Hi Device, That mean that the oculus developer kit 2 has as target group developers and not customers. So it have a lower resolution, a stronger pixle grid and perhapes less features than the final customer version yes, but the optical quality will be in the oculus not so good like when you watching that videos on the screen, because you will also have pixlegrid, which means you can see with your eyes the pixles of the display. from case to case different, depends how good your eyes are without glasses if you have luck you can use it without glasses, if you have no luck like me for example you must wear your glasses, but there is enough space for that. the oculus dk2 have a resolution of 960 x 1080 per eye. Perhapes the final consumer version will have a better display, which is to be very likely. At the moment the oculus rift and dk 2 is just a gadget for normal consumers, which gives you a impression of the immersion which the final consumer product 'could' provide but not more. So it's on you to decide if it's worth or better to wait ~6 - 12 months to get a final product with that you can play games very good. i don't know how much shipping costs you have to pay, i live in germany and i have to pay 55USD shipping costs and 76.95 USD fees and taxes and end up with total costs of 481.95 USD

thats my last word in this thread as customer if we don't get at least the choice to choose which plane we get, i'am done with ED and DCS. I have bought in the last years nearly each DCS product, the most of them fullprice, but that kind of treatment is totaly inacceptable.

the difference is, they selected that option on the kickstarter campaign, but it seems the majority selected the option to choose which aircraft they wanna, you can see the numbers on the kickstarter site

seems that project is that profitable for ED that it was not worth to frozen, so yes, i can live wonderful with a refund, at the end i will be even cheaper if i buy the moduls i like

it's not like ED didnt has benefit in a big way from the pledges that were done on kickstarter, they got trained new developers and content that were build during the last months it's the damn _MINIMUM_ to give backers at least the choice to select which plane they wanna get and not give them the retarded P51 which they already have in two versions.

somehow it feel not realy right, i've pleged 50$ on kickstarter for all aircrafts, i've also bought a Dora - Key in ED shop, because ED PR ****ed up to make a clear PR statement related to DCS: WWII backers .. somehow i feel anger now

uhm : \ i don't have that issue with my DK1, the only issue i have is that you have a 'strong' plastic smell in the nose. Don't know if it's the case itself or the foam
