Will crystal super have USB3 connection? I have a leap motion 2 and it would be nice to be able to use it without any extra cables.

I have not had any problem updating the joystick or the base, but I have MFSSB and it wont let me update that without taking the grip off. But when I do that , there is no option to update the MFSSB. nullI just updated to simappro 1.16.14 and it did not fix the problem. was on 1.15 something before, did not work with pervious versions either. Winwings response was, that it's not a problem to run on 1.03 Sure it works , but would not 1.04 be better? I don't know what has changed. Any ideas on what to do?

I'm a bit confused for the fix. I have VB4.4 and only the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Varjo\OpenXR set as per Settings Tips for OpenXR Applications: Varjo Quad View and Foveated Rendering – Varjo.com So should I keep VB 4.4 but remove this set, and just install mbucchia Varjo Varjo-Foveated again (had deleted it as I thought is was not needed anymore). Edit: Removed the regedit fix, and installed mbucchia Varjo Varjo-Foveated and all is working well again

I just got my leap motion 2 but the included cable is too short for my setup. I have tested all my USB-c cables but it always comes back as it’s using usb2.0 in the application, which gives lower tracking quality. I ordered new high speed usb-c cables but it’s the same problem. (PAXO 5 m kabel, USB C to USB C, 10 Gbps, USB 3.2 Gen2, USB type C) Does anyone have an idea of what cable to buy to get this working. I would need aprox 4-5 meter long cable that is usb-c on both ends. Also if its a bit thinner , as the ones I got were braided and really stiff and bulky.

Yes, you are correct, was thinking of wartime roadbases. So question is why it does not work correctly in DCS.

I have tested from Ramat David rwys 15 and 27 If I start from rwy27 , do a correction of LS, I get B1 aprox 230m to the right of where it is supposed to be. If I don’t set the LS and start from 27, I’m closer to the B1 wp at 150m. And finally if I start from 15, dont set LS as it’s the default, I’m 70m from the B1 wp. I have not tested from the third rwy, but I have a feeling it will just get worse, regardless if I set the LS. I don’t know if this is specific for this map, or base, or if it’s a bug in general. Also, if you start from a base that has paralell rwys, like 15R and 15L, how do you set which to start from? The heading will be correct, but in worst case you will be way off sideways from the wy. The same then goes for the landing if you are using ”landning NAV” as the TILS might be set for the wrong rwy.
-
Nope, that did not fix it. I tried setting the rwy to 264010 when I had taxied out on the rwy. The B1 wp is still 100-200m off to the right (I have set it to a helipad with some lights on that stands out in the dark) The thing is that if I start from rwy 33, I fly over the helipad, and when going from rw15 I have it on the left of the helipad. So there is just a slight difference, but still some. So when going from any other rwy than default, regardless if I set the correct rwy heading, I'm quite far from where I expect the wp to be. Yes, I know I can correct the wp, with TV fix, but it might not be as easy in the dark, and if there is no special features that the radar can fix on, then you might be out of luck. In the end this is something that is wrong. It seems that there is only one rwy point for each base. Of course, our Swedish military bases don't have multiple rwys. So it might make sense. Test my mission and see for yourself. Mission+Combatflite+cartridge included in the zipfile THT mission issue.zip

Could it be that I set it at the ramp, not the runway? Will test it and see.
-
Sorry that was a typo, I did set it to 264010.

On bases with a single rwy I know how to change which one I will take of from. But larger bases with 2-3 rwys like Ramat David, I get the 15 by default, how do I change to 27 as example? Also , can I set it in the data cartridge via F10 or Combatflite? I have not found any options for it. I tested to manually set it via Bana , set 264 (rwy 27 on Ramat) and 10 for TILS. So (26410) . But the turningpoints B1 etc was not aligned when I did that.

Not sure if it should be able or not, but I cannot get it to lock on to anything at night, even if it's a ship with lights on that it can see easily. It does not say anything about night operational or not in the manual.

In-ear headphones for DCS with microphone?
F19_CoNa replied to Aviators's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Might be we have different headphones from Varjo or our taste in sound differs. Taste is personal and I wont argue with that. I just know the ones I got sucks, and I’m still no audiophile -

Try a better pair of headsets and you will find that its really bad. The only good with it is the lenght of the cables. -

Fully agree, I would love to have the Index off ear speakers (same as HP G1-g2) on this headset. Not sure the reason they did not go that extra little bit. -

Get a short 10-20cm 3.5 mm splitter to mic and stereo out. Then you can use an old detachable mic from a used headset if you have one, or get a short mic/mic boom and you are free to use any ordinary inear that does not have mic (3 pin). Just a bit of clever cable management left. Works well with Varjo Aero. I just wish they would have added bluetooth to that headset. Would have resolved a lot of cabling for audio. -
Same here, it’s all muscle memory. I have put some plastic dots on my cougar mfds (dots from cupboard door dampeners). Makes it easier to feel which buttons I need to find.
-
To be honest, as a VR only pilot, I wish they would do a ”light version” without the DED. I have no use for that at all. Pull it off and lower price with 25-50€. But If the price is right I will probably order one anyway

Issue has already been resolved for me. I did contact ww and they advised that you cannot turn off the beeps. Its there to protect the stick from overload. As I advised they should then remove the option to turn it off, or put a note that the feature is disabeled to protect from force overload I still think they should have it possible to disable the beep, as most of us fly with headphones and will not hear it anyway. It’s just the ones around us that get annoyed. They agreed that they would look into that for next software release. The solution is quite easy to resolve. Set the forces lower. If you have it at 50% or higher, you will to pull harder to get it to turn, thus getting into the ”beep range” I have it at 25% and 10% see picture. It suddenly makes sense when you fly.

Just got a ww orion2 mfssb F16 ex stick that I cannot turn off the boundary beeps on. It does not matter if I set it to off in the config it still beeps. I can turn off the vibration, and it beep when i test the beep signal. Have tried setting to off and shut down the app, it does not help either. Anyone have any ideas as it’s getting on my nerves with the beeps.

After a reboot and setting it to "D:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin-mt\DCS.exe" --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR it finally worked again However the 2d screen is not quad view. Should/must it be? Also, how can I verify that foveated is working?
-
Has been out for a while so I'm a bit lost with the latest updates I'm trying to get the foveated OXR to run on OB version. Question, do we not need to set bin-mt on the start thread anymore? I cannot get it to work with that added. Only get a white screen and I can hear the music, and the varjo screen is black. If I dont use it, then it works, but the fps is really low compared to what I had before. I have removed the wrapper, installed the fovated msi 0.1 and added the 0.2. I'm not running OX toolkit. I see that I have quad view so that should be ok also. That should be it... or am I missing someting?

Varjo Aero: Общее руководство для новых владельцев

I just installed the open beta. Not that keen on running betas but I’ll bite the bullet this time. As I’m kind of new with the Aero, I saw that I had quad view when running it. Downloaded and installed the mbuccia wrapp, but I still get quad view. Any advise on what I’m missing?
