  1. Quick question: What does TOLD and WX stand for in the kneeboards?
  2. I've used the most recent version of OPENXR , I've tried with disabling the toolkit and enabling it. I think the experimental runtime is the one activated at the top of the app? (not at my computer right now)
  3. rgr ; actually did just that yesterday night , but havent been able to test it. One thing I have noticed though is that m OPENXR does not like to have the NVG VR mod (by 3Dmigoto) activated .
  4. I thought disabling them via the startmenue UI wouldnt load them ; but if this causes issues I'd need to try again; althoutgh I've cleaned up and slow repaired numerous times ? So I guess the only way forward would be a re-install ?
  5. I'm trying to get this to run but I always get this : I've tried clean up and deleting FXO and Metashaders
  6. @Flappie more info regarding black box , but also the Water texture : Cleaned up and slow repaired ; also deleted FXO and metashaders; it seems like Simplex shaders and/or VR mod shader fixes the FLIR / TPOD / Black Box issue . the Water not rendering is the weirdest thing : Freeflights seem to be ok ; as soon as I do a MP or Campaign mission it changes though I have a replay ( starts at minute 1:30 roughly) You can see it all render totally fine . As soon as I press "fly" you can see the shader / water change and then become invisible. https://youtu.be/XZ4DcwtrelM
  7. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1za2_Ql6LahfDQiFpcRbLcAWg6lS51Gqr/view?usp=sharing @Flappie @BIGNEWY tried to record it. pls check. after takeoff I slew the pod and errors start dcs.log-20220402-091319.zip
  8. rgr- sharing with @bignewy Following observations: Happens when no shaders installed / vanilla Onyl thing used is OPENXR Happens when looking at Ground; not at Air. FLIR objects don't really trigger it Switching to TV sometimes fixes it Black Box in FOV changes depending on which MPCD the TPOD is
  9. hey- yeah - low/high/medium - all the same. This seems to appear when using the "Simplex" shader or the VR shader mod. I know what you're going to say - then turn it off. Unfortunately, I have an even worse shader bug, when going vanilla, and only using OPENXR ; it is that when ever I use a TPOD / FLIR source, I have either a black block and no graphics on the Video Screen / MPD or I have a full black layer on my screen when looking at the MFD so its kind of choosing something annoying cosmetic - or something game breaking...
  10. Since the recent update ( not hotfix) water that renders "closebye" renders as solid ground texture. I have: Fully repaired Fully cleaned Removed any OPENXR Tools Removed FXO and Metashaders Folders --> What shaders / files seem to be broken here? What can I do to remove this issue
  11. Very interesting - I've also been suffering from CPU timings being very poor; I have 45 -50 FPS utilizing OXR and OXRTK - and will have a sudden drop to low double digits or singles - sometimes even a black screen for 3-5 seconds - for the game to return to smooth 45-50 FPS again. What I typically see is CPU times around 17-18 and GPU hovering around 20; I'm trying to figure out why the CPU is so slow , and doesnt go into its boosted state in which it goes north of 4000mhz; Specs are Ryzen 5600x RX6700XT 32gb SSD Resolution is @70% via OXRDT ( no crazy settings otherwise , all "normal" for VR) I've also started input regarding the spikes and lags in these topics : And also received the good info to potentially ensure that the GPU low and high MHZ limits are close together , as this can lead the GPU to go from full load (45FPS) to powersaving / idling due to the CPU times being slow and thus causing stutters/lags/black screens. Haven't been able to test this, but will tonight. Biggest annoyance is that I have no idea what causes such poor CPU timings , even though I am testing these in SP FreeFlights. ( and interestingly - the timings stay roughly the same when going to a MP server) having a few other players comment their CPU times when using a 5600x has me worried somethings wrong as the ten to be low double digits typically.
  12. good copy on the first 2 - will try that. Regarding GPU locking ; how do I do it / what do you mean by that? It's slightly OCd via the software it came with
  13. @nikoel- I have the same but then my CPU timings just go to hell. what’s killing me (figuratively and in Game literally) are spikes and drops in performance of CPU timings in case my game needs to load anything- FPS drop to low doubles - but mostly just a complete blckscreen for 3-10seconds - and is then just back to full 45fps and smoothness It’s so weird - and I cannot find resources to further investigate these bad CPU frames. CPU should be much stronger. GPU is def the linchpin overall - but I am ok with constant 45fps that seem smooth background processes - checked - there’s a few but non that eat up CPU power visible to task manager. Is there any other strategy to figure this out? mit just seems like the CPU never really goes full speed. It can though when tested via CPUZ or ryzen master test. thermals are in the green- pushing 65-70 max. ram has profile 2 x-amp enabled via bios.

  15. PBO via ryzen master only ; I’ve updated my bios as well but can’t seem to find the PBO options there
  16. yeah - but I don't have anything of that nature really running...I just cant get to the bottom of it (RGBs are not running/ programs are off)
  17. Quick one - I’ve been getting amazing help from @edmussin the last days tuning my rig - but we are both a bit baffled at the rather high CPU times - especially on standard maps ; with a ryzen 5600x , 32gb ram and rx6700xt I’m sitting around 16-19ms for CPU and 20-22 ms for GPU. Any ideas what causes the drag?
  18. Gotcha - I've set textures to medium now , and will set shadows to off; the AF seems to make the picture nicer and I'd love to keep it as long as possible. Worth a try probably Though I do get a very weird issue now : the sea is rendered as a basic ground texture :
  19. Thanks will try - I'm not necessarily hunting the highest FPS , rather a smooth expreience and really trying to kill these spikes that cause massive drops and blackscreens for up to 10 seconds. I'll search for that shader mod !
  20. Hi Team - I had posted this here already: but maybe this thread is better?
  21. Baffled - I have the same setupt apart from the 6900 being a 6700 - and I cant get anything close to that...need to find that linchpin in my system...
