes blade strike because in anyone of these case the two rotors remains parallel with eachother.
  17. with my RC helicopters is always when I move the cyclic too fast... and a longer inner shaft solved my problem (int he rc world...)
