  1. "This is a flight simulator, this is a flight simulator." Woooosha. Lol
  2. Lol WTF is that TAPS set up?!?! Who approved of that... 12 mags, 4 grenades(maybe a 5th?), IFAK and a giant GP pouch. That set ups only purpose is to rest your arms on lol. I don't understand the recent hard on for balaclava masks. We don't wear that crap on the ground. Currenthill save us!
  3. As someone who has spent a lot of time under nods, nvgs, whatever you want to call it. I would absolutely love to have an updated night sky just to stare at. But I can see that essentially being a complete overhaul as the sun/moon cycle is accurate based on dates.
  4. So pretty much a inhouse tacview?
  5. Like I mentioned in the first post. You can dictate that AI behavior with airfields with one or two runways by changing the wind direction. But with bigger airfields especially ones that have crossing runways AI will taxi around and take off no matter what the wind heading is.
  6. No, rather have a javelin team knock out ground units from 5k away
  7. I have been wanting the Javelin to be a in game option for years so figured I would ask here. The additional units would be great as well especially for us low flying pilots
  8. That isn't the ED way.
  9. Just my normal 70+ day bump
  10. Would be nice to be able to select the active runway for AI to use. Some airfields you can do this by changing the wind heading. With bigger airfields that have runways that cross each this does not work. I tried making a mission with the AI slotted in right next to the runway I wanted them to use but they wanted to Taxi all the way around the airfield to use a completely different runway.
  11. Currently we have the trigger to use the illuminating bomb which is essentially a parachute illumination round that lights up the area to the naked eye. Since we have night vision capabilities in the DCS it would be cool to get some IR round capabilities to simulate that we "own the night" and can light up an area simulating the opposing force doesn't have night vision capabilities. If you're confused on what I'm asking. Having an illumination round that can only be seen while using night vision.
  12. Lol "I can see things clearly with nvg up to 10-ish km." Looks up at the stars
  13. Fully tracking but it needs to be reworked and the MK-19 itself should be more available
  14. I know it's not a cool fancy toy for an aircraft but this would add some spice to the blue ground forces since they're lacking in capability in DCS. This weapon system has been around for a long time and I'm not sure why it's not in DCS. This would be a great addition to the American or blue light vehicles that have the M2 .50cal. The Mk-19 can be mounted on a tripod for dismounted operations(so can the .50cal) and mounted on vehicles. Some examples in DCS would be the ICV Stryker, HMMWV, MRAP. Bonus: Plenty of public information on this. So getting resources/information is at the finger tips. Simplification for DCS Ammo: 40mm grenade belt fed. Plenty of ammo options. HEDP being the main round and can penetrate 3 inches of armor. "bye bye light red armor" Ranges: Point target: 1,500 meters. Area target: 2,212 meters Can be used as direct fire or indirect for area suppression.(Think of an automatic mortar.) Single round has a blast kill radius of 20ft. So a burst of 5-10 rounds can cover a lot of area. So any troops in the open are going to have a bad time, and... if they try to hide behind cover, most likely that cover is deleted or throw that system into indirect mode and rain down some rounds from above. Are you getting what I'm putting down? TLDR It's pretty awesome and should be in the game for blue ground forces.
