  1. @Baldrick33 >Have you recentred in DCS - default numpad 5 Ehh...no, actually And that did the trick. Thanks, never occurred to me to try that one (a bit new to this VR thing ) Looks like I have to do it every time I restart start, but maybe there is some way to save the default position?
  2. Thanks for the suggestion, but my problem is when I'm testing various settings for VR (not switching between VR and mono) Let's say I want to change the Pixel Density for example. DCS then restarts by itself and starts without the commandline params that I need. Not sure how what you suggest would help here... Would be great if I could decide myself when to restart the sim. Or if there was a way to specify default startup params like some other sim/games have. I'm often also starting DCS through Virtual Desktop (right-click and select "Launch game") so default params would not help for that anyway... Hopefully I will soon find the nirvana settings and everything will be stable and nice with no more changes!?? Probably not...
  3. Hi, Starting DCS with: "C:\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS.exe" --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR I get this in the log: 2023-01-29 09:53:39.772 INFO VISUALIZER (Main): LAUNCH IN VR OpenXR: SteamVR/OpenXR : oculus The problem is that the DCS menu and aircraft is positioned ca 1-2 meters too low to the VR world. Recentering in Steam does not fix this. It does recenter me correctly in the Steam VR world and if the azimut is wrong, but DCS itself is too low. Se pictures below. Any ideas? Makes for an interesting flying experience though... (BTW: I'm using a Pico 4 with Virtual Desktop and a RTX 4090. Works great apart from this. Love the lenses, the wireless and the active cooling!)
  4. Hi, Is there a way to avoid having DCS doing a automatic restart after changing graphic options? I’m aware a restart is needed for certain options to take effect, but I need to start DCS with certain parameters because of VR . It’s anoying and time consuming to having it restart by itself as I then need to shut it down again before starting it again the proper way.

  6. @VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants >The sad thing about using Pico4 is we have to talk to SteamVR/OpenXR which means studdering at load screens... I uninstalled SteamVR and launch DCS by right-clicking on the VD streamer and selecting "Launch game...". This runs fine and no studdering on the load screen. I think I also got some more fps compared through the SteamVR runtime. (this was before the OB that release just now. Maybe it's not necessary to delete SteamVR now...?) Maybe there is some downside to doing it this way, but I have not seen it.
  7. @RealDCSpilot Thanks for the info and help! Are you saying that VD implements the actual OculusVR runtime, not only interfacing to the api? As I mentioned I have never installed any software from Oculus so that sounds correct... Eager to get StreamVR working as well, but I don't know what is causing all the flickering on loading and the re-center problem. I will try reinstalling it again. Do you think there is any downside to using Oculus runtime? To me it in some ways looks "cleaner" than SteamVR as I go directly to the VR hangar in DCS when I launch DCS. There is no SteamVR world (the mountains around you) or SteamVR desktop on top of the VD desktop... But maybe that doesn't matter performance wise... How do you launch DCS? Doubleclick on the DCS icon in VD, right-click on VD streamer or start from SteamVR desktop...??
  8. Hi, Using Pico 4 and Virtual Desktop, I have always used the Oculus runtime by starting VD with DCS.exe as a parameter. This avoided the flickering in SteamVR and also gave me a few more fps. After the new OB I got entered SteamVR regardless and was situated 2 meters above my aircraft. I try to push the recenter/realign, but could not get it to work. I solved this by deleting SteamVR and now everything works fine with 75-90 fps in Nevada for example. I read early in the thread something like Pico had to use the SteamVR so I don't understand this. I have never owned or installed any Oculus HW or SW. I just have Pico, VD and DCS. A bit confused here... Also I would like to have SteamVR working to be able to compare what's best for me.
  9. I must admit that I have wasted your time. You were correct, I just had to adjust the brightens/contrast on the Flir to see them properly. So nothing related to mods, just my own fault Thanks for your help anyway!
  10. Thanks for the quick response. That must be it, will try tonight and update you. Looking forward to progress on this great campaign!
  11. Hi, Tried both TV and both IR modus. The Flir is super clear and just like what you can see in the videos from guys that have done the mission. It’s just that the fortification is empty. And I cannot find the two artillery anywhere else either… Will they always be in the fortification as showed in the briefing or can they be placed other places? Could it be that I have a mod that removes this asset-type?
  12. Hi, Greate campaign which I realy like and managed to get 95-98 on all previous missions after a few runs. On M4 I have tried 3 times now, but when I arrive with the flight to WP6 there are no AKATSIAs to be found. The compund shown in the briefing is empty except from personel. I search around with the FLIR, but could only find what looks to be tanks, tents and trucks. Bombed the secondary target (depot), but obviously got a score on 50 since I missed the prim. targets. What's happening. Am I not looking good enought or is something missing? I watch a Youtube video of the same mission and there the artillery was as expected. I'm on the Open beta 2.7.16.28157. I also tried with the newest, 2.7.17, with the same result. Regards Hillman
  13. Struggled with the same problem; could not get datalink to work (except when I also enabled TCN). This video also explains the D/L issue:
