  1. Problem:

If you hide from the missile and the shooter aircraft behind a mountain after getting launched on, the missile keeps the lock. If you change direction while in cover, the missile changes the optimal intercept cource, even while the shooter aircraft and the missile have no line of sight to the target. The missile should either go straight or intercept last known target course after either missile or shooter aircraft loses line of sight.

If the target e.g. pulls up while in cover from the missile and the shooter aircraft, the missile pulls up aswell.

    Works so far with AIM-120C / Aim-54A / R-77. Tracks are attached.

Notice the green line turning red means terrain obstruct the view between units.

    1. After shooter aircraft lost line of sight, the missile still changes direction. It goes to the right at first, then changes its course to the left, even target is behind cover.

    2. Same shot. After missile lost line of sight, the missile still changes direction.

    3. Same shot. Notice at the end: The mirage pulls up while in cover, missile keeps intercept course by pulling up aswell.

This especially shows with the Aim-54 due to its long time of flight. Testing was done in Persian Gulf map.

All tracks and gifs here are made im singlepayer/Mission editor, so the missiles desync should be not the issue.

When reproducing, make sure you dont notch the missile and always stay hot aspect while behind cover. Notching works aswell while masked.

  2. Still love the new effects and hope they also will be affected by prop wash soon :>

Just noticed while watching the following video that even at ~200kts (and heavy rain) there are still a lot of fine water droplets on the canopy...would be great to still see them ingame at this speed aswell when flying through heavy rain.

I know its priority #4129 but I just love flying on bad weather in dcs.

  3. We don't have it yet, but there's a shortcut with the sensor select switches to put the radar screen on the right DDI (and stores page on the left DDI). As long as there's not a page that can take TDC control there already (e.g. not the HSI, SA, FLIR or Radar formats) or the Stores page, if we sensor select right it'll switch to the Radar page and if we sensor select left it'll show Stores. If the HSI or SA page is there, it switches between them. Just gotta wait for ED to implement it - they might be waiting till more screens are finished (like the SA page).

Thats great to hear. Thank you.

  4. Will we be able to set different default DDI Pages for the A/A and A/G mode ?

So that if you are in A/G mode and quick select an AIM-120C via the Sensor Control Switch you automatically get the Radar page on the right after having set the another page on the same right DDI in A/G mode before ?

Is this a thing in the real Hornet ?

Right now you always have to reselect the Radar page after switching between modes. :/

  5. I like my shadows :)

And its totally fine a long as my head stays in the same position, which it does usually.

Besides that, even at locked 45fps you could still see many artefacts close to the canopy frame, while using the flashlight and like mentioned, it made the F10 map totally unusable for me :/

Seems that as long as there is a uniform movement its fine, but when moving pixels suddenly "appear" from behind a canopy strut (e.g. in helicopter cockpits.), it needs some frames to smooth the motions, so there is always some lag/artefacts in those areas.

Still a nice setting to try though.

  6. Love the number of options in the reject page :)

Looks like we can see friends and foes via JHMCS (MIDS info, Member, Doner, Closest Friend, other)

Anyone know what "TUCD Track" means ?
