Great map. First time I see 64GB RAM being almost fully used.... I wonder if there would be any benefit with 96GB (for my next build).

@fael097 This looks fantastic, are you still using it? I do however wonder how you manage with head tracking. Do you only use it for VR?

How are you setting which cores it runs on? Affinity in Task Manager? I haven't been bothering to set anything as I thought ED fixed DCS to run on the 3D cores in a recent OB release. Maybe I should be setting something. -

Anyone tried today's patch on the 7950x3D? -

I'd love an Aero - very nice, enjoy it. Il'l stick to my Reverb G2 for now. To overclock your 7800x3D you do not need any software, Ryzen Master does not give you a stable CO overclock anyway, you need to do it manually. I would just go into the BIOS and enable PBO, and enable Curve Optimizer and start with a -10 so all core offset. You can fine tune this later if you wish, but realistically this will give you most of any available benefit. Check out the overclock guides from Buildzoid's, his 7950x3d guide is fine to use. -

I would take that result with a pinch of salt.....it's easy to screw up benchmarks. I would look for more sources which make this claim. For example, Toms Hardware had the 4090 well ahead of the 7900XTX last December in DX11. But...AMDs drivers have improved a lot and MSFS does not seem to behave like all other titles, so it's hard to say. -

Really? I never heard that before. Does DDR5 not play well with Windows 10? -

When I upgraded from 32GB to 64GB I was sporting a 5800x3D/4090. I am now using a 7950x3D with the same 4090, but with 64GB DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 RAM (2x32). To elaborate a little, the improvement with 64GB was (almost?) completely on multiplayer only. I don't think there was much improvement in single player. The overall experience is just a little less clunky. Especially on the Syria map. -

I saw a huge improvement in smothness, loading times and stability when I went to 64GB. Definitely worth it for me. -

Thanks @Kreutzberg , but how do you establish that game bar has recognised DCS as a game? For me, when I hit Win+G in just in Windows, I don't see much (any?) difference. -

Hi all - sorry for the basic question - how do you guys know that xbox game bar is recognising DCS? I am seeing DCS loading my cores 8 to 15 rather than 0 to 7. If I set the affinity in the task manager, I can force DCS onto cores 0-7. Is something wrong on my end, or is this normal behavior? I have a 7950x3D/4090/64GB on Win 11 with the latest BIOS, latest xbox game bar version and the chipset & CPU drivers from the AMD website. EDIT: I'm using the MT version of DCS OB. -

For any of you optimising new systems and new windows installs, this might be of interest. Up to 15% performance gain in MSFS. Who knows how DCS reacts, worth a shot. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/windows-vbs-harms-performance-rtx-4090 I would try it, but I am dealing with a small leak issue on my 7950x3D/4090 custom loop rig (no damage, thankfully). -

@Th3ChosenOn3 nice, thanks for posting. Have fun with it. I built my 7950x3D today. I haven't had time to install DCS yet though, looking forward to trying it this weekend. -

@mjfrisby Thanks for posting, wow - it looks looks like a significant improvement with the 7950x3D. Looks like we bought the right CPU. Now we just need a 4090ti (or a 5090) -

I ran a test or two with task manager running....it also ate quite a few frames.... I wonder if it be worthwhile trying to set the affinity of tacview, to force it onto another core, away from DCS. My AM5 water block has finally shipped, I will be able to build my 7950x3D rig this week -

I just tried it at 1080p.....I get the same numbers. No improvement. I guess I am still not GPU limited. For anyone out there with a different CPU, ideally a Ryzen 7000 or an Intel 12th/13th gen, please run the benchmark and post your results, it would be very interesting. -

@Th3ChosenOn3 Does anyone want to doubt the 5800x3D? I am surprised myself with the results. This is a 5800x3D/4080/64GB 2x32GB 3600 CL16 on a custom loop. The system is at stock settings, no curve optimizer and the 4080 is on the latest drivers and also at stock. Test was done on the current OB release. 4k resolution at HIGH pre-set. Nothing running in the background. The GPU avg utilisation was 98% - I might be GPU limited. -

@Th3ChosenOn3 Thanks - I have it installed and it is working. How do you create your nice plots? I am currently on a 5800x/3080/32GB-3600CL16 but I can move to the 5800x3d PC after. Attached is what I got at 4k, does that look correct? -

@Th3ChosenOn3 Nice. I will try this too. I'll and post my result. I am currently running a 5800x3D/4080/64GB-3600 CL16. Can you post your graphics settings? I have a 7950x3d sitting in the box waiting for my water block to arrive, I also have a 4090 and 64GB DDR5 CL30 ready to go. -
Has anyone got a P-47 Stream Deck Profile they would be willing to share? I am just starting out with the module. Thanks so much.

Full deflection of the rudder at 200kts should have a dramatic effect on the aircraft, but you can do just that, no problem.

Seems really off (much too small), even why flying fast. Anyone agree?
