  1. Some Youtube people are stating that paying off the Membership Fee all at once cost more than paying month to month but when I checked paying it all off at once has a 12% discount. But I'll still be keeping my wallet away from this dumpster fire. Really don't like the idea of a Membership Fee and Pimax having the ability to brick my device through a membership account.
  2. Remember how the Quest requires you to have a Meta/Facebook account to use your Quest VR? It looks like Pimax is trying to turn their headsets into hardware as a service and their drivers as software as a service. If you wish to purchase a Pimax VR headset you currently need to put down a huge down payment and then pay a membership fee. I have been personally been waiting for around a year for the Pimax Chrystal Super to come out. AS per Pimax's Webstore "Payment Option 1: Pay membership fees at once with 12% discount $999 upfront + $32.99 membership fee * 24 mo. * 88% = $1,696 USD in total Payment Option 2: Pay membership fees over 24 month $999 upfront + $32.99 membership fee * 24 mo. = $1,791 USD in total *You'll start paying the monthly membership fees in app 10 days after activating your Crystal Super. " "What happens if I choose the monthly plan and miss a payment? You can pay Prime at once and you never have this situation occur. But yes, if you choose for monthly payments, and miss a payment, then the Pimax Play software will stop functioning, until you complete the payment." "After you’ve completed the 2 year subscription, you can then use it for free as long as you like? Yes. After 24 months (or if you decide to pay off Prime in one go), the whole headset is yours and you'll never be required to pay for any subscription. The subscription is tied to your headset, so even if you sell it, the subscription won't reset." Pimax DOES NOT give the consumer the choice of buying the headset out right for a single payment. You have to put a down payment on it first, and either pay the full 2 year membership fee at once with a discount, or pay it out monthly for 24 months. And while Pimax claims its all yours free and clear after you pay it off, you are still required to maintain a membership and nothing is going to stop Pimax from deciding to move features behind a paywall at a later date with a "Membership Fee". Keep in mind Pimax is using the words "membership fees" Not "Payments" or 'Payment plan" it is a "Membership Fee". This comes with 2 consequences. First is the fact You have to maintain a membership with pimax wither or not you are paying for it. Secondly they can turn off your headset anytime they want to. The other issue is going to be with buying a used Pimax. Not much is going to stop a current owner from selling their pimax with part of the membership still outstanding meaning people are probably going to be purchasing used Pimax headsets on ebay that are bricked by Pimax due to the original owner not paying off the Membership fee. Ya I'm sorry, Pimax can take their membership and Shove it! If I can't buy it outright ... I'm not buying it. Sadly I was actually looking forward to the Super
  3. Removed to start new thread on Pimax membership requirements.
  4. Just got these on the F-15e I have the AV-8B N/A but it's not tossing these yet. It's seems to be just Razbam and the (Mod)_CPT.DLL and the ARF.DLL
  5. At least It's a Low threat and probably a false positive. I am not running any mods for it or even skins. I am running a few mods for DCS for other AC and I have a couple of community made AC ... but none that have anything to do with the F15 (c or e) None of my AC Community mods require a paid mod or base AC. And I haven't even flown the F15e once Nor have I set it up I have only downloaded it. I wonder if this will create the same license issue that malwarebytes does.
  6. As much as it sound like joke considering the current drama, it's not a joke. Windows Security is reporting 2 DLLe files in the F15 as potentially unwanted apps.
  7. I would like to see a small inexpensive graphics and coverage area update for the nevada map. I would be willing to pay around 10 bucks for it but I also hope it would stay compatible with non-updated NV map so that Users with slower performing systems and have not updated can still stay play on the same services with people who have the updated map. People who have and can handle the Update just get more pretty terrain and objects over a wider area. I think that is how the Normandy/Channel and Normandy 2 maps work or are suppose to work any way.
  8. If you still have access to the old phone just connect it to wifi you should be able to use google authentication without a SIM chip and/or access to cellular data. Log into your account and remove 2FA then you can bind it to your new authenticator if you so choose. If you no longer have access to your old phone you should be able to email support@digitalcombatsimulator.com Be prepared to prove your identity. Once they know you're the real you, they will probably just disable/turn off 2fa on your account. You can find all the contact information including the support email for ED in contacts https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/contacts/ There is a contacts link at the bottom of the main page.
  9. On the DCS main page it reads ... "WWII FIGHTERS 50% OFF DISCOUNT We are thrilled to offer great savings across all our DCS WWII Fighters until the 21st of May, 2023 at 15:00 GMT." When I click the link at the top of the list is the DCS: Mosquito FB VI. However it is priced at $47.99 from $59.99 that's only a 20% discount. The DCS: I-16 by OctopusG has no sale price at all. I'm going to assume that this is because it's from a 3rd party developer. All of the other WWII Warbirds fighters that are regularly priced at 49.99 are on sale for $24.99 that's a 50% discount. So what happened to the Mosquito and why doesn't the "WWII FIGHTERS" not apply to it? Is it because it's too new and shiny to give it the better discount? Is it because it's a technically a "fighter-bomber"? Sort of like the P-47 that is on sale at 50%. Is it because it has two engines?
  10. My understanding is if you have the Normandy 1944 map it gets upgraded to Normandy 2 High Detail FOR ONLY THE 1944 AREA. But the full Normandy 2 map is larger and has more detailed areas. You still have to purchase the Normandy 2 map to get the full area in high detail. No changes are made to the Channel Map therefore it does not get upgraded as this time. In otherwords all owners of Normandy:1944 are getting a free upgrade to Normandy 2.0 Light which gives you a key to Normandy 2 for the unlock and does not actually give you the full 2.0 map and detailed areas, only some of it is for the 1944. This is also what allows 1944 owners to play on 2.0 servers without paying for an upgrade they just won't see some of the pretty pretty stuff. As per the Faq .... " I already own DCS: Normandy 1944. What happens? Excellent! Your existing DCS: Normandy 1944 map will be updated for free so that the whole area of the original map is in the same high-detail as in the DCS: Normandy 2.0, and you will benefit from updated airfields and a significantly increased total map area but at a lower level of detail. You will still be able to play on your favourite servers or with friends even if they upgrade to DCS: Normandy 2.0 and you don’t, but your areas of high-detail are significantly smaller and may be missing world objects. If you wish to, you may pay $14.99 USD to upgrade to DCS: Normandy 2.0 for all the benefits described above." I think the new Lagacy Keys for 2.0 are setting off the "You already have a key for this product" warning.
  11. Valve index, AMD R9 5900x (12core/24threads), 64gb (4x16gb) 3600 DDR4, RTX3080(10gb) 2tb m2 PCIe x4 gen4. pre-MultiThreading I got a solid 45fps @ 90hz. Now I can barely get above 37-40fps at 80 90 and 120hz. with the same settings.
  12. No problem MAXsenna I'm really fast to judge people. But this is starting to become a Cluster Bomb (Bomb is not the word I would use, but I don't want to get banned) Apparently the people running ED's DCS facebook page (See Screen shot) are still claiming the max discount is $14.99 even if you do own both maps. I really wish Eagle Dynamics would clear this up across all media (Social, ED forums, Newsletter etc.) once and for all.
  13. Thanks for the update AdrianL. Honestly MAXsenna I don't care, if this forum had a user to user ignore or block list you would be on it the minute I pegged you (even if wrongly so) as one of those people that defend bad developer behavior like loot boxes and micro transactions in full priced AAA single player games. I sited my sources and showed were I was getting my information, so did AdrianL, which I appreciate. From my perspective ED dropped the $9.99 price for owners of both maps in the march newsletter, Both on the forums and on social media ED was stating that they did in-fact dropped the discount for owning both maps. I posted screen shots. Apparently about 11 hours ago (midnight my time) Kate Perederko stated it was their mistake. Apparently other ED staff like Nineline ran with it and put out bad information based on that mistake. When I asked about the discount for owners of all maps on being dropped on "DCS World by Eagle Dynamics" facebook page (that is usually managed by Nineline/Norm) Myself and several others got the same copy/paste response from ED ... "Since then, the developer has listened to customers and have added a huge amount of additional detail, like new airfields and POIs. This was not originally planned when first announced. As such, the discount pricing has to change a little to account for this." The only response from ED that didn't seem to be a scripted Copy/Pasted response were the ones Nineline signed (pictured.) So in all honesty either communications between ED staff is rather chaotic or ED was going to toss owners of both Maps under the bus and backtracked due to community back lash. Either way as long as they honor their promise I'm good.
