  1. Anyone use them, anyone tested them ? I m getting each time more interested in those for my almost all purpose cockpit i am thinking. Any opinion ?
  2. Anyone have any experience with them, i know this would maybe belong more to cockpit building, but they are outputs.
  3. Yes it sems they send you a calibration program or something similar.
  4. Thats some good news. Maybe they are overwhelmed buy problems, maybe fuse is an issue, anyway they are slow.
  5. I wish there was something near it here, for now the only crap we can get is 24".
  6. Yeah tell me about it, if i let my customer waiting 48 Hours , you bet i m fired. This scare me because if i have to contact sucking TM support its gonna international call as they have no ressallers here.
  7. Well its to be hoped that ROF is more complex and somewhat more true to life. How many FM changes have been present since 1946. The same way we hope SoW CoD (what a bad acromym, i hoope it doesn t foreword something like it) will be on a next lvl even above ROF. That remain to be seen but my hope are hight. As for the question in this thread, if simulators could be done as per sit of your pants or whatever, there would be many less flight pilots out there. They would go for better payd jobs and have a blast on theyr fully fledged system. So, asking who does best is one thing, but going to QQ about details in all sims is... not very bright to be gentle.
  8. Seems thats it they send you a new one with another SN.
  9. This trapdoor, as you call it, is even more scary than a simple defective batch. If its true it can happens to anyone, and go figure the combination with so much possibilities. Maybe letting the WT always powered as said above is the solution. But we know for sure that this first FW update doesn t solve it, but probably reduced the probabilities of Bricking happening. That is, if there s only one bricking type.
  10. Yep and TM lost a great oportunity to realease another product that would be sold in the TM vacuum hype. Go figure.
  11. So wolf, this lead more to a power issue than the butoon set the wrong way ? Or you still think it s a combination of buttons while powering up ?
  12. Humm ? not really , you ve been better :):P I was born 71, but i have -2 years do i end up in 69 :clown:
  13. Well i bought one set , its good hearing such new. My modified RCS is still perfect but as i am leasing the cougar to a buddy, it would be a PITA to make them work. So i jumped to the combat they are quite..er.. umm... sexy.
  14. Well that basicly a UBX(UBN?) cougar with hall sensors.
  15. (directed at above and the 940 troll) Well technically true but in the end the result is thesame theWT is programable, and in more ways the 940 dev team could dream. Also it sports many more buttons and features the 940 doesn t have. Ok it doesnt have rudders coming in. But i would take the risk of bricking warthog anyday over the limited-for-ever the 940 is.
  16. I agree CH support was very good wheni had theyr products.
  17. He s impressed just that. I feel no evil here...
  18. I always wondered why TM doesn t support its own forum. And i think, maybe overdoing here, that yes thats why they don thave a forum. TM having a forum would concentrate all the complains and potencially could hush potential customers away. While we are on non TM dedicated forums we are separated, its harder to make a big picture over a whole problem, etc. So yes TM do not have a forum for MKT reasons.
  19. Its not about being noob or not. Irs about hw much you like flight simulations or even one simulation and are willing to invest in this hobby. The Warthog will be the same for a noob than for an experianced person. IMO if you have the wallet and the desire go for it, buy it it will ease your learning curve, because you won t have to be fishing as much keys on your keyboard. Buut before taking the plunge, maybe ask yourself hom much you want it by comparing what you would do with the same amout of money if the WT wasn t on the horizon. (Avoid compulsive buy on a whim, but you can always e-bay it) I ve been harcore, now i m no more due to time issue, and i have bought a warthog, because: I enjoy combat flight sims a lot, even sucking hard at some (DCS - black shark); In the end, the cost of a good sim and good gear is a cheap hobby. (assuming you have only only a good computer with only 1 monitor); The warthog will filll my need (along with the saitek combat pro rudders) to all the other flight sim i will acquire or i am already flying. I don t plan to buy any other joy, for at bare minimum 5 years or more. (if only 5 years, 100 bucks a year is cheap for any hobby)
  20. The second part is a lie or a half true. The problem ain t solved. This may have as i stated solved a problem, but not the bricking. There are people that have reported bricking AFTER the firmware update. But if i where you i would buy it anyway, i know i did buy one, well, maybe i wasn t smart to do so and should have waited, but WTH, no risk no gain. Do not rely on first degree atendent answer, they are not always informed by mistake or on purpose. Customers forums are usually more reliable.
  21. Slowdown on your reading. Nobody said they re lazy. Do youknow the fatigue syndrom ? Stress syndrom ? Well i bet you do, and you know the results right. I worked 10 years for a french company that has his proprietary component soldering and major assembling (not total) in china, ring a bell ? No, not TM, not same kind of bussiness althought entretaiment too. And guess how the soldering was done ? People soldering, no machine. But Hardware would malfunction after a while due to damaged component, bad soldering etc... At least, when you complained about faulty hardware they would send another piece for free, no question asked. Most of the time it was a recovered PCB, with wires and/or only a new soldered component . (They only would complain after if the piece of hard wasn t faulty from build point.) See my grip with TM, they know the problem, they know they are faulty, even then they reel at cleaning they re own rear end. Why they do it ? because low payed half slave or prisoners soldering is less costly than machines even counting defects and image issues the rest. They know that when we got our Hog working again, most will forget the incident.
  22. Interesting theory, but would a couple of buttons pressed bring fire to the system ? Cougar also have a hard resset with buttons, God kows how many time i had to use it in the beginning, and it never cooked. Althought i can t remember which ones....trigger + something. mmmh?
  23. Naaaah, won t have to explain, already explained earlyer.
  24. You should send those issues to Nvidia along with a picture of your settings, i mean the picture of your system you posted here.
