  1. I feel your pain. I try to figure out his problem when the full label set is done. Tooltips can be set to EN easily: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2180646&postcount=3 Chain
  2. Because I am trying to make this cockpit mod as realistic as possible. Finnish cockpit is a mix of russian and finnish labels and that is the reason I need to edit the russian cockpit. As Cobra said there might be a smarter way to do this in the near future. I hope you understand. Chain
  3. New file is uploading. More updates today. Chain
  4. Sure, when I have finished the labels :) Chain
  5. Made a new thread where you can download the work in progress version of the "mod". http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2182151#post2182151
  6. Hello, Finnish labels are well underway and about 90% of them are now done. After I have completed the whole pack I will give some of the indicators more love (not that kind of love ;)...I'll make them look a bit nicer). This is the first time I'm editing cockpit textures so bare with me. If you want to try out the work in progress version it can be downloaded here: 18.9.2014 55% 10.12.2014 94% done: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1286396/ or http://bit.ly/1s9kJCi Installation instructions (Thanks Kazereal and Uboats for the help): 1) download the cockpit texture package 2) extract the files into folder: ..\DCSWorld\Mods\aircraft\MiG-21BIS\Liveries\Mig-21_CP\custom\ 3) in DCS options, make sure cockpit language is set to "english" 4) in DCS options, in Mig-21BIS options, select the custom cockpit support If all was ok you should see the finnish labels and you don't need to overwrite the existing zip-file anymore. -- Sama suomeksi -- Same in finnish -- 1) lataa tekstuuripaketti 2) pura paketin tiedostot hakemistoon: ..\DCSWorld\Mods\aircraft\MiG-21BIS\Liveries\Mig-21_CP\custom\ 3) DCS:n optioissa tarkista että ohjaamokielenä on nyt "englanti" 4) DCS:n optioissa tarkista että Mig-21BIS asetuksissa custom-ohjaamotuki on valittuna Have fun and remember to report any bugs you find! 7. Thanks for the tips guys! Labels are well underway and about 50% of them are now done. I will need to go get more reference photos to finish (no pun intended :megalol:) the rest of them. Yes the Finnish Bis has few different instruments and control panels but I wanted to do the labels which are same in both versions. I will post the completed package when it's ready. Chain
  8. Can I edit .dds files in Gimp directly (or with a plugin) or do I need tools to convert .dds to a .bmp or something similar? Chain
  9. Hello, I went to an aviation museum and took a bunch of photos of the Finnish MiG-21 Bis cockpit and I would like to customize the current labels to look similar to the Finnish MiG-21 labels (some of them are in Finnish). Can you guys tell me what is the easiest way to edit the text labels? Do I need to edit the textures or is there a better way to do this? Thanks! Chain
  10. DCS patch downloaded and installed - check Mig-21 BIS downloaded and installed - check Axis and button settings - check Indiegogo key - waiting :) Chain
  11. Remember to join us at hornetpits.org :) Chain
  12. I really really hope that this doesn't slow down F/A-18 development :( Chain
  13. My problem seems to be directly a framerate problem. As mentioned earlier in this thread FPS around 30 and quick head turns can make you sick and you get a lot of tearing. I need to try other Nvidia drivers and see if that helps with the Rift framerate. I am getting very good framerates with 1080p resolution so something is wrong here. Perhaps Oculus mode is still unoptimized. Chain
  14. What kind of FPS are you guys getting with the Rift and what graphics settings are you using? Thanks. Chain
  15. I have disconnected two screens. I'm only running Rift + one 24" in cloned/duplicate mode. Chain
  16. I set the resolution to 1280x800 and visibility range to low. I'm only getting about 50fps and I now have less tearing/lag. It's still still noticeable and very annoying. War thunder seems to run at 150fps with all settings high and in Oculus mode and it's smooth as silk. I know one is a realistic flight simulation and one is a game...but still I should be able to run DCS with high FPS with this card and rift resolution...hmm. Chain
  17. Yes I'm running in duplicated mode Chain
  18. Tried this but didn't seem to help. I also tried War Thunder and it works perfectly. Problem seems to only with DCS. Do I need to adjust the rift resolution in the options? What kind of FPS are you guys getting with the Rift mode enabled? Thanks, Chain
  19. I tried this but I still had lag/tearing. Also it was almost impossible to load a mission since you can only see part of the screen. Ugh. :( Chain
  20. I'm getting bad frame rate and "tearing" when moving my head on X- or Y-axis. The tearing decreased a bit when I lowered details in the options. My computer with GTX780, 2500K, 16GB ram is not powerful enough to run the current DCS open beta in Oculus mode? I'm using clone mode with my main display and they both are using the same resolution. I normally run DCS with three big displays without any problems. I don't have lag or tearing issues with any of the Oculus demos. Anyone else have this issue? Chain
  21. I'll let you guys get it first ;) Chain
  22. Where does it say that the open beta will be out today? You already downloading it? Chain
  23. My GF flies DCS. She is into aviation as much as me. Having a few shots of Jeremiah Weed with her right now... :) She's a keeper... ;) http://youtu.be/XxTrAsqQ1W0 Chain
  24. Just remember to have the Finnish skin in the release version
  25. Now that the 3D model has been reworked can we still expect to see the skins that are listed in the first page of this thread? Thanks, Chain
