#6 is up:

Thanks man. Yeah, I brought the view in to fill the frame a little more. Folks complained about the normal view as folks sometimes do.
-
#4 is up: Vampire, I used LCtrl-F11 to get the view and the mouse/mouse wheel to move around. It is fine as long as you keep level and use your head, not the mouse, to look up or down. Otherwise it can be... disorienting. :)

#3 is now posted above. Thanks a lot Konovalov & f4l0. Fab, I just used the "VR" button at the bottom of the settings screen and took whatever those settings were. Years ago I would spend a lot of time tweaking and checking framerates but I have grown to despise that whole process.
-
Ramsey, I use keyboard alt-enter to make it full screen then scale it horizontally as I edit the video so it looks normal again. Thanks Vitormouraa, part 2 is up. :)

Here is the first of several videos documenting the process I used to learn the DCS: F-5E. This is an in depth look at the aircraft systems, how to operate them, and how to employ them during missions. These are intended for new players who are new to the F-5 and DCS: World and not sure where to start but I go into enough depth that experienced players can enjoy them as well.

Here are two new screenshots shared with me by the developers showing progress on the DCS: Spitfire IX. I also have a look at some specific aircraft details that pin down the exact variant. Here are the Pilot's Notes if you would like to do some read-ahead: Spitfire IX Pilot Notes (Flight Manual): http://zenoswarbirdvideos.com/Spitfire9_Manual.html I had intended to include a list of references I have compiled but the bibliography and external links already at the bottom of Wikipedia pages are actually quite good in this case: Spitfire Page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supermarine_Spitfire Late Model Merlin Engine Variant Page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supermarine_Spitfire_(late_Merlin-powered_variants) Spitfire Gunsight Refrences: http://spitfirespares.co.uk/gunsites.html http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?t=17850

This is a Su-25 Frogfoot ground attack mission called Tskhinvali Interdiction flown from beginning to end in VR. I am flying on the Russian side striking ground forces as they prepare to advance on the town. The ability to capture quality footage of VR gameplay is a challenge for all who are attempting to do it, not just DCS video makers. For this reason, external views and TACVIEW replays are used extensively throughout to help tell the story. If you are completely unfamiliar with what VR is and what you are seeing, you might be better served viewing some older overview videos first:

Oculus Rift CV1 First Impressions - A-10C/Ka-50 Missions
Bunyap replied to Bunyap's topic in Screenshots and Videos
F-15C mission added above... -
Here are some instant action missions recorded during my first day with the Oculus Rift CV1. These are only intended to give an impression of what employing the weapons and systems in a mission setting is like. If you are looking for more background on the VR experience itself, check the "Oculus Rift in DCS:World 1.5" video at the bottom. As always, any head shake you see in the cockpit view is the natural head movement produced while giving the commentary and does not represent the actual experience. The resolution in-game is also slightly higher than what you will see here due to limitations in the way footage can be recorded.
-
I'm bumping this to the top again. The description of the problem and solution are in the top post. Again, this has nothing to do with head position or anything else that has been reported and fixed. Please let me know if there are any questions.

Follow along as I learn to use the SA342 Gazelle light attack helicopter in DCS: World. This is an in depth look at the aircraft systems, how to operate them, and how to employ them during missions. These are intended for new players who are new to the Gazelle and not sure where to start but there is enough depth that experienced players can enjoy them as well.
