  1. man I'd love to fly with you on your point, in the Razbam discord, memebrs have shown that it would be a "simple" LUA edit and is possible to put more spawn spots on the Tarawa, but thus far RZBM has yet to actually commit to making changes.

  4. Same here - did you start a thread about it ? The game boots the first few seconds, I have 2-3 seconds on the WMR, and then my Reverb G2 only shows black screen with white dots

  17. First off - I'm not an engineer , nor exceptionally smart - so I had to lean heavily on this awesome community for inspiration and help. And trust into the motto: " just start and figure it out as we go" Big shout out to @Bog9y and @Xpendable- who've been an amazing helpers and gave me loads of feedback and input. Also to @sea2skyfor the general idea of creating a generic cockpit, that doesn't have to be suuuuper detailed and usable for multiple applications. I started with the typical setup some of us have - 2x Cugar MFDs and a small Numpad in the middle as my desk setup - it's easily built up and easily removed. As I played more and more, and also began to fly more serious ( thanks TAW JTF88 !) my setup stayed built up more and longer - and I wanted to make things more realistic and playable. I started building @obious designed AV8B UFC as well as @FoxDelta After that was done, soon I saw @sea2sky generic F18 cockpit , and I wanted to design something similar - generic but rooted in the AV8B. I learned how to use Shapr3D ( Fantastic Ipad app, if you have the iPencil as well) and designed the cockpit in it. I wanted it to be a small profile / small footprint type of simpit, that I could move around - hence the setup with the rollers and the "platform" that goes just up to the seat. The side panels are moveable as well, so that you can get it all together From this it went to a local CNC shop, got the wood adjusted it and painted it - and through the different building stages we ended up with this: things I still want to do short / mid term: 3 WinWing MFDs, 1 WinWing takeoff panel built in Throttle built into the left panel Figure out storage for my keyboard and kneeboard when not in use Glare shield Better seat solution Questions?Tips ? Thank you @Flappie- one note though I need you to consider on your reference pictures, the intensity of light due to exposure used by the photographer, is off by a lot and does not reflect reality seen by the human eye and I assume this was also the reason the lights were so bright from the get go. the pictures referenced are shot with lense settings that allow for a lot of exposure / a lot of light to come through the camera to make them brighter, more vibrant and as you see, the lights create “traces”. this is absolutely not realistic and shows, again, a waaaay to bright setting. if you e Google LHA night ops, 95% of results will be with Night over exposure, as otherwise the pictures would be to dark and bland to publish from the photographer. also, compare it to what the CVN light levels are like, yes the LHA has more lights on during rotary recoveries, and that’s fine, but overall it is too much and too bright on top of all that, look at pictures and videos under NVGs, if the LHA had “our” light levels, everyone would be blind/tubes blown out a little bit exaggerated I know the below gives a sense of how little light is used in reality: https://www.dvidshub.net/image/6798193/uss-america-lha-6-conducts-flight-operations-night btw, I think the greenish light is accurate for Tarawa class LHAs can you please confirm that my explanation made sense to you (I’m not an English native) ?

  20. yes, CORE adds some ok outside effects and make it sounds way more like the jet in real life, but it's not a "big sound overhaul" by any stretch. Very welcome addition though!
  21. there's not. Sidearms were designed for self defense, not for SEAF/DEAD missions. In RL the entire missile is dead after 10sec as the fuel is used up and with that there's no juice for it to steer or see. the way they work in DCS are overpowered ( fun, don't get me wrong, but they're like Mini HAARMs...but they weren't that effective when used in RL)
  22. in RL there's that functionality I believe via data load in. You mean to pre load sketches/lines/circles onto the MAP view, to function like a poor mans HSI with DL? That'd be nice. n DCS, I think @AlphaJuliet was looking into it, but no update in a while.

Quick question: does anyone have experience when going from a G2 reverb to a pimax 8kx when trying to use Openxr? the reverb works with openxr ; when I try to switch to the 8kx - I only get a “black screen” both on the desktop mirror as well as in the headset. (Pimax open zur toolkit is installed) am I missing a step like deleting something or resetting?
