  1. I see, thank you, PeneCruz for your reply and to tell me what I can do. BR, DK
  2. Hi, Not sure if these points have been reported or communicated, but I didn’t find anything about it in the forum yet. I have following points: Kneeboard: on the A-10 C II the first page of the kneeboard is not the default one from Vaicom. In other modules e.g. F-14 and A-10 C legacy it is the correct one. Anybody having the same issue, and how to solve it? I like to play single player campaigns and I discovered that wingmen (assigned planes, not really wingmen on my flight) stick with me, even they suppose to leave me at certain points during the mission. In particular the Iron Flag and Enemy within 3.0 campaigns. Based on following thread it could be related to Vaicom: A-10C Iron Flag Part I Campaign - Mission 3 - Biff not landing Can this be confirmed (I tried later again the Iron Flag mission without the UH-60 mod)? No joy. Thanks, DK
  3. I just flew the mission again with Vaicom and VA not running but not disabled or uninstalled. I can confirm same result. Looks like I have to live with that, because I have too many functions assigned to Vaicom / VA to make flying easier, especially in VR. E.g. I call up my kneepad instead of peaking under my VR mask to find the correct keys and the keyboard. It is however good to know that it is related to my settings. And I think that it is the same issue I had in other missions with Biff not waiting for me to land first. @bjdy: can you confirm not using Vaicom and VA and other unofficial mods? That would be interessting to know. @baltic_dragon: Thank you for your reply and support, when do we get part2?
  4. Dear King39 and anyone who is not sure if he / she should buy this game, For a long time, I didn’t want to buy the campaign based on all the negative comments about it. Until I read a comment from one user saying that there is a lot of effort and details in this campaign and that this person bought the campaign to support you, King39. And I changed my mind, because everybody starts as a beginner and gets better by time, and you should encourage campaign makers to continue and not pinning them down! Now to my feedback: I really had my fun and enjoyed this campaign! And I don’t regret that I bought it. The campaign doesn’t get boring, there are several surprises, e.g. you finished your original task, and then you get called back to land to reload your plane for another, new task and get your debrief while loading your plane. For those who are considering buying the campaign, I must say, that this campaign is not for people who want to hop into the game, play one hour and then call it a day. Some missions took me more than 3h to complete, due to the stupidity of AI wingmen! There are also some points to be considered. It is not a 100% realistic campaign; the Russian Airforce is not present. They invade Georgia basically without air support. The same for a mission where you penetrate into Russia, no Mig at all. But for me it was ok, so I could concentrate on my air to ground tasks. But there is one thing I really dislike and that is that I was not able to modify the payload of my flight! Because of the stupidity of AI wingmen, who use to crash into mountains, I prefer them to be long range attackers by using Mav´s and High-altitude bombers. And when they are loaded with laser guided rockets and use them, they all get shot down. Why not leave it to the player to either follow your suggestion and realistic payload or adopt it to ED logic? And I prefer to check my flight with “F2”. I need this feature to check how much ammo they still have, since we do not have a function for this in the comms menu. But this was not possible, because you disabled the function. I really would appreciate if you, King39, could consider these 2 points for your next campaign, which I am looking forward to. As a resume: Yes, the campaign is not 100% realistic and sometimes doesn’t seem to be logic. And there are bugs, some related to King39 and probably most of them related to ED game logic and changes from patches. But if you want to have some fun and do a lot of Brrrrrrrrrt, buy it (you can always wait for sales, if you want to reduce the “risk”). I think this campaign is especially good for pilots who just finished flight school and still need to work on complexity and situational awareness. Thanks for this campaign and I hope to see soon more from you, King39! BR, DK
  5. Hi, I had the same issue and then, after reading this, I thought try it again (to get at least 51 points and some kills) and somehow, I said to myself: "Let´s follow the script!" And it worked! It feels odd but see it in a way that you clean up the mess after they rescued the downed pilot. That said, when you get the message that you are 10min out and you should do the call out (from inside the hanger!), DO IT! And everything works out. They picked up the pilot and before you arrive at the border, the helos are on the way back home and you get the message to RTB. I decided then to still engage the Russians and cleaned up everything. Surprisingly when I finished them, an AH-64 appeared, and I thought to do some CAS for him, even though there was nothing left. Unfortunately, he crashed into a mountain on the way back home. Landed and mission complete. BR, DK
  6. Hi, it is 2 and 3. Interessting, I was not aware of this. For VAICOMM and Voice Attack, it doesn´t matter if it is running in parallel or if I didn´t turn it on?
  7. Hi, since this is about experience with mission 4, I would also like to share my experience. Great mission! Although I had to fly it twice since I broke the triggers in my first attempt. Not 100% sure why, but after the 3D exercise I lost the triggers. During my 2nd attempt I discovered while I was doing the 3D exercise that I was on route to waypoint 7 (and was wondering why it didn´t work). I changed to WPT 6 (MSN5), flew back and then it all worked, and the triggers were running till the end. Probably I made the same mistake before. Due to the complexity of this mission, I found it very helpful to repeat everything, because now the flow was more smooth.
  8. Hi, I just want to share this. After Biff got clearance to land, he stayed with me and made no intentions to land. Solution to finish: I was able to continue by deciding to land and when I and Biff, who followed me in formation, got 5 miles away from the runway, the triggers jumped in, although for both of us. I continued to land, and Biff cancelled his approach. I left the runway at the end while Biff landed. He left the runway at half of the runway and then I just had to follow him and finished as planned. BR, DK
  9. I see, the mysteries of DCS.... The strange thing is that it looks like only this specific mission is effected. As I said the joint mission with the Georgians and later also with the Polish F-16's woked. At least they didn't crash during the landing by abording the approach even though they behaved like ordinary wingmen dancing up and down during approach! Thank you for your heads up and quick response, Baltic Dragon! I wish you a happy new year and looking forward for your new campaigns! DK
  10. Hi Baltic Dragon, During several attempts today Doge 2 didn't leave the formation to continue their route. They stayed in position even when I attacked the enemy at Echo 2. After a while, I realized they disappeared. After I defeated the enemy at Echo 2 and went to help Echo 3, they appeared again. I didn't have this issue with the Georgian flights joining we on previous missions. What I also realized is, that I didn't receive a call that my wingman and Doge 2 joined formation while anchoring at WP 1. Any hint? Cheers, DK
  11. Hi, didn't work for me today after 2 tries. And yes, I set the ARC186 to the correct frequency and I also tried all PT-buttons on my HOTAS. Nothing. Because I still didn't get the 9-line, I decided to destroy the morters. When finished, I got the confirmation from warrior and RTB. And thought, ok at least the triggers work. But when I wanted to report in to Kobulati, I found all my comms were dead. Either via voice call, nor using the menu function. Any clue? Or ED still didn't released your update? DK
  12. Hi there, I want to share my experience with this mission with those who have difficulties. In my first try, Echo 2 got overrun, because Doge 1.2 took to much time to take out the remaining house. He first attacked the airdefences at the other places. And I didn't want to drop a dumb bomb in a danger close situation (or should I have done it?!). In my last attempt I told my wingman to attack any ground targets right after I got the hot in call from Echo 2, and he first destroyed a building, then I ordered him to attack air defences. And it worked, I could help to defend Echo 2. I have to admit, that I loaded for my last attempt 4 GBU 12 to be able to destroy all houses, which was then of course not needed. I wasn't sure first if I should do that because I like the thought that you probably do not have all fancy weapons available in a combat mission like this one. It is not a major attention to the US govournment and you need to take what you have. Especially at the beginning of an operation like that. My first intention of this thread was to ask baltic Dragon to consider the problem in the mission making to have either the A-10 loaded with 4 GBUs by default, or reduce the number of houses. But looking back, I think it was the intention probably to consider using dumb bombs in danger close situation. Or just use the laser rockets, which also blow up houses (if you still have enough left). Maybe a call to Echo 2 would be great saying:" Doge 1.1 I run out of GBUs, request use of dumb bombs." Baltic Dragon, you do a great job and put a lot of realism in your campaigns. I think this situation is not unrealistic to consider using dumb bombs in real life to avoud your guys get overrun. Either it works and you are the hero by safing your people, or you kill your own people! Thanks! DK
  13. Hi, I know it is quite a long time agao since the last post, but I want to share my experience for anyone who faces the same issue as I do. Don´t be the lazzy guy and leave your pointer on! Turn it off after each completed attack run. Turn on your pointer after the conversation on coms, that means when you get the "copy" from the gunship! Then you get the message "I, Ray Target", and Enfield replys "COLT 1-1, ENFIELD 2-1, TALLY TARGETS!". And then it works while orbiting. The only thing what I have to say is, that I pushed the NSW button, I got my call out, but I could not see the IR beam (yes, I had IR pointer set on the MFD and it was also not masked). Since I knew the trigger was working and I didn't want to repeat the mission again, I kept it as it is. Maybe, if someone wants, he / she can try to push the NSW button until the beam is visible. Cheers!
  14. Ooo, I see. My bad! I guess I was too excited when reading it. My teacher used to say: The one who can read is definetly having an advantage!
