Yes, but they are doing it on purpose.

The only conclusion with mobo is that 100% of bricks are Intel. Brand is not reliable, we got all brands, with probably some Asus stand out but as we don t know the % of Asus to other Mobo... Now lets see if there s some faulty bracked in the SN or if its just random. Here are some: 935 1544 1462 1865 More WT bricked but can t find SN reference

Problem with Warthog Throttle
Succellus replied to Jg2001_Rasputin's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Firmaware 2.0... thats nice, but it seems they still don t know if it will solve the problem, i think thats why they haven t released it to problematic warthogs owners they don t want to scream eureks before time. As far as i can see Asus aint the problem but Intel is the problem, now what would it be ? Can t say, mobo ship, less strict voltage amperage compliance ? On a side note My warthog landed and taxied home. If there wasn t this fear dampening the joy, i would go out and troll someone :clown: I ll wait 2.0 start kicking in public as 1.8 wasnt a solution. -

Its just that Combat Flight Simulator remember me so much the game i want to puke.:( So i prefer Mil.FS and Civ.FS they are kind of FS. Strange i m not discussing values of Civ.FS, i just sayd they are boring for me, then someone got offended theyr hobbie was called boring and came guns ho! So i ended up furballing over a stupid argue. The important is :pilotfly:no matter how...
-
You re plainly wrong i ve flyed don t know how many misison in IL2 sims without label not being able to kick a rat and having to shake AI of my back ammoless, and i was damn glad and proud to be able to freaking land in one piece. Or was just glad to be able to land in modern Mil.FS when the only bang done was my aircraft being hit. Sometime bringing it home alone is a blast as much in CIv. than Mil. FS, but you can bet it happens to be a challenge more times in common settings in Mil. than Civ. by the only fact that in Civ. Nobody is trying to make your plane look like july 4th at any time and situation. As for me: 1) No pilot 2) Combat flight sim only, quality only.

MEH, CRM for me is Customer Relationship Management... but i can adapt to Cluster bomb Realease Management if you will. :D As for envelope, LOL, learning envelope and energy management in combat is a little more dificult and important in Mil.FS than Civ.FS. And as your definition of players of Mil.FS its as short as you so called landing field, since for you to be succefull in Mil.FS means bringing da bird home as much in one piece as you can. I wanna see a Civ.FS simulate an half blown wing, engine with more bullets than a powerpoint presentation, some half stuck rudder, and 1 and a half aileron working assimetrically and with diferent amplitude due to damage, blown tires and BB cramped on your back scearming PULL UP! PULL UP! WARNING GEAR! WARNING GEAR!MWS FAILURE! HYDRAULICS FAILURE! ENGINE FAILURE! YOU RE SCREWED!!! How many time in a Civ.FS you had to make a decision to try a barrel roll before landing (or anything crazy) due to a scrwed plane or trying to abort an approach not knowing if you had enought gas to try anything else but eject if you aborted. How do you eject on a piper cub? Give me a Civ.FS where you can do a landing procedure coming nose down at 90 degree of earth following ATC procedure. Each one its own, mine ain t ATC, its going wild buck and doing a job that ain t freaking easy. As i said, i need adrenaline, and spraying virtual fields of virtual bean with virtual pesticide while i calculate when i will have to do my next main manutention because of metallic residue in the engine that can cause mechanic life time decrease ain t my definition of adrenal. But call me in when they put SAMS doing duck shots on 747 or cessna 172, it ll be fun to try to not be shot down in flames. (even if vain). As for flying i will remain with skydive, as i said i have no pretention to be real pilot, and never had since Mil. became totally out of the chart due to health problems. Again i would suffer the same problem IRL that i have in VR, and probably would ending up grounded for life.

Problem with Warthog Throttle
Succellus replied to Jg2001_Rasputin's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Well So far, so its still very relative, we got: No throttle briked with ABIT; No throttle bricked with AMD, so all throttle bricked with Intel. Throttle seem to brick with every intel range, from L775 up to 1366, no Sandbridge bricked, but there s too few out there to be reliable info. Taking in acount that asus is one of the most sold brand, due to the single fact its present to the not bricked and bricked, and due the fact that there s many more bricked throttle in the Asus team, i would say: Intel is the problem, AMD is safe. The throttle brick with ANY brand with asus being more prone to problem. Now due to the fact that no beta reported brick AFAIK, i would say its probably some " we need to cut cost" or "We need to throw it on the market change the furnisher" or both issue. Now what AMD have that Intel doesn t have on theyr mobo beyond, main chip and mobo controler chip. As for the USB self powered fry, if the energy spike on the mobo toward the USB and its not controled, no matter on what your throttle is plugged he s gonna get the spike. So self powered can dampen the problem but will not solve it. It seems a (some) component(s) on the WT would not be able to deal with some energy issue. So far the only ones that can sleep soundly until further notice are AMD owners. PS: i dont think any firmware issue will solve this. -

well your right my memory failed me on the number 2% is beetween 1 and 2 sigmas. 1% is more like it. But anyway how many industries have 3sigmas level of quality, not much.

Problem with Warthog Throttle
Succellus replied to Jg2001_Rasputin's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
If the betas don t have flaws, (at least they don t report it) i would say bad components used on assempling... as it has been suggested. Ziggy , which Mobo you got, Imac is just the OS... -
Don tworry i really don t know how soe people are able to manage, dcs +ww2 + ww1 sim all at the same time perfectly.

Hummm ? 0.001%? Thats a dream for any industry. heck 2% of failure is already hard to attain as the mumber goes out. (usually calculated % of failure per million) if you takes 6 sigma nirvana is barely inferior to 1% and first step is 6%. So 2 % aint dissing TM. Well i know i m a rat lab :D for TM, but i couldn t resist the qtty inicial good reports.
