Bailey's VoiceAttack Profiles (Added OH-58D Kiowa!)
FredOfMBOX replied to Bailey's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The problem with the UH-1H profile is that "increase" and "decrease" are reversed. As far as I can tell, this is a bug with the Huey keybindings in DCS, dating back to 2022 or earlier. Additionally, the key binding for "UHF Radio 1MHz Increase" is by default set to LCtrl-LShft-R, but does not work. The right way to fix it is to fix DCS. But I can't do that, and apparently they've not bothered after 2+ years. So attached is a "corrected" profile. You must redefine "UHF Radio 1MHz Increase" to be LCtrl-LShft-F. (If you choose something else, edit the "UHF Comm Tuning" action in the profile.) Lastly, I fixed the FM Radio to only go up to 75.95 instead of 80.95. Not sure when this changed, but it's as far as the radio in the Huey will go. And I bumped the version to 1.01F (F is my first initial), just so we can tell them apart. P.S. Remember to say "Reset Huey Frequencies". This is less necessary if you uncheck "Block Potentially Harmful Profile Actions" in the profile options. P.P.S. Thanks @Baileyfor all the original work. Feel free to snag my changes and incorporate them. Bailey Huey V1.01F-Profile.vap -
This is still an issue. THe binds that say "decrease" actually increase, and the binds that say "increase" actually decrease. And "UHF 1MHz Increase", which is bound by default to LCtrl-LShift-R, doesn't do anything. This is probably something else intercepting it, but I can't figure out what.

Bailey's VoiceAttack Profiles (Added OH-58D Kiowa!)
FredOfMBOX replied to Bailey's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Has anybody updated the UH-1H profile to use the new keybinds? It seems like ED reversed a few of the +10/-10 tuning keybinds and did some other things that make the profile not-quite-useful (but so close! thanks for all the work, bailey!). -
I would like to get some gauges on a second monitor for the Mi8-MTV2, and in particular the "Hover and Low Speed Control Indicator": null I've successfully set up gauges in the past for the A-10C, but these were premade and I only had to link the bindings. Questions: Are there premade gauges for the Mi8 HIP? If not, is there a premade hover and low speed controls indicator for some other helicopter that I could copy/reuse? If not, are there any good tutorials on how to make a custom indicator? I've also checked out Capt Zeen's Profile, but it's the whole console and I'd really just like a set of individual gauges. So far, I've been unable to figure out how to pick and choose (or cut and paste) individual gauges. I'd appreciate any tips/tricks/links you may have.

At the end of the NOTE section at the bottom of the main description, where it talks about the book, it says: Loose rhymes with "Noose", and describes jeans and lids that don't fit quite right. Lose rhymes with "Ooze", and means to suffer a loss. Yeah, it's a minor detail, but it's off-putting to have such a glaring spelling error on the very first thing I see in the campaign.

FYI, I'm having the same issue. The missiles fire and hit the helicopter in front of me and behind me, and they go falling out of the sky, but the mission doesn't progress.

For anybody who finds this thread after me, I found a workaround using reshade that seems to work okay. -

It's always so disappointing to find a bug that you're experiencing, and find that they've known about it for 3 years and there's no fix/workaround posted. My screen is very bright in windows. In the sim, it's the mav display is unusable. It's perfectly usable on the main viewport. -
@Feller-Buncher , @dflight01, or anybody else, did you ever get this working? I see that the DCS UFC github page now handwaves over it a bit. I think it's saying to use that script instead of ExportScripts? But it comes with a big caveat: That makes me uncomfortable, as I'm using the exportscript extensively already, and even if it doesn't affect what I'm currently doing, it sounds like it might in the future. I'd be happier if I could get both scripts working side-by-side. I'm mainly using the A10C II.

This is not working for me, either. But I'm not sure I'm understanding the direction for the workaround. "You can press and hold OSB 14, select MAV from the DTS, then press OSB 14 again." Is this on the left or the right MFD? Is this before or after I've changed EO to "on" from the DSMS MSL screen? "This will now place the MAV screen on the right MFD and you can continue with the training mission (to get yourself practice/training)." From this, I assume I did the first part on the right MFD, but it doesn't seem to change a thing. It seems to still be waiting for me to hit OSB4. -- EDIT: Rereading this thread, and I'm not sure I'm talking about the same thing. In my tutorial, it asks me to select DSMS on the left MFD, then MSL, then turn EO On via OSB-4. When I do this, a timer starts at the bottom, and just keeps going and going and going... I can put the MAV on the right MFD, and verify that alignment completes. But the tutorial text never moves past the step telling me to engage EO Power On, so I have no idea what to do next.
