the keyboard issue is a real point, thats right, but i think specialy for DCS not a very big one, because you have a full clickable cockpit <3DCS also you can combined that >PERHAPES< with leapmotion (http://leapmotion.com. I think thats a great thing for people that dont have the skill/room for a own build flightpit with multi monitor or projector setup. Also i think the Oculus Rift will have a great future and it would be great if EagleDynamic take a look on it and will give us a lil feedback what they will think about it. At least that thing is in a early state, the developer kits will be ready in december and he consumer version perhapes Q4 2013 <- but thats only my personal speculations

Hey, if this thread is wrong here just move it to the right forum, here are some things that could be better / adjust. Armor's: - missing cannon recoil animation on fire - missing thermal sight (gunner seat) - ability to use smoke grenades <- IMPORTANT !!! - shell ejection (for example at marder or gepard)

dont forget to also update DCS World, else you will have strange sideeffects like no "in-vehicle" view, or problems with selfcreated missions

true that, each DCS Beta i played was ten times more stable and bugless than each Bohemia Interactive product (Arma series) on it's initial release and after the first two "hotfix" patches.

i think the following process would be good: random 3rd party dev can build which plane, vehicle, campaign, copter or map they ever want at quality they ever want. They can sell it how ever they want. At the end the customer decide if its good or not. But ED should offer them also some kind of certification program (on product base), for example, Iris (<3spanky) is releasing the F-15E, ED is testing the modul and it's quality if it's matching the DCS Quality standards the product should get a "DCS certified" logo, should be added to the ED webstore and perhapes it's basemodel should be added to the DCS World base model collection (for easy multiplayer compatibility). In reverse ED should get some cash for each sold F-15 modul (license costs). But that's just my idea .. sorry for my broken engrish ; )

i for one realy waiting for this, i already have some ideas for a good keyboard layout to find the right button without seeing the keyboard. Further i look out for leap motion, what hopefully will make it much easier to press buttons in the ingame cockpit. by the way i already have cancel my Sony HMZ-T1 order to wait on the Oculus Rift. If it's just half as good as everyone told in the press it will be a awesome experience. In my eyes it is a great and cheap alternative to a own pit, specially when you dont have the place or the money for example a 3 projector setup with a curved screen and edge blending software.

thanks for the update ED. Historical aircrafts are not my real thing but it's always interessting and nice to see on what you work and what progress you do. Can't wait on infos about Land Combat and the new modern aircraft : )
