  1. How is the ghosting? Reprojection always introduced ghosting of objects like other planes or buildings - especially during rolling manouvers as the reprojection probably couldn't predict the excact position of small fast moving objects. The landscape was buttery smooth but the ghosting objects were a big turn off.
  2. Looks like things are in motion atm. July is going to be exciting!
  3. Hey Milou Thank you very much for your input. Been looking up the MBs. You make some good points I haven't even though of. According to some reviews I watched Gigabyte takes the price for high end Z390 MBs. Will keep researching.
  4. Thanks for the advice. I am in no hurry atm. Will look out for the Ryzen3000!
  5. Grettings aces Wags praise to the HP Reverb pushed me over the fence to upgrade to said headset. Now to be able to push those pixels I am looking to upgrade my rig as well. Currently I am sporting an i7 6700k, heavily overclocked, along with a 2080Ti. I get ok'ish FPS in VR but the image quality is lacking with the Samsung Odyssey. What CPU / MB setup do my fellow enthusiast recommend especially for DCS in VR? A quick sloppy research pointed me at an i7 9700k in conjunction with a Maximus Hero XI. Does that sound ok? Any advice on AMD? Is the i9 series worth the money? I am open to advice! Kirin out
  6. Now this pushes me right over into the Reverb camp! Great news. Hope that thing will be released in my country soon!
  7. I don't know if it is related but kept losing cursor control in VR. So after a little research I put a sticker (bit of a post-it) on the proximity sensor which at least solved that problem. As for 6DOF. I marked the door on the far end of my cockpit with black tape und put a lamp behind the cockpit to really brighten up the room. No losses ever since.
  8. Same problem. Latest Beta build. Will redo tonight to see if I can reproduce. (starting up the Mirage at night in VR is a nightmare though - espeically if you have to turn on the radios first)
  9. Greetings aces I've been recently coming back into DCS, flying in VR exclusively. I am enjoying the Mirage campaign tremendously. Mission 2 was a blast until Colt flight got the order to cover Seraph flight and assigned me to proceed to Vaziani. After a few seconds the game crashed. I am on the newest Beta candidate. Vanilla, no mods. In VR. Any advice? Kirin out
  10. Oh boi - my wallet gonna hurt!
  11. That`s pretty awesome Miles. Sign me up for a production model!
  12. Out of curiosity I checked the files yesterday. Sadly the glass shader is one of them. I guess you have to recompile the shaders afterwards...
  13. Finally came around to install the mod. Wow, great improvement. Was able to ramp up the PD to 1.5. Being on the Odyssey I didn`t even change the masksize as I only get a very slight anomaly stripe on the top of the FOV. Any `official` word on what airdogs MP complient version actually changes?
  14. Greetings aces I was able to spark some interest in DCS with my non-enthusiast friends and we are looking to do a coop mission on the weekend. We got a Mig29 pilot, a Blackshark pilot and two people with vanilla DCS only. I would like to hop into the Mirage. A friend wants to try the CGI role. Ground and air threats would be awesome. Any suggestions for mission we could try? My mission editor skills are very basic. Kirin out
  15. Alright. The error must have been in the mission. I loaded up some pre-made missions and flown in a campaign. Seems to work as advertised. Thank you for great work Hollywood.
  16. Alright - I am one step further. After reading through this thread I chose to delete (rename) the export.lua. After the new one was created VIACOM now recognized the module and the easy comms state. I am also able to talk with my wingman and the ground crew. ATC still doesnt respond. Easy comms off I try to reach ATC on VHF AM. Tower, ATC and Krymsk are recognized and I can bring up the menu via Option but it does not trigger the pilot readback... Any help?
  17. DCS not responding Hollywood, I have some problems getting VAICOM to run properly. I followed the installation process, watched the video and read through the manual trying to figure out the problem. VAICOM seems to run properly and recognizes my commands more or less frequently. The Tx buttons are mapped to the HOTAS and the button presses are cleared in the DCS controls. When I interrogate I get the short beep so I guess the recipient is there. But I dont get the readback from my pilot and nothing happens. Also the PTT control window doesnt update the statuts of the game - like the correct module or easy comms on/off. A screenshot of what it looks on my side. Any advice?
  18. OMG dburne - you're my hero. That did the trick!
  19. I can try but I don't think it's a WMR issue. Just did a quick sortie in IL2 BOS - head tracking worked fine. I am pretty positive it was a key press I did - just which escapes me - there are so many view key options - and none are documented.
  20. Greetings aces I was fooling around in DCS VR trying to get a proper replay record. I was pressing some F-Key combination because of the NVIDIA overlay. Now somewhere in the process I must have disabled 6DOF - or rather the X, Y and Z axis movements. I only have rotational movement left. Can anybody help me bring the 6DOF back? Help appreciated! 21. Nice. I did not expect that much echo. I do not want to exclude anyone - I myself have friends that don't have access to VR. I just want a group of people that run missions and servers that cater to the special needs of VR pilots as we are not up to par with the screen pilots yet. Let's get that thing rolling, gentlemen. I have no experience in server setups or missions. I will gladly help with what I can. Kirin out
  22. Greetings aces. Are there any virtual squadrons that put their main focus on flying in VR? I always found it frustrating being the only VR user while flying together as procedures were based around the regular 2D screen users. Flying in VR has some quirks like not being able to easily access programs outside of DCS while in the headset and different requirements for spotting in game etc. So it would be great to take the skies with fellow pilots that share the glory and the pain of current year VR flying. I am usually available GMT +1 evenings or weekends. It would be great to hear back from enthusiasts. Kirin out
  23. Did not have time to try the Odyssey yet - also I've been waiting for the VR Lenslab Frame which arrived now. Will do some testing next week.
