  1. Me too Aaron!
  2. Front UFC plate printed. Came out pretty good, now onto the mid section where all the electronics are mounted.
  3. It's going to be long road of printing. Both DDI's are already printed though. Faceplate, 18hrs, though this is at max resolution as it's the face.
  4. Cheers mate!
  5. Thanks Nanne! I do hope to start printing it soon, just need to design the rear mounting plate. We both share the same idea, my plan is to have a generic multi-attachment rear mount allowing any module to be attached, though the end result will be aircraft specific. Your idea is much better for switching between aircraft, I think allot of people would like to have that setup. Looking forward to see it materialise!
  6. Something slightly off-topic, about 2 years ago I began building the 1/32 F/A-18C plastic model. I got as far as the cockpit, I'll go back and finish it one day. DCS and pit building is sucking up all my time...
  7. I've brought all models into one design, this shows the rough placement of the front panels I'm aiming for, F360 did start to struggle.
  8. Hi, At first glance it looks okay. When you operate a switch on the slave do you see the rx light flash on the master? When you run the sim do you see tx on the master and rx on the slave continually flash? Do controls configured directly on the master work? Do you see any messages in the dcs-bios monitor window? Have you tried replacing your 487 ICs? Are you measuring 5V at the 487 supply pin? Can you respond in a PM or create a new thread? This might turn into a long discussion. cheers John
  9. Thanks RightStuff, I think it needs to be thinner. Clearance is 10mm from the centre to the long edge. Just found this on AliExpress, it'll do the trick. Thanks. cheers John
  10. For now I'm using a small toggle, I'll need to hunt online for a larger momentary toggle with centre off.
  11. Hi All, AMPCD is basically done, just need to finish off the rocker switch mechanisms. cheers John
  12. it's not too bad, less than an hour per part and I end up with an f3d cad file I can modify/tweak for future similar components. Also I end up with a model that is exact.
  13. Hi Tom, Yes I will but I've got a fair bit of work left to do before they're ready to be released.
  14. Hi DERacing, I modelled those based on photographs. I do need to tweak some of them.
  15. Thanks! The cap and resistor aren't absolutely required but it does help. I would insert the cap just in-case you've got allot of noise on your supply rails. 10uF should be okay. Can you draw me a circuit diagram? cheers John
  16. Hi Nanne! Thank you, spent all weekend getting it to this point, back at work today... The yellow doesn't mean anything, just breaking up the grey. cheers John
  17. Fire switch guards and HUD overhang thing complete.
  18. Thanks. I've got 10 days leave coming up, I hope to have most of the CAD work complete by the end.
  19. Hi All, IR Cool Switch/HMD/Spin Recovery is complete. Provisions have been made for inserting a LED for the SPIN indicator.
  20. Thanks RightStuff! Yes all those are from scratch. I visit my local electronics store, buy what is available to me, and it's action feels right then model it in F360. I'd done this months ago so now I'm just pulling the components from my own library. Only the screws aren't mine. cheers John
  21. Hi Razi, I have a master design file that I link all my other design files. So there's one for each major component. As it's linked an update on a component is also updated on the master. All common objects like switches/push buttons, knobs are also all linked from smaller design files. There's allot of linking :) cheers John
  22. All Parts together. I still need to model the switch guard for the above panel.
  23. That's looks awesome FoxDelta, your contributions are truly unique! Enjoy your vacation. cheers John
