  1. There's some pretty cool stuff in here and I have my F-14 almost working how I want in the stream deck thanks to everyone. Just wondering if this work should be checked back into the main DCS Export Scripts git and we start managing it there?

  3. It's like everything, practice, once you pick your kit spend a heap of time getting used to it in missions designed to exercise those skills. So if you want to go for real rudders do some flying where you need to use them. I personally couldn't live without pedals now but I do a lot of WW2 stuff too where rudders are almost mandatory.
  4. The extender would be a pain to remove and add all the time, if you really want the experience get a TM adapter and get the F16 grip. Remove the extender as a whole with the 18 grip and put the 16 grip on in its place. Problem then is you'd need to change the height of the stick on the mount too. In my opinion changing all that is too much stuffing around so I personally wouldn't do it, I love flying with the extender it's a lot different but I also know a lot of people swear by the more modern little stick method too.

    Noob questions

Couple of things here, I believe the new throttle handles are compatible with both throttles, it's just the collective that is not. The other key difference in the throttles is the throw and therefore the precision of the movements, it's much easier to do small adjustments on the taurus, although everything really is about getting the muscle memory for your setup. The switches on the taurus map pretty well to other aircraft, everything is functions that most aircraft have anyway so it's not too hard to map them out.
  6. I believe I have this working... Was having the same issue myself, whichever was down the bottom was winning. Updated the below, not actually sure if this solved it or if I was doing something wrong before this, need to test more tomorrow. My WW panels and throttle are all syncing now and I can see UFC data on my stream deck though. local vaicomlfs = require('lfs'); dofile(vaicomlfs.writedir()..[[Scripts\VAICOMPRO\VAICOMPRO.export.lua]]) -- load the DCS ExportScript for DAC and Ikarus local dcsexportlfs = require('lfs'); dofile(dcsexportlfs.writedir()..[[Scripts\DCS-ExportScript\ExportScript.lua]]) local wwtlfs = require('lfs') dofile(wwtlfs.writedir()..[[Scripts\wwt\wwtExport.lua]])
  7. You're all good then, I found my stick/throttle posted super quick but it took a couple of weeks for my panels, both lots still arrived in one piece.
  8. I'd be slightly concerned about not having the confirmation email, I got one as soon as I placed the order on the international site. If you login to the site and check "my orders" do you see the order there at all?
  9. FYI there is a facebook group where they are making updates on the supplier issues. I suspect what is going on here is a one man band trying to scale up his business. I think these were more popular than maybe he anticipated, then you get a supply hiccup and it goes a bit haywire. I too am waiting on an order from April but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt as he has always been prompt to respond. I have some experience here from when a collectibles place I shopped with started doing the shonky on everyone (not that I think this guy is). For a visa dispute you have 180 days from the date they last promised you it would be delivered, so if there's any public update or email that says "I'll ship them to you by July 1" then you have 180 days from there to do the charge back with visa. Given I have comms that put me well within that time frame I'm happy to be patient, I dont have the time in my life to fiddle around and make this work myself so hoping for the convenience here...
  10. I have the winwing libra/taurus setup with TM TPR's for the pedals. I've centre mounted the stick and the TPR's are nice and wide and allow me to be comfortable. I came from some CH pedals and contemplated slaw/TPR/crosswind/virpil pedals. I ended up going with the TPR for the following reasons. 1. Availability 2. The pendulum motion seemed to mimic planes well and it really does 3. They looked quite well made and suited what I needed 4. Price, yes the others were more expensive when I counted shipping etc, I got the TPR's in a thrustmaster sale for $300 AUD off. 5. Local support (really minor reason) I'm definitely not disappointed in the purchase, I've only had them about 2 months now but they have been amazing to fly with, I'd definitely recommend them based on my experience so far. Having said that I doubt you can go wrong with the other pedals too. In terms of leg room under the desk, no problems here, sometimes I even end up resting my foot on top of the centre part of them...
  11. I too work all day at my desk and use the monster tech desk mounts, they come off super quick, I slide the stick to the side and leave it mounted on the desk out of the way and I put the throttle behind my work monitor just sitting on top of the desk. I had to go monster for the taurus, those other ones seem to have the quick release too so should be good.
  12. I just moved from TM Cougar desk mounted to winwing libra/taurus with monstertech mounts. Being able to set the stick/throttle up exactly where they should be has made a huge difference to how long I can comfortably fly for. I'd highly recommend the mostertech (or something equivalent) to help you get the most out of your new stick/throttle. For me the quick release was a big draw, it allows me to disconnect the throttle/combat/take off panel quickly and easily while I work and set them up again in exactly the right spot in under 30s. The stability of these things is also quite amazing, I had seen a number of reviews that really highlighted the mounts as a weakness for winwing, I saved a little cash there and threw it to monstertech...
  13. I ordered some screens apr 21 and so far am still waiting for them to ship, I think perhaps he's getting busier and has some supply issues as others have said. He's a really responsive guy so I just give him a few weeks and ping him to see how things are going...
  14. I guess not that I want to excuse them for stopping responding, but have you considered getting the parts and getting help off a friend?
  15. Indeed, I don't think anyone has argued that it isn't different to the actual hornet though (gotta be honest I do gloss over some posts if they get overly off topic), I think we can all clearly see that from the photos and analysis there is a difference, I think as most have said it's just that it hasn't impacted their use of the product. That's the funny things about facts and opinions, fact, it's different to the hornet, opinion, it's ergonomically bad/good. Both sets of posters are actually right from a certain point of view Interestingly winwing did post on discord in response to some discussion that they are aware it's off compared to the real aircraft and have based their response on the mostly positive feedback from the customer base. They have also highlighted that it would not be an easy fix to alter how this fits. This combined with all the real world experience of many sim junkies (both good and bad) is good info for prospective buyers. I guess ultimately if you're after a 100% replica this was never the product for you anyway, the panel is not accurate, it places other functions where they should not be. If you're after a pretty close approximation that works well with the sim then this is absolutely great bang for buck.
  16. It's funny you should say this, I see lots of different accounts of peoples own experience with the equipment, all are equally as valid as the others. If you post something like this you need to expect and be prepared for others to post counter experiences, that's part of life.
  17. I had a bit of a think, then tried pushing the right level forward just a few mm to mimic the angle of the real jet and I can feel that the left throttle very slightly fills more of my hand and changes the angle of my wrist very slightly along with how my pinkie and ring finger contact the buttons. When the throttle is low down at thigh height this helps make it slightly (very slightly) more comfortable. The thing I found doing all this that affects the ergonomics of my wrist the most is actually the height, lifting the throttle up higher it resulted in a much more comfortable positioning no matter the angle I adjusted the right throttle to simulate the real jet angle. Conclusion:- Non issue for me, if I hadn't seen this thread I would never have noticed Can see how it could be an issue for others, not sure it would warrant a complete change of design, given the handles are interchangeable it seems feasible they could do it in the future, who knows. The best thing you can do is fine tune your mounting position to suit your body, the kit and your desk. I would still purchase this throttle today knowing about how this is designed, it's quite simply one of the best things I did for my flight simming.
