MadKreator, that was it. I didn't have use system resolution checked. Pilot error on my part. All is well. Thanks for the help.
-
My resolution is set for both screens, but I didn’t check “use system resolution”, so that’s probably it. I’ll try when I get home. Thanks man, I was hoping it was something stupid on my part.

It’s worked. I’ve been doing it for 6-7 months as have others messing with Mixed Reality. It’s not a mod. It just required you to have your monitor config setup properly in the Saved Games folder. it either stopped working in this latest patch, or an error on my part setting this up on a new computer. I can roll back to a previous build and check that.

I'm no longer able to export displays while in VR. This is on a new computer, clean DCS install with the latest patch. It could be an issue with the new patch, or just an error on my part setting this all up again. I'm able to export as expected when not in VR. This is my monitor config I'm using in VR. It's the same file I ran with the old computer, before it ran off to college with my son. When not in VR, I use the same file as below, minus the VR_MIRROR section and VR_allow_MFD_out_of_HMD = true What I see on the 2nd monitor, is just my desktop background image. _ = function(p) return p end name = _('Helios') description = 'Generated from compatible Helios Profiles' function reconfigure_for_unit(unit_type) if unit_type == "FA-18C_hornet" or false then FA_18C_CENTER_MFCD = { x = 3303, y = 690, width = 410, height = 390 } FA_18C_IFEI = { x = 2579, y = 773, width = 614, height = 188 } FA_18C_LEFT_MFCD = { x = 2631, y = 245, width = 410, height = 410 } FA_18C_RIGHT_MFCD = { x = 3982, y = 244, width = 410, height = 410 } FA_18C_RWR = { x = 4044, y = 747, width = 165, height = 165 } return end -- _FA-18C_hornet end -- reconfigure_for_unit() Viewports = { Center = { x = 0, y = 0, width = 2560, height = 1440, aspect = 1.77777777777778, dx = 0, dy = 0 } } VR_MIRROR = { x = 0, y = 0, width = 2560, height = 1440 } UIMainView = Viewports.Center GU_MAIN_VIEWPORT = Viewports.Center -- Added by Helios Monitor Setup Script Appender VR_allow_MFD_out_of_HMD = true

There's some trial and error with positioning/angling the 2D plane within OpenKneeBoard. Then start with something like our grid in KneeboardFiles.zip above. With the grid there, you can more easily figure out how your final 2D plane needs to be shaped. Hope that makes sense.

Here you go... KneeboardFiles.zip

Sure. I’ll try and send it to you tonight, along with my OpenKneeboard settings. We also made one that was a grid, that we used to figure out how to shape the mask we used.

Thanks, yeah that was the best part, as he's going off to college in the fall. We purchased the HOTAS prior to the existence of Thrustmaster's Hornet grip. We've talked about swapping, and we still might, but we've gotten used to the functions we've mapped to the extra switches. We did at least mod the grip so that it's mounted with the correct rotation.

I had it yesterday. One unplug/plug-in, while DCS was up, fixed it. Prior to that DCS was not detecting it.

Thanks erniedaoage. That makes sense. My dispenser switch has three states: BYPASS, ON, OFF. The switch sets one of two “buttons” in Windows HIGH when it’s in BYPASS or OFF. If I bring up DCS with the switch in ON, no buttons are pressed. DCS comes up with the virtual dispenser switch OFF and sees no “button” pressed to tell it otherwise. Kind of a bummer if there’s not a solution, but I can work around it.

On F-18 my home cockpit, I'm having issues with some cockpits switches not initializing to the state of the physical switch. For example, the cockpit's physical DISPENSER switch will be set to "ON", but the state of the virtual switch is "OFF". To get them to sync up, I have to move the physical to "OFF" then "ON" again. In the SPECIAL OPTIONS menu, I do have "Synchronize Cockpit Controls with HOTAS Controls at Mission Start" selected and some virtual switches do init to the physical cockpit switch. I am using Quaggles and the DCS-Community-KeyBinds, and most, if not all of my toggle switches are mapped to the LUA commands with "Special For Joystick" Comparing the LUA entries for switches that init correctly vs. those that do not, I can't come up with a pattern. Is there a trick(s) to get every switch to init to the state of my cockpit's corresponding physical switch? Any help would be appreciated.

Question About ECS Related Switches And Related Modeling
JSF_Aggie replied to JSF_Aggie's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Thanks all. I was just looking at if there were any switches that I should not bother including or wiring up on my home cockpit. Appreciate the replies. -
Are the ECS related functions modeled in the Hornet, such that in cold enough conditions, will I need to enable Engine ANTI-ICE, Windshield ANTI-ICE, the Defogger, etc? Thank you.

Below are some WIP shots of a cockpit my son and I are building. 4 years ago, we build a generic, much simpler setup, that he flew with flat panel display. He flew a mixed reality setup I have at work, and wanted to do MR on his home pit. Our first pit was much wider than real Hornet, so it didn't work well for MR. For the "remodel", my son did all the design work in Fusion 360 and we built it from his plans. He handled all the 3D printed parts as well. I'm doing all the switches and their panels. We took some liberties with the pedestal layout, but dimension-wise, he matched reality around the edges between the virtual out-the-window and the pass-through camera mask. He has the MR mask aligned very well. For the most part, all the remains is for me to do the panels/switches on the sides. He's working on some 3D printed bezels to go on top of the monitor areas we're using for the IEFI, analog gauges, ICAWs, etc. Appreciate any feedback.

fixed Pimax Crystal Quadviews seems to broken after last patch.
JSF_Aggie replied to tikijoetots37's topic in VR Bugs
Purchased a Crystal 2 months ago specifically for DCS, in part because of Bignewy’s review/recommendation of the Crystal & QuadView. Please fix asap. Thanks.
