  1. Thanks Guys  Now working back over the modules adding text.
  2. Images in sim. Creating VR friendly buttons for UFC and DDI's. The DDI's are installed in these pictures. Does make it allot easier.
  3. This is very impressive! All this work in 12months..incredible!
  4. Looking good Jself. I recommend raising the text, the print is cleaner, looks better when viewed off-axis, no clean up mess. I go 0.4mm, you can barely see that's raised. You've made great progress especially considering you've only just got your printer! cheers John
  5. Hi Les, yes the whole thing is 3d printed. The total print time would be huge. My print volume is 200mm^3 so that's 8in. I just print in sections and acetone together for big pieces. With the thickness we're talking about for these hoods I think you can gradually bend most woods? Maybe 3d print the shape you're after and bend wood around it?
  6. Hi All, Hood is on now.
  7. This is really great Les, wish I had the room for something like this! I assume you laser cut into white acrylic painted black for the panel faces? If so which laser cutter do you use? cheers John.
  8. Hi Les, Yes it wouldn't be practical, the best would be to butt the main monitor right to where my backbone structure currently is then mount the modules using much thinner material. That would reduce parallax issues. Also couldn't install a small LCD for HUD display as you'd need to "lens" it to infinity somehow. Aesthetically if looks more complete with HUD and soon hood even though I play in VR. cheers John
  9. Hi, HUD is complete. Now onto printing the hood. cheers John
  10. It's function is to poll the input controls every 65536 loops, i.e. 1->65535->0 then poll all inputs.
  11. Thanks foggymind  Yes that is correct some are unused, My original bus was, +12, +5, A, B, Gnd, Reset. +12 is used for the cockpit fans. But for the front cockpit I increased the bus to 10 lanes with extra GND and +5V lines interleaved between A and B. I also dropped the reset line, I've never had to use it. The original only allowed me to run 5-6 modules per bus. The new one has allowed me 12 and-counting without issue. cheers John
  12. CAD drawing for HUD module, just need to do the AoA indexer.
  13. Thanks guys, appreciate your comments. I've completed the text for the left vertical. Also BUNO redone and Wing Fold text.
  14. This week I've add text to the AC control panel and some pics of other modules I hadn't uploaded yet. It's a but dusty, needs a good clean. I'll show pics of the LED internals and in operation later. cheers John
  15. Hi, My printer is 200x200x200, everything can be printed in components then glued or screwed together. cheers John
  16. Hi, I haven't done anymore work on this in months, work took over...I'm not promising anything but I'll see how I go heading into the cooler months. cheers John
  17. Looks great bunnyhu nice way to condense the parts of the UFC into an MFD. I've add a small mod to the DCSBIOS routines that polls the current state of the hardware and syncs with the sim. That way I don't have out of sync issues.
  18. Love your work DERacing, very nice  With winter coming to the southern hemisphere I'm considering finishing my cockpit.
  19. Hi DERacing, there's a link to the 3d files on the first post. cheers John
