  1. If you still have access to the old phone just connect it to wifi you should be able to use google authentication without a SIM chip and/or access to cellular data. Log into your account and remove 2FA then you can bind it to your new authenticator if you so choose. If you no longer have access to your old phone you should be able to email support@digitalcombatsimulator.com Be prepared to prove your identity. Once they know you're the real you, they will probably just disable/turn off 2fa on your account. You can find all the contact information including the support email for ED in contacts https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/contacts/ There is a contacts link at the bottom of the main page.
  2. On the DCS main page it reads ... "WWII FIGHTERS 50% OFF DISCOUNT We are thrilled to offer great savings across all our DCS WWII Fighters until the 21st of May, 2023 at 15:00 GMT." When I click the link at the top of the list is the DCS: Mosquito FB VI. However it is priced at $47.99 from $59.99 that's only a 20% discount. The DCS: I-16 by OctopusG has no sale price at all. I'm going to assume that this is because it's from a 3rd party developer. All of the other WWII Warbirds fighters that are regularly priced at 49.99 are on sale for $24.99 that's a 50% discount. So what happened to the Mosquito and why doesn't the "WWII FIGHTERS" not apply to it? Is it because it's too new and shiny to give it the better discount? Is it because it's a technically a "fighter-bomber"? Sort of like the P-47 that is on sale at 50%. Is it because it has two engines?
  3. My understanding is if you have the Normandy 1944 map it gets upgraded to Normandy 2 High Detail FOR ONLY THE 1944 AREA. But the full Normandy 2 map is larger and has more detailed areas. You still have to purchase the Normandy 2 map to get the full area in high detail. No changes are made to the Channel Map therefore it does not get upgraded as this time. In otherwords all owners of Normandy:1944 are getting a free upgrade to Normandy 2.0 Light which gives you a key to Normandy 2 for the unlock and does not actually give you the full 2.0 map and detailed areas, only some of it is for the 1944. This is also what allows 1944 owners to play on 2.0 servers without paying for an upgrade they just won't see some of the pretty pretty stuff. As per the Faq .... " I already own DCS: Normandy 1944. What happens? Excellent! Your existing DCS: Normandy 1944 map will be updated for free so that the whole area of the original map is in the same high-detail as in the DCS: Normandy 2.0, and you will benefit from updated airfields and a significantly increased total map area but at a lower level of detail. You will still be able to play on your favourite servers or with friends even if they upgrade to DCS: Normandy 2.0 and you don’t, but your areas of high-detail are significantly smaller and may be missing world objects. If you wish to, you may pay $14.99 USD to upgrade to DCS: Normandy 2.0 for all the benefits described above." I think the new Lagacy Keys for 2.0 are setting off the "You already have a key for this product" warning.
  4. Same on an AMD R9 5900x, 64gb DDR4 Mem, RTX3080. Stuck at a max of 30fps at 80 and 90hz, At 120 and 144hz I max out at 40. I used to get 45 @ 90HZ and 45-60 at 120hz. I made a report on Monday and uploaded my logs which still have not been downloaded. I uninstalled and reinstalled my GPU drivers, my chipset drivers, and Steam VR. I did a repair on my steam client and I deleted the fxo and metashaders2 folders in DCS Open Beta stand alone and did a slow repair. When I retried DCS Open Beta (Stand Alone) I saw no change. I replied to my original post and attached my new logs, diagnostic reports, and screen shots. Considering no one from ED downloaded the logs I attached to my original report, I'm not going to hold my breath on getting a solution any time soon. I'm going to guess they are swamped and I'll just have to cross my fingers that we get a patch in the next week or two until then I'll guess I'll just go play something else. Oh and as a heads up there is suppose to be an analytical bug that causes a %10 percent loss of performance on Nvidia cards after quiting a game and starting a new one with the 531.18 divers. However I still got poor performance after installing the latest (fixed) drivers. https://www.windowscentral.com/hardware/computers-desktops/buggy-nvidia-driver-53118-bloating-some-cpus-after-gaming
  5. Pre Multi-Threading I got a solid 45 FPS in VR @ 90hz at 120HZ I would pull 45-60 fps but mostly between 45-50 fps. After Multi-Threading update I get a hard locked 30 FPS at 80hz and 90hz 30-40fps with 40 as a hard lock at 120 and 144 FPS. So I have uninstalled my NVIDIA drivers using DDU in safe mode and installed the latest game ready drivers. I have updated my Chipset drivers. I have repaired uninstalled and reinstalled Steam-VR. I have repaired my Steam Client. I have deleted the fxo and metashaders2 folders in DCS Savegames and run a slow repair on DCS Open Beta (Stand Alone). I'm still stuck at a hard 30 fps at bith 80 and 90hz refresh on my Valve Index and 30-40 with 40 appearing to be a hardlock for 120 and 144 hz. However 120 produces a slight flicker when the Steam Vr settings are open and they are worse at 144 but is manageable as it only effects the game when the Steam VR control panel is open in VR. The only thing left I think I can do is completely uninstall and reinstall DCS (Something I'm not looking forward to as My ED/DCS directory is 372GB.) Enclosed are logs diagnostics and screen-caps. 6. Valve index, AMD R9 5900x (12core/24threads), 64gb (4x16gb) 3600 DDR4, RTX3080(10gb) 2tb m2 PCIe x4 gen4. pre-MultiThreading I got a solid 45fps @ 90hz. Now I can barely get above 37-40fps at 80 90 and 120hz. with the same settings.
  7. System R9 5900x CPU, 64gb (4x16gb) 3600 DDR4 Mem, RTX3080(10gb) GPU, Valve index VR. DCS and OS run on a 2tb Samsung 980 pro M.2 PCIex4Gen4 (with new - Not Bugged - firmware). Before 2.8.3.37556 In VR I pulled about 40-60 FPS depending on DCS and VR Settings (Low details 120hz or Medium Details 90hz). Getting DCS to run with 2.8.3.37556 was a Pain it took several tries to get out of the menu screen into both Single player and multiplayer. More often then not DCS would stop responding. After several tries it finally started getting into multi-player however my Frame Rates where about 25-35 FPS at low settings sometimes dropping down to around 10-15 fps. After 2.8.3.37556 and a slow repair In VR I seem to be locked at 30-40 FPS regardless of settings. On the bright side I can almost max out most the settings and I still get 30fps in VR in an AH64 in Multi-player. this using both the --force_enable_VR and --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR switches. I can in some situations drop down to 25fps. I do get some screen tearing, this could be due being stuck at 40fps when running VR at 90/45hz or 120/60hhz I won't even bother running it at 144hz. I have a moire effect when looking at some parking/ground textures. A slight occasional flicker. However when I exit the game or bring up the Index/Steam Vr menu in VR I get a horrible flickering for several seconds specially at higher refresh raters (120hz, and 144hz). I also have an occasional Stutter and I have controller polling on so I need to turn it off and see if the occasional stutter goes away. on rare occasions like once an hour or more I get a half a second game freeze. This could be due to lag spikes in multi-player. Running the game normally (non MT) is far far worse even with my original pre-MT settings. I'm back to 25-35 FPS at low settings sometimes dropping down to around 10-15 fps. I also have a new bug where about half of the in-game labels only show in one eye in VR. Again this is in Single thread. I had to take off my VR to get a cap of the Steam VR App window So it says standing by but the frame time is the same. Motion Blur and Vsync are disabled V-sync is also disabled in NVIDIA Settings. DxDiag.txt dcs.log SteamVR-2023-03-13-PM_08_22_49.txt
  8. Same I have a R9 5900x CPU, RTX3080 (10g) GPU, 64gb DDR4 Mem, Valve Index VR. However from what I've been told this is the same for everyone unless their running a low performance or older GPU and that the CPU bound means all your cores are being used and that Red means that one or more cores is maxed out. I have separate issues with MT that I will make a bug report on.
  9. No problem MAXsenna I'm really fast to judge people. But this is starting to become a Cluster Bomb (Bomb is not the word I would use, but I don't want to get banned) Apparently the people running ED's DCS facebook page (See Screen shot) are still claiming the max discount is $14.99 even if you do own both maps. I really wish Eagle Dynamics would clear this up across all media (Social, ED forums, Newsletter etc.) once and for all.
  10. Thanks for the update AdrianL. Honestly MAXsenna I don't care, if this forum had a user to user ignore or block list you would be on it the minute I pegged you (even if wrongly so) as one of those people that defend bad developer behavior like loot boxes and micro transactions in full priced AAA single player games. I sited my sources and showed were I was getting my information, so did AdrianL, which I appreciate. From my perspective ED dropped the $9.99 price for owners of both maps in the march newsletter, Both on the forums and on social media ED was stating that they did in-fact dropped the discount for owning both maps. I posted screen shots. Apparently about 11 hours ago (midnight my time) Kate Perederko stated it was their mistake. Apparently other ED staff like Nineline ran with it and put out bad information based on that mistake. When I asked about the discount for owners of all maps on being dropped on "DCS World by Eagle Dynamics" facebook page (that is usually managed by Nineline/Norm) Myself and several others got the same copy/paste response from ED ... "Since then, the developer has listened to customers and have added a huge amount of additional detail, like new airfields and POIs. This was not originally planned when first announced. As such, the discount pricing has to change a little to account for this." The only response from ED that didn't seem to be a scripted Copy/Pasted response were the ones Nineline signed (pictured.) So in all honesty either communications between ED staff is rather chaotic or ED was going to toss owners of both Maps under the bus and backtracked due to community back lash. Either way as long as they honor their promise I'm good.
  11. "It was a mistake in the newsletter. Original pricing will be honoured." Ummm ED has confirmed that there will be no $9.99 price for owners of both the Normandy 1949 and channel maps. This has been confirmed on facebook and in the "DCS Newsletter Discussion 3rd March 2023 - Normandy 2" as AdrianL pointed out a few post ahead of yours. Basically they broke their word. I personally think that owners of both maps are such a minority it shouldn't hurt ED that bad to honor the original upgrade pricefor both maps, but on the flip side owners of both maps are such a minority that ED really isn't worried about breaking their word to us ... So what if a small percentage of players feel betrayed and walk away it's apparently worth it more to ED that they make that extra $5 from the owners of both maps willing to put up with it. I'm not a very good fanboy. I love fallout games ... but I would never defend Bethesda for the mess that is fallout 76. I have well over $750 bucks invested in DCS over the last 10+ years, but I'm not fanboy enough defend them on breaking their word on prices even a measly $5. I would have been less upset if ED had raised the price for owners of both maps to $14.99 and the owners of one map to $19.99, but instead owners of both maps got thrown under the bus. Pictured are two copy and paste responses that ED (probably Nineline) made on facebook regarding price.
  12. Maybe ED should stop stating prices before a product is actually up for sale. At least this way ED doesn't anger it's player base when they pull the rug out from under their customers feet and make themselves look bad. While those of us that have both maps are only getting screwed out of $5 it's still a dirty move! In all honestly I am going to spreed the word on this, and other will do the same. It will eventually make it into other gaming forums, social media, Youtube, etc. Some day the gaming industry needs to learn to not make promises they can't keep!
  13. In the 07 October 2022 Weekly Newsletter on the Normandy 2 map it stated .... "DCS: Normandy 2 will be available as a complete map for $59.99 USD. If you have either DCS: Normandy 1944 or DCS: The Channel maps, you can purchase Normandy 2 for $14.99 USD. If you own both, you can purchase DCS: Normandy 2 for only $9.99 USD." Source: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/newsletters/586a6c51e05f3e73556af3f5682afdcb/ In the current 03 March 2023 Weekly Newslette on the Normany 2.0 Map the Development Update update states .... "those of you who already own Normandy 1944 or Channel maps, the Normandy 2 upgrade will be available for only $14.99. Please read the details below and check out the Development Screenshots." & "The price of the Normandy 2 map is $59.99, but for all users of Normandy 1944 or Channel the new map will be available at a price of $14.99. The map will be available on both our eShop and Steam." Source: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/newsletters/fca09769c3ce35947bcff6542caa3b1b/ There is no mention of the 9.99 price for owners of both the Normandy 1944 and Channel Map in the latest update. So my question is did Eagle Dynamics just Re-neg on us?
  14. I have the same problem My system is an rtx3080, r9 5900x, 64gb ddr4 3600, Valve Index. When I shut down DCS it closes and steam Vr shows that it closes, however I can often still see the dcs.exe process running in the background. However more often then not DCS Integrated Countermeasure Editor (Dice) is left running and on the tack bar. are any of you running Are you using DiCE: DCS Integrated Countermeasure Editor? or SRS?
