Got it. I see that now. Taking this issue a bit further, I put on my best Chuck Yeager jacket, and gathered some data. I looks like ED modeled the "WITH RAM" performance to match "NO RAM" column of the -7 chart.

FPS drop after viewing F10 Map

Had this happen again. The game was unplayable, so I exited. The lag was still present at the menu. @BIGNEWY Can we make sure this issue is being looked at and tracked please? -
Does anyone know the history on this issue? Why are we using the -3 specs when all D model P-51's had the -7 variant?

In my case, it eventually recovers. -
FPS drop after viewing F10 Map

Confirmed not fixed. Flying through flac, checked F10, came back to 30 FPS. After 5 minutes or so, performance returned. -

This appears to be fixed with 2.8.4.39731. -

A little more info. That was recorded at 37 PPD. I went back and tried the same scenario at 35 PPD and the problem did not occur. Tried 37 PPD and 39 PPD and the problem did not occur. 4YA WWII is now only about 40 players. At the time the clip was recorded, there were 80-90 players. Perhaps this is related to server load. -
In 4YA WWII server, take-off with 80 fps, view F10 menu, fps drops in half. Attached video shows this happening. This does not happen in single thread version. Log file attached. Varjo, OpenXR, 13900K, 32GB RAM, 4090 dcs.log

MT running with E-cores only
Ben Diss replied to divinee's topic in Multi-Threading Bug Reports (Temp)
13900K, 4090, 64 RAM VR: running all e-cores, p-cores idle. Monitor: runs one p-core at 100%, all e-cores. In VR, no difference in frame rate between ST and MT bins. -
Ben Diss started following MT running with E-cores only and DCS MT wont launch with E-Cores disabled

I had that using a 4080. I switched to a 4090 and it's quick again. When I ran the 4080, if I turned down settings very low and F10 menu performed well again. I'm surprised you found that hyperthread made a difference. I found that the new multithreading only used 8 cores. I tested with HT enabled and disabled and found no difference, so I disabled it. With HT disabled, I was able to increase my clock speed a few ticks. Seeing 90fps even in multiplayer now.

I fought hard and eventually was issued a refund. I had three different tech issues. Support is very poor and ultimately couldn't solve my problem. I ponied up for a Varjo Aero and couldn't be happier.
