  1. I stand corrected. This incident was my error. I checked Wx in the mission editor that indicated surface winds at 6knts. However field elevation at St. Catherine, Syria is 4,256ft. Winds were very different there and were over allowable limits. Please accept my apology.
  2. Even post patch it's not enough. Anybody know how to modify it? I don't care if it's not realistic I'm sick of being pushed off the runway with a modest crosswind. Dragging wheel brakes and generally praying to get airborne. Love flying light attack but I either have to mod the winds or fly something else.
  3. I don't believe this is a problem with the module or more people would be reporting it but I can't figure out the issue so I'm hoping someone may be able to help? Any time I try turing on the instrument lights either using the mouse or by binding a controller button the lights will come on then turn back to the off position. They may stay on for a short time but within 10 seconds or so they're out again. Very much like would be expected in a key or button/controller conflict. I have removed all mods (didn't have many) cleared all lighting control mappings from my controllers. Checked in UI Layer controls too. Did a complete file clean up and repair from powershell and the problem continues to persist. Got any other ideas? It makes the aircraft unusable at night for me. This problem existed for me pre and post the latest update.
  4. Well, despite your efforts Minsky there must be some sort of shortcoming in Liberation I'm unaware of. Regardless of what Airport ID # I use I can't get Liberation to acknowledge Aerodromo De Tolhuin or Franco Bianco. I haven't tried all but I'm now convinced there is probably many more that are also incompatible. There must be some sort of list used similar to /resources/ground units but for airports that is undocumented? For example many ground units can be found in the mission editor but are not in the Liberation resources/ground unit list such as the M551 Sheridan & T-64. Don't know why I'm trying so hard anyway the DCS AI logic is/has been so atrocious for so long it'll just end up another frustration.
  5. Minsky, Thank You Very Much! Excellent!
  6. Looking for one or two things: 1. A current list or table with airport names and ID numbers for the South Atlantic map for use building a custom DCS Liberation campaign. or better 2. A description/instruction of how to identify or look them up myself. Seems like they change or vary with releases and I would like to know how to find the data since I assume it would be a similar process for any of the maps but I am currently enjoying the South Atlantic. Thanks in Advance. Rob
  7. I don't know if this will help the OP but I had similar issues. Once I started releasing the controls lock prior to movement the issue subsided. Maybe just coincidence but I haven't had a blackout or taxi explosion since?
  8. User error, looks like it's tied to control locks they need to be released or it will occur. Perhaps a bit drastic but posted in case others have same occurance.
  9. Not sure what else to say other than when I try to taxi at Paphos AB Syria ( have not tried others) the jet shutters gear collapse or explodes after adding power and starting to taxi, It's frustrating.
  10. Make sure it's not simply on standby mode, it can be easy to forget if you get distracted to set it from warm up/standby to Emit. I've done it before and wondered why I wasn't getting a return.
  11. how cool is that? The Kfir will keep the cold war momentum building and will be a great fit for the game IMO. As far as a new aircraft announcement post Kola/Orbx partnership news, only a Tornado IDS would have gotten me as stoked as the news coming out of DCS lately.. Bring on that Dynamic Campaign Update...
  12. The Super Etendard would seem a compelling choice given the Dassault heritage and the release of the South Atlantic map. Kfir would be cool too, or a Canberra if I'm going out on a limb.
  13. Thanks for the tip, saved me some time getting it sorted. 15% gets it close on my setup.
  14. Is there any method of mapping the throttle curve so that it enters the afterburner range when it gets to a specific value that coincides with my hardware Virpil Mongoose? I only see basic controls in the in game settings for curves inversion etc. Admittedly I have not played with the Virpil software I'm used to working with FSUIPC and AXIS and OHs on MSFS platform. I realize this is a different simulator but was hoping for a similar solution that I'm currently unaware of. Didn't find anything about mapping in the F1 Manual.
  15. The Hind and the C101 are my favorite sets. The Viggen's 1980's video game arcade sounds are well done too.
