  1. I wonder: If there is only one 9X remaining on the left wing, does the fuselage block the missiles field of view to the right ? :)

And in regards to the smokeless motor :O :

  2. Well, since its mentioned in the Flight Manual I think its possible.

Otherwise it would not have been mentioned I guess?

I have never seen a video or heard about it though (Except that Growler incident where the crew neary froze to death after the ECS failed...)

Guess we need to rely on some pilots opinion on this.

I could image it would be an interesting feature (especially in VR)

  3. I would also be looking forward this. (Though i think it's a really low priority(!))

Fog beginning at ~26secs in this F-16. Anyone able to find a similar video for an F-18 ?

You can lose sight during landing...like it happened to this F-16 2011.

    http://www.f-16.net/f-16-news-article4523.html

"According to the report, the aircraft's environmental control system caused extreme fogging that completely obscured the pilot's visual cues and severely affected correct execution of normal landing procedures. The pilot applied the defog procedure without success. Without the necessary visual clues, the pilot did not apply adequate aerobraking which increased his landing distance.

    ~45secs

The cabin of the second F-16 looks kind a more white on the inside:

  4. Just finished it.

The last formation flight was definitly a huge goosebumb moment. Great way of looking into the future! :)

Also the last transmission while taxiing is a wonderfully way of ending such a great campaign.

I haven't flown multiplayer for some time, but this was the most fun I'ver ever had in DCS singleplayer.

Thx alot for all the work! Looking forward to Nevada now :)

I was just missing the Battlefield main theme at the final formation flying:

  5. Just let the years pass...

    F-4 please :)

    Guess F-14 isn't old enough :(

    But....

    I'm 21 years right now.

Somehow I'm lucky because someday there will be a F-14 Tomcat simulator out there, equivalent, no even better than what we have right now.

There will be one ED, right ? RIGHT ?:D

  6. Hey, I'm really interrested in this but I'm not sure how to make it work. I downloaded FaceTrackNoIR version 1.6 but I can't make it work in DCS. The FaceTrackNoIR seems to run fine, I got 25-30 FPS and it seems to track the movements of my head really nicely but when I run DCS it doesn't do anything. I also downloaded the Eagle Dynamics API interface DLL's (64bit) and used the DCS preset that is included there (freetrack game profile). When I run Gui I see the "headtracker" column there in control options but in game it doesn't move the camera at all. But in GUI when I try axis tune I see movement there. It just doesn't move in game. Any ideas ?

    Same problem here.

A Squadron mate of mine uses it and it works. Gona ask him this evening if he's online.

  7. This is how it looked in Aerosofts A-10 for FS2004:

Hands would be fine, just fade them out when you put the mouse above them.

Kneeboard are are very important asset when sitting in a cockpit. They are your secong memory !

Sure you could just print them all out or get a real kneeboard, but I just dont like that empty space in the cockpit.

The Pilot is a important part of the cockpit and without him (or her :smartass: ), it's just unrealistic.

Maybe ED focused to much on the cockpitsystems and just forgot the pilot...

  8. For me, personally, it is definitly a missing feature that must be added.

    Ever heard of Clipboards ?!

Falcon 4.0 had them and in DCS A-10 they would be damn usefull for all the frequencies and other stuff you have to remember during flight.

    Just think about TACAN codes...

So PLEASE ED, PLEASE give our pilot some legs with a pair of Clipboards on it.

This is must have feature for our beloved A-10.

You probally thought: "If we add legs, we also must add arms. And if we add arms, you can't see all the gauges and can't use all the switches etc..."

My opinion: Forget about the arms, they are unnecessary but a cockpit without some legs... looks just like something is missing.
