  1. I am running 1440p and I have this issue.
  2. DCS F/A-18C Ultrawide graphic issue Hi there. I have a 34" 3440x1440 21:9 monitor that I have really enjoyed using in DCS. Until now. My settings are more or less as high as they go, besides some not important ones, civ traffic, motion blur etc. My AR is set manually to 2.3333333. Parts of the cockpit in the F/A-18C are blurry, HUD text and DDI text are almost unreadable unless I zoom really far in, which is not really a workable solution imo. I don't have this issue with the A-10C which is my daily driver. The cockpit is of course dated and not perfect but with cockpit resolution of 1024 all text on both HUD and MFCDs is crisp and readable. If I select a lower AR resolution like 1920x1080 and 16:9 the HUD and DDI text is crisp again. So any ideas on how to fix this or is this something I just have to live with which I really can't. It's horrible :( Here are a few screenshots. It's not a 100% representation because some compression but hope I explains a little bit. It's not so clear on the HUD in the pictures but the DDIs in the Hornet and the MFCDs in the Hog is showing what I am struggling with. Also the F-15s MFDs are crisp and readable. https://ibb.co/iCUcxd https://ibb.co/hktWOJ https://ibb.co/mspo3J Also if you look at this video by one of the Reapers, you'll see his HUD and DDIs are very readable (I am guessing he is running in 1920x1080) and do not look like my screens at all and this is with YT compression. Those images I provided are 99% what I see when I'm in game

  5. I am very interested in all that you have shown here. To be honest I am most interested in a new base to swap out the sticky stock base on my Thrustmaster atm as I cba to take it apart and fix something Thrustmaster should have done themselves. I hope you will be ready soon, your LOD and product plans are more interesting then the VKB Gladiator. Good luck and hope to hear news from you soon
  6. Western Europe with the Baltic States, Scandinavia and eastern russia. Norway with its fjords and mountain passes would make for some great flying and combat scenarios
  7. Make it part of the Interphone Comm system. Just add a selection called Co-Pilot or something and add commands like "You have controls, straight and level", "You have controls, commence orbit", You have controls, maintain attitude" and "I have controls" Make responses to each, when you say " I have controls" the co-pilot responds "You have controls" etc etc. It makes the "autopilot" function of the module more immersive. Just my 2 cents
  8. Hi, I have noticed that in MP that the navigation lights of other players helos are not showing up for you. Me and a buddy did a roadtrip and I noticed I could only see his anti-collision lights (the red one under the rotor disk). I thought at first he had forgot them but didn't think much of it, it was after all just a casual flight. After we both posted pictures of the roadtrip on our forums I noticed in his pictures that my Nav lights where off, which in reality they wasn't. Not a huge problem but important non the less.
  9. MAF (MoX Air Force) 1st Air Cavalry Division "First Team" relocation from Nal'Chik Russia to the Georgian theater. 1st Air Cav received orders to redeploy to Georgia on Friday 03.05.13 to provide support for the ongoing conflict. Initially 1st Air Cav will provide transport for ground troops and SAR capabilities. 1st Air Cav have over the weekend moved all assets over the mountains. Including Headquarters Company, Operations Company, Intelligence & Sustainment Company and Signal Company. 1st Air Cav lasts assets where two UH-1H Huey and those where moved Sunday evening 2000 ZULU. Wg Cdr. Farrow and Flt Lt. Exigo was given the task to fly the helos over and get familiar with the terrain. The "roadtrip" was made from Nal'chik to Kutaisi over the mountain. Flying over the mountains is a challenge, we cleared the mountains at 11000 feet and our engines where working hard with the thin air.
  10. Umm i guess :D http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=nomex+flight+gloves&_sacat=See-All-Categories
  11. The Nomex flight gloves are actually kinda nice to have when flying. I use em when flying the Blackhawk and its a thing you get used to tbh. Real military issue NOMEX gloves are very thin. They are also issued for a reason as they protect from fire and heat, cold air if you need to eject, injury protection when fumbling around some poorly finished cockpits/flight decks having protruding screws and sharp edges and finger retention for those who persist in wearing rings against military orders to the contrary. How many have lost fingers resulting from a ring which gets caught up on some protrusion when exiting from a fighter type aircraft. An added bonus is that if you tend to get sweaty hands in warm weather(like me) you wont loose grip on the controls because of sweaty hands. You get used to them, just remember to buy them as small as possible and from a known brand like Hatch or Blackhawk. They should live up to the phrase "Like a glove" :D
  12. Ill take that as a compliment :pilotfly: Thank you
  13. Well ill post my two recorded refuel runs and illustrate what i do. In the first video if you notice around 5 minutes in when i have made contact, that little "window" above the HUD. Notice how the KC-135 represents a cross inside a sight of sorts. I use this as a reference to locate my position relative to the KC-135. The boom has a max and min limits of degrees relative to the KC-135 airframe, i believe its between 20 and 40 degrees and anything outside this will disconnect the boom. The "sweet spot" is said to be around 32 degrees. If you look at 5.02 on the first vid that is as close to perfect as we can get with our limited situational awareness. Its all practice but having a reference point like my "cross" helps. Setting curves on the joy helps alot, this is a setting that is kinda personal so something that works for me wont work for you. But i think i have set it to 15 atm. Also you need to remember that physics are at play in the game, so as you take on fuel you need to increase throttle to keep up with the tanker, so finding the throttle setting on pre-contact will disconnect you after a few hundred pounds more of JET-A on board. Its a constant input battle and even in RL it is, training is key. If you get frustrated leave it and come back later.
  14. Hi, So i have been training and training and this is the culmination of all that training. I now able to perform an in-turn nighttime air refuel. Thanks DCS for creating this perfect sim PS! Sorry for the bad quality, all i have atm is windows live movie maker
