I have it aswell, the biggest gripe I have is that the mini joystick is on the stick, not on the throttle. Together with the sloppy center this makes using mavs real hard without a bit of of deadzone. Other than that its a pretty decent stick AND you get rudder pedals :) edit: I recently fixed R1 and R2 spiking relatively easily. Downside is you'll have to open the throttle up.

Just to add: this means you don't have to patch anything.

This. You won't see more of the world around you, unless if you go for higher resolutions than 1080p (1920x1080). I fly 1900x1200 on a 26"screen. If you want to see more, go multi-screen instead of bigger screen.

I use the course marker on the HSI.

Cool, is it fixed for JTAC lasing aswell?

It does make sense for communication, I always find myself fumbling around the radio menu's.

Also, you need to move the stick back and forth for the game to detect it.

In the controller options click the drop down menu and select only axes. The slew axes will be in that list. select them and move your microstick to assign.

Alternatively you could start with the quick manual in the doc folder and pay special attention to the HOTAS section. This shows you the controls/hats/switches available to the pilot which are referenced to in the training missions.

Well this only happens at extreme angles or when I've overflown the target and it is behind me so I was assuming it's not a bug but a feature...

Isn't it strange that sometimes even though I have Los to a target with the TGP that it displays M, as in target is masked (by aircraft), and the laser designator cannot be fired? Anyone know why this is? Couldn't find an explanation in the manual or the forums.
