  1. The map is an overlay, everything else works. This is the original cockpit with a lot of re-texturing done to give this effect. How much more I can do with this, I don't know at the moment. this will be the cockpit for the Fc2.0 version of the Eurofighter that will be with our next update. Crow is making a 3D pit but am not sure when this will be available or even if it will be used for Fc2.0. Maybe Crow could shed some light on this if he reads the post. He is very busy getting everything ready for our next update. Plus what RL adds to the mix. This is not a clickable pit nor will there ever be one for FC2.0. BS is the only series that I know that will feature clickable cockpits. Glad you like and hope you enjoy flying the Eurofighter. Happy to assist you with any info, suggestions or issues you may come across. Cheers. Pete:)
  2. In short we need ED to provide the means and we have the people that have the know how.:) right now we are stuck.
  3. Now if we could do analog to digital would be really cool.:)
  4. Yes, but I will go back and pay more attention.LOL Sorry about that. Yes I should give Blaze a shout if I can find him not busy. I am sure he will fill me in. thanks Nate.
  5. Ha Ha, there is always a but. Yes would be nice to have the cockpit arguments, maybe some day. For now I guess we just have to be creative. No since wasting time doing a 3D pit when it takes a little creativity to change what we have to reflect newer A/C. Thanks Nate. :)
  6. Yes, i know. What I mean is that the present gauges location is it still the same or can you move a gauge plus re-texture, or just re-texture gauge and it stays where it is in the original cockpit. I.E. Temp gauges. Can they be moved or just re-textured.You can overlay but needles will stay and you can texture an f-86 gauge but no needles will move in other words just a texture.
  7. Those would be present gauges re-textured? Are we able to move gauges with Fc2.0 or like Hud, re-texture but location stays the same.
  8. Well, ATI have not got a good record with drivers. I am not an ATI card user but as was just stated, look for older drivers. Thee are good drivers and I hope someone who uses ATI can suggest a good driver for you. Cheers.:)
  9. Well guys, we are progressing with the eurofighter and hope to have some changes to the Beta test shortly. Here are some pics of some textures that you may see in next release.(not finalized yet). cheers. The black skin is my personal one but others you may see in next update. Pete
  10. This is the best hijacked thread EVER.ROFL:Dhohohoheeheeheehahaha.Well maybe not ever but 5 stars anyhooo.:D:lol:
  11. LOL, but I think the count is 7 + yourself:D:smilewink:
  12. Does there have to be one, he is happy with Fc2.0. Another member of the community. Welcome.:)
  13. Maps Maybe not all would like the big map. the smaller ones like I have posted especially the sat. one, would be great. I can see the advantage of the Tc-1 for mission building, perfect map and very well done! The smaller airbase ones would also serve a useful purpose. I believe there were 6 new airbases added to the Caucasus Region. Anyway I will figure something out. Thanks.
  14. Is there a permanent way to delete the speech either the .ogg or .wav for these warnings. I had them all deleted in Fc1.12b. I saw no need for a lot of them. However I see a slightly different structure in FC2.0 but is it still possible to get rid of the ones you don't wish to hear.;) Other than what has been suggested?
  15. Shoot Shoot. Like I need to know.:D In LOFC you could just delete those unwanted sound tracks in the sounds folder. Permanently. Maybe do the same with FC2.0?
  16. Hi E. Yes I understand that, I was trying to word this a little different. I do not mean the TC-1 map. I understand why this would a a purchased map. What I am trying to say is the maps we got of the airbases, we had small detailed maps of each airbase. I was wondering how or why we did not get something similar for either DCS-BS or FC2.0. I don't even know who did those maps. Hee hee, I knew I would screw up this, but I hope you understand what I am trying to ask. This is not about the TC-1 map. This is a great map and a great idea. Your too fast, I was editing the original to avoid this misunderstanding with the TC-1 map.LOL What I am referring to is maps like this:
  17. Don't mean any offence to anyone so please don't take any. I was just wondering if we are going to pay for maps now, when we got them free for LOFC. Just a stunned question.:D This is not about the TC-1 map. Very nice and a lot of hard work and well worth the money. I guess what I am wondering why or how we can have detailed airbase maps for the New Fc2 airbases. We have them for LOFC and these would just be an addition for the new Fc2 airbases. The TC-1 map is in an entirely different catagory. Please don't confuse my question with this map.
  18. Yes, in addition to the map. Would be mice to have. Hope someone does them like what we had for LOFC, but now for Georgia airbases, used in Fc2.0. Thanks for the info. Will look into this. Cheers.:)
  19. Is there a map showing the Military airbases in Georgia. A map similar to the airfield direction map for LOFC. Been looking and can't find. Unless I am looking in wrong place. I can get info but was wondering if anyone is working on an airfield direction map and detailed layout of the bases used in Fc2?Thanks for any info.
  20. Here are a few pics of some repaint to Tom's textures.:) Also a shot of the flashing lights.:)
  21. Ask away whenever the need arises.;)
  22. Yes, you are alright with your present CPU. For the future you will need to take a jump up. Your ram is ddr2,fine, when and if you jump ddr3 triple channel or what is recommended at the time, but again I no nothing of AMD and it's requrements. When you jump next time it will be a big leap, so be prepared. I would say the only thing you will bring with you is your new PSU if you do upgrade to that and your New GPU if you purchase this as well at present. Some of the rest will be questionable. Your case maybe alright but as I said that may have to change as well. If you want to play these flight sims. then it will cost, simple as that. That is regardless if you stick with AMD or go with an Intel system. I would suggest you get on the internet and look at the gaming computers for both Companies. You don't have to be at the top but you should be well in the middle. Research is the key. Take time to way PROs and CONs. Remember you are getting a computer to play flight sims. If this is the road you wish to go down. For most other applications what you have will see you through for quite some time. Gaming is a whole different realm. By all means ask for advise but do your own research as well so when you make the upgrade you make a well informed decision. This will help you spend your well earned dollars wisely. Things in this industry change rapidly and what is top today is bottom tomorrow. You have to purchase based on your needs and where you want to keep yourself on the ladder of improvements. I think it is always a wise choose to stay in the middle and don't jump too fast. If gaming you would look at about every 3 years if you stay in the middle. For anything else you may want then you can go a long way before making changes. Like I say it all depends on your needs and buy accordingly. This is the best advise I can give you. Hope this helps.:)
  23. Tom, if you follow what ED does for these things, I think that would be fine until you are allowed due to ED updates to explore more options. This right now would be a waste of your time. Your time is precious.:D
  24. Well now you've done it.:D.Let me just say that 2.8 or 2.6 or what ever really depends on how the CPU handles information(single core, dual, quad). So here we go. Well let me just say there are agian two companies Intel and AMD. I think we are in the same situation, some people love Intel CPU's and some AMD. For the Intel, I can tell you that maybe you should look at the I5 or I7 series of Cpu's. I don't have a clue on the AMD CPU's, I have never used one at all. This will change your motherboard most likely but don't hold me to that. When you are looking to replace what you are looking at, I think most people take the leap and make the big upgrade, CPU,GPU,motherboard and ram, then look at what components of the old system could work such as PSU, case fans even the old case. It is a slim possibility but you could be looking at a case change as well. For a CPU change you would have to check your motherboard and see if it is compatible with what you are looking for. This is getting into the real technical side of things as everything now has to be paired together. Hope someone with more technical experience can jump in here. Can you post exactly what is in you system. model of motherboard, you current CPU, your ram(how much and what type ddr2 ddr3), what operating system(xp, windows 7 and either 32 bit or 64). what monitor are you using and at what resolution(1024x768,1280x1024) 60hz or what ever. All this info is need to give you any advise on a CPU. Well maybe not all but most. the more we know the easier it will be to give you some good advise.;)
  25. Not up on the Mig to much but those doors close to prevent ingesting foreign object when on the ground. Hence the closer at low speeds( taxiing as example). At higher speeds they will open to allow much need air flow to the engines. How this all works for the sim. well Tom and other people have a way better handle on that. Tom I don't have the light issue on the F-15. Actually the F-15 is working very nicely. I have added some texture changes and will show pics and if you would like the files, I can send them to you so you can include them in other updates.Cheers. Love these 3d mods. I would not change the poly count for the 3D models, they are working great as is just touch up some of the issues that arise. IMHO anyway. Great work Tom.:thumbup:
